I have a Losi and a Slash and the slash just runs better and feels better made overall. I have them both running really good now but I had to mess around with the Losi quite a bit, but I couldn't resist that 68 Ford body... I just had to get one. They did a GREAT job with all those drag bodies from Losi.
I love watching the drag slash go! What a beautiful place btw. Much different than here in WV. It's tough to find a decent place to run here. Anyway, I may have to quit the bashing for a little while and get me one of these. Nice runs Earl.
I also noticed, surface on road s make a difference, I had couple straight hits on my losi. Other spots was sliding to the right , a few times Maybe I need to warm the tires up more, ??

Thank you Earl, you just made my mind up with your demonstration. I have the DR10 but stock it don't have the speed of the of Losi or Slash. Two things I like about the Slash is the optional speed pinion and the trans brake. The Losi seems to need a lot of adjustments to go straight and they have a lot of crashes in the shut down area. You were ripping it with the Slash really super respectable times and the Losi couldn't make one full pass. I'm getting the Drag Slash ! Thanks for video ! Maybe my DR would a decent 13.5 car.
I bought a S-10 body from JConcepts it said it would fit. The wheel base is right but this truck is extra wide ? I might get away with the extra wide Drag Slash slicks and in front wider lower control arms and longer control rods and steering rods to get the right look, any ideas? Other than being wide it's very aerodynamic. I like that it is differen't and you don't see them all the time. The easiest way to go would be the 12mm extensions about 12?-14mm long if it will pass tech insp. What are you thoughts and I think I would have to run in the Street Eliminator class. Since it won't be stock class any advise about motor, ESC and battery 2S shorty so I can move weight ? Thanks Jim Stark

Great video bro, I sold my Axial Ryft today with plans to get a Drag Slash,I bought a Jconcepts Buick Grand National Body from a local hobby shop that was going out of business and got a deal on 13 Jconcepts and Pro-Line Bodies for $10 a piece and since airbrushing bodies is a passion of mine I'm going to take off that pretty little Red Chevy C10 body and leave it as a shelf queen and throw on the fresh painted Grand National. By the way is this in Cali, this spot looks familiar.

Yes soon as it goes real straight the power is going in the Losi I feel is close other than the slipper clutch sticking on every first hit after cooling off idk why it sticks and shoots left but once it’s warm it works perfect 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Everything about the slash is awesome except the price point the Losi seems to be great quality fir the money both I feel can be amazing if money wasn’t a factor 👍👍and wish the slash had lights for the price point but traxxas did a great rtr build 👍👍💪💪

Hi Earl, have you ever tried the big daddy slicks from pro line? I've had good luck with them, I find they work best running without the foam and on bead lock rims . Maybe you could do a video on using those ? Anyways love your content 😁👍👍👍👍

Losi quality is amazing the slash has always been a great drag rc with a slash conversion love seeing traxxas set up a RTR if the price wasn’t the highest it of all of them it would be a no brainer 👍👍💪💪

I get the Losi 22s or the traxxas drag slash the dr10 is ok but needs a lot of work out the box Losi is pretty much great out the box and traxxas is a little expensive but works good out the box 🔥🔥
The traxxas is hard to steer with the wheels in the air but still does real good just like watermelon 🍉 it feels about the same just more stable with the long wheelie bar & fat rear tires I’d like to swap them over to watermelon 🍉 see how she runs 💪🥱🥴🥴
Great video like always. The traxxas C10 is hitting it good for stock motor system. Thats a new road so you know it good grip. Not trashed yet with dust and oil. If you can do the math, I put ARRMA BIG ROCK tires on the 2wd slash off road today and it ran nice on dirt and grass. I used the copperhead limited edition 3200kv black system 2s Gens Ace 6000 130c REDLINE shorty pack. 32p gearing 22/52 and it did not get hot, only a little warm wow i said. The tires are 131mm tall. Castle makes a great system that would burn out a HOBBYWING 32ookv the way i had it. I also use a glitch buster for smooth run. That might help the Losi ???

Hey Earl - I just received an email from one of my local Hobby shops advertising the end of a decent sale on a Losi 22S roller. I don't need another RC... if I am honest I have too much new stuff already that barely goes touched. But, for well under $200, I won't miss that cash and it might bring me joy in the spring. And that brought me to this video. So basically, a YT search lands me back with you... lol. 👍
For context - the XRT stuff isn't really my speed. Over-priced, plastic parts-bin cash grab before the holidays is all I see when I look at that car. And on top of that, it is a space that every other RC channel is covering, so it feels like we are bombarded by this Tupperware wonder. Having said all of that - I do very much look forward to your next adventure... perhaps you will finish what you started with the 100mph grass objective?! 😉
The losi tires sound like they have a vibration almost like they're out of round. They can still be balanced and out of round if that makes sense. Hope you got it sorted out

That slash is running great I have a Losi and DR10....I guess I need to pick up a Slash.....The only thing I see on that slash is maybe lower the wheelie bar.

Not sure if you noticed on your Red Losi, I’ve got a couple blue ones, and anywhere the light wires run, it’s wearing through the paint😱......and that’s after taping all the usual suspect areas before the first runs🤣 QC these days is just Non-existent. The Traxxas is just a good OLD set-up.....foundation of the no prep drag scene for 5+ years😎
Turn reverse off on the Losi and that helps. Cured the spin out problem. Also cleaning the tires with some simple green between runs will make a HUGE difference for you. Good luck. Nice video.

Hey Earl, what ya think about rc 911 saying that the Losing has a design flaw? Something to do with the, slipper clutch cover being in the way of proper shock compression? Could this be the problem of it pulling to one side? Anyways, I'm certainly curious about what you think ? It's definitely not your fault that, losi is being Losi,lol KEEP ON BASHING, OR SPEEDING! So watching it run and seeing the rear tyres your camber and toe need to be adjusted, I have seen the same wear pattern on other TRAXXAS drag cars and it is almost identical on one LOSI so far It would be great if someone produced a working parachute to deploy so you do not need to jam on the brakes and make the car spin out and veer off the lane, unless you could do something similar to the TRAXXAS TSM the way it uses it when you slow down and brake to keep it on the straight and narrow literally lol. You need to allow for the road camber that slopes from the centre to the outside to push any water towards the gulley and drains so only the dead centre of a road is flat. The TSM kicks in at the end of the run to stop the car veering off in all directions.
Camber has been adjusted as I showed it’s set to 1degree camber in the rear no rear toe setting but I have 0 toe aluminum bearing carrier on order for the Losi
I feel it’s going into reverse even tho I don’t tap the rear brakes idk why it’s silly but I know I can lock out reverse but I’d rather not do that but if it’s the only way I’ll have to it shot backwards so hard I pulled full trigger forward to stop it from hitting the curb 😲now I know how to stop it from slamming a curb like I’ve done before 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Man the drag slash on sale, 2 for $500 is a pretty solid deal. Thinking of getting them, giving one to my dad, then pick up the GPS everyone uses and compete for best 132ft drags 😈

@@earlmoorhead5555 They tear up to easy. If you really wanna get the power down, it starts to pit the output yolks, then the stupid dog bone driveshafts bind up and snap. And in order to replace the output yolks you have to completely tear apart the transmission. It's just a horrible design especially if you compare it to Traxxas.
My Losi doesn't like nice asphalt they jus pave my street losi didn't like went on another road losi ran jus fine I dont mabe it's the tires.. have to take reverse out lol

It’s not in the esc or reciever it has traxxas on board audio system but I run a stock vxl system in watermelon 🍉 it’s completely stock slash 2wd except low center of gravity chassis and shocks replaced wheels tires and proline body mounts custom body front bumper and added the OBA from traxxas for the transmission brake 💯💯
mine losi 22s camaro, striped the spur gear during my first run, FIRST TIME run.....my friend traxxas drag slash still kicking around until now, losi quality nice ? nah(no offense to losi players and fans, just upset)........sigh.... update: i bought a HR metal gear and install it, now my losi 22s camaro can run again, sweet ~ but my friend still laugh at my original striped gear 😂😂

It’s a solid jumper it won’t draw enough to slow it down you can tell if everything gets hot quick 👍👍

Install a MacLan 5 stage launch ESC and remove the slipper or tighten her up... Drag cars are a blast!

Roads are built with a crown in the middle so water runs to the sides. I think it will always pull you to the side.

Put your brake to 15%.. helps from spinning out while braking
Mine lower at the min setting 10% already
If you turn your punch to level 5 and timing up to level 8 on a 20-21t pinion you will be in the 2.6's and 2.7's.
Hit 2.6 on the 18t and no punch change I’m doing small changes and testing to see what really makes the differences but good to know 💯💯

So watching it run and seeing the rear tyres your camber and toe need to be adjusted, I have seen the same wear pattern on other TRAXXAS drag cars and it is almost identical on one LOSI so far
It would be great if someone produced a working parachute to deploy so you do not need to jam on the brakes and make the car spin out and veer off the lane, unless you could do something similar to the TRAXXAS TSM the way it uses it when you slow down and brake to keep it on the straight and narrow literally lol.
You need to allow for the road camber that slopes from the centre to the outside to push any water towards the gulley and drains so only the dead centre of a road is flat.
The TSM kicks in at the end of the run to stop the car veering off in all directions.
Camber has been adjusted as I showed it’s set to 1degree camber in the rear no rear toe setting but I have 0 toe aluminum bearing carrier on order for the Losi
I feel it’s going into reverse even tho I don’t tap the rear brakes idk why it’s silly but I know I can lock out reverse but I’d rather not do that but if it’s the only way I’ll have to it shot backwards so hard I pulled full trigger forward to stop it from hitting the curb 😲now I know how to stop it from slamming a curb like I’ve done before 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

The inner edge and outter edge doesn’t touch the ground as the tire grows at speed the tire patch should be centered 💯

I would try a Losi but for parts support go traxxas both platforms are good Losi quality in parts are better 👍👍

@@earlmoorhead5555 They tear up to easy. If you really wanna get the power down, it starts to pit the output yolks, then the stupid dog bone driveshafts bind up and snap. And in order to replace the output yolks you have to completely tear apart the transmission. It's just a horrible design especially if you compare it to Traxxas.

It’s not in the esc or reciever it has traxxas on board audio system but I run a stock vxl system in watermelon 🍉 it’s completely stock slash 2wd except low center of gravity chassis and shocks replaced wheels tires and proline body mounts custom body front bumper and added the OBA from traxxas for the transmission brake 💯💯

mine losi 22s camaro, striped the spur gear during my first run, FIRST TIME run.....my friend traxxas drag slash still kicking around until now, losi quality nice ? nah(no offense to losi players and fans, just upset)........sigh....
update: i bought a HR metal gear and install it, now my losi 22s camaro can run again, sweet ~ but my friend still laugh at my original striped gear 😂😂
