It's in our instincts to basically just do whatever we want without being hindered by things such as laws, morals, or societal rules, but our humanity is what keeps us apart from and above such urges. And when you take the humanity out of a human, you're left with an animal.. An animal that knows how to use guns, and build things.. I'd honestly rather deal with a psychopath, than a feral human.. A psychopath has no moral compass, but they still have the intellectual capacity to understand societal rules and laws, which makes them a lesser of two evils in this situation.
