No comfort zones in the Artic 😂 but you a doing a damn good producing your channel!
One of the greatest things about your channel is you go out and get your own food. Time and time again you get your own food. I think that's awesome ! Beautiful camera footage can't say enough about that.
Those caribou hides could have kept you warm in the cold temps, put under and/or over your sleeping bags. Caribou hide hair is hollow & keep the caribou warm in the freezing winter weather. Next time. Gorgeous country!! Thanks for sharing with us! 🥰
Love the scenery and ocean around Australia, but this is a great change of scenery also. This is a beautiful planet God has given it, and each place has it's own beauty.

Eagles do take young lamb's, as for those snails, we call them Winkle's over hear in the UK, as a kid I used to forage for them and boil them up in seawater, then get them out with a pin. Back in the 60s, it looks absolutely amazing there there, and the sea fishing absolutely amazing, giant cod especially. Good luck you two, I can't wait for each and everyone of your film's. Bird of prey, lamb, no contest. I'd need plenty of wine to wash down seaweed and snail. Dedicated running for the correct fishing gear, but if I came back and Fran was gone I'd be freaking out. Fran could have her own show "Survival Chef".
My first thought on every episode is NO FAIR! I WANT! Then you're both so nice and likable that I'm left happy for you by the end. You two are seriously living a dream life. If Norway gets in your blood, Canada needs to go on your list. Cheers!
Beautiful little trout. I was always in to lake fishing (mainly Yellow Perch, Northern Pike and Walleye) but we now live near some creeks and small rivers with lots of Brook Trout - new favourite fish to catch! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Wow amazing scenery, I loved Norway when I was there. We were camping and rock falls were our biggest worries in the Fiords. The footage you got was just epic. FWIW 11:35 - I lost it. Did the soup make you sick because of the salt? The periwinkles are great eating, I wondered about the seaweed prep as it is so salty that it needs a soak before eating in fresh water or dried out first then added to fresh water. Yes, birds, not just eagles do take small sheep. i live in Alaska. While it is very possible to live well off what the land offers in the arctic, methinks the tropics are easier pickings. Remember, hypothermia takes more lives in the spring and fall than in winter. Be blessed out there, and stay warm.
Much different terrain than what you two are used to!! Exciting!! Eagles are HUGE! I believe they could pick a two year old up what's stopping it from taking a lamb??

Large birds of prey have no trouble catching and carrying a lamb, there is plenty of photographic and video evidence. Fran that’s the most clothing I’ve ever seen you wear ;-) Enjoy the new adventure guys.
I spent far too many long hours, wading the icy cold Kiewa River in the Victorian high country to the point that I no longer have warm circulation on the surface of both legs.
here in north America we use the fish eggs or worms with a small hook and a bobber 2 feet from the hook cast up stream and let the bait float down in front of the fish, you can use flies as well with the bobber we call this float fishing
Maybe next time you feel to pull north, you guys come visit me up here in Alaska. I grew up in Germany and visited Norway often but Alaska is probably 2 - 3 steps up in arctic wilderness. Great video as always guys!

For that kind of weather, a feather down jacket would be perfect-light weight but keeps you super warm, and no sweating. They even make hooded ones.
A lot of those Char, excellent eating, we in the Rockies in America have them, fished for them for decades Artic Char blazing red and yellow
