Maybe because I am not the only one who is not so sure that he really is "death". How he acts reminds me more of a reaper.. I sure hope they get to that in the games following this one.
But Death and the Reaper are same thing. The reaper is just a physical embodiment of the concept of death. Which would be all the more reason for his presence in the games and as a perpetuator of action and consequences.
@@Fraukie_H And because, having rewatched some of the audio, he calls Death Inevitable, in the beginning of the game. Then, at the end, he says seeing him again is also inevitable.
My hypothesis is that he is indeed Death (or some type of reaper, whatever) as is heavily hinted at. But, the thing is that he is more than that. He collects stories, people's stories. One might say he..... curates them. So in my mind the "Curator" is a very fitting name. Death in this lore is a curator of stories. He certainly seems interested in them. In Little Hope he indicates that he seems quite interested in people, I could imagine him meeting someone as they are about to pass on and just having a chat with them because he's fascinated and wants to collect their story. He can also be seen in the background of the games occasionally, just watching the story unfold.
