I honestly think that you are one of the greatest instructors on TH-cam today. Not only do you explain things in great detail, you simplify them. Once I have some money I’m coming to Alabama to train, and get beat up I’m sure. LOL. I bet I’ll learn more in a few weeks than months or a year elsewhere.

for lockdown. I totally agree with you.. just few people can explain lockdown.. but the thing is.. I haven't seen a good competitor using lockdown against the best people except Eddie bravo. even 10th guys don't use lockdown.

This may be a dumb question, but couldn’t you just dive through and grab the opposite let on the inside instead of the grabbing the leg closest to you on the outside like you did?

You are right. There are multiple approaches to this.

The problem for me is to get the underhook. I like to cath the ancel and stretch the leg out

Thanks for the video man, big fan! I have a question about your grip around the waist when you're coming up, tho. When I trained with Boogey and Geo, they always had us clasp both our hands around the waist when coming up on the dog fight. In this video you just had one hand clashed around the waits, while you used the other to post with. To the best of your knowledge, is that is a personal preference thing, or is there a "right" way to do it?

      what's up, man. that's a great question.
i don't really believe in a right or wrong way to do things for the most part. there are times when holding on to that Boa grip is important and there are times when you wanna be more mobile and fluid.
a good player can feel which is appropriate and use the correct tool to handle the task most efficiently.
      hope that helps.
