    I suffer from Panic attacks and Anxiety and I literally did this meditation this morning and I feel less racing anxious thoughts and more lighter, but I noticed it was hard to keep my arms together and my breathing started from 5 counts to 4, but it worked out well!

      +BrettLarkinYoga It's very similar if not identical to a class I took a couple months ago, I believe it was called kundalini yoga...although at the time I hadn't been aware that you can choose how many seconds you inhale, exhale, and hold for. Doing that made the experience much more comfortable.

    Lovely meditation, I don't feel much different. I've been experiencing very high levels of fear/anxiety lately, I feel like my nerves are frazzled, I have this sensation in my arms....like a tingling burning feeling ....it's a bit unpleasant. Do you know what this might be causing this symptom? (Just to be clear I had it before I did the meditation) Sending love and thank you x

    I was feeling nervous this morning before an online classroom based course I am attending. I thought, I wonder if Brett will have some yoga or a mediation for me...and of course you did! I feel much more settled thanks and ready to do something new! Can I just ask, as you breath out do you relax the pelvic floor area again and then relift on the in breath or do you keep the pelvic floor lifted throughout the mediation?

    Hi I enjoyed this meditation, can I also ask what you mean by can be triggering ? I was to release nervous energy from my body in relation to panic

    • @BrettLarkinYoga
      @BrettLarkinYoga  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Triggering- causing you to feel a type of emotion, have an adverse reaction to it. Hope that helps!!

    Are the hands placed on the chest or hovering in front, during the meditation? Thank you!! ♥️

    Hello Brett! I hope you can help me here.. You said that when we inhale and hold the breath we should activate the mula bandha and then while we exhale we still keep the mula bandha activated and then when we exhale out completely we pull the belly to our spine. Does that mean that we keep the mula bandha activated throughout the entire meditation? Should we ever release it? If we should keep it activated at all times is it because this meditation specifically asks us to do it or should we generally keep it activated when we do the breath work? I googled it and there are so many different and opposing things written about it so I am kinda confused. I am interested in your take on it. Thank you!

    'Pulling the navel' step is after exhaling right? Before pulling navel, I feel like taking short breath? Is it ok to take a short breath before the 5 count breath?

    • @BrettLarkinYoga
      @BrettLarkinYoga  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ideally The breath goes like this:
      1) inhale for 5
      2) engage mulah bandha hold for 5
      3) maintain mulah bandha exhale for 5
      4) navel up and in (uddiyana bandha) hold for 5
      Release bandhas and repeat.If the 5 count is too much, try doing a three count and gradually work your way up to 5 or more. Just find what is a comfortable count for you and make each segment the same length. I hope this helps answer your question! Thank you for practicing with me!!

      +Lena Eb I really appreciate her lengthy explanation. I am 56 and have never done yoga. Her lesson eliminated much of the unease about understanding fully so as not to injure myself or keep up, and how Im suppose to breath. I think we just made a human yin yang. :^)
