That’s awesome! The whole DIY thing is hard work but the sense of accomplishment and just the awesome feeling of knowing you did it yourself makes the experience 100x better! Plus it’s a great way to save money and spend some quality time with your significant other! Can’t wait to see what else you guys do to your beautiful home!!
You two did a great job! You were also very smart to make the pathway in a curved manner. Squared off looks very basic, like the squared off sidewalks that come with new homes. I like that you added solar lighting. I would off placed less lights and not place the lights exactly across from each other......staggering them makes them looks more professional. But that is only my opinion. Overall, I am impressed with the work you both did! 👏🙌
I’m just curious how is your walkway holding up after a year. You did a fair job, but not having something on the edges to keep the pavers in place... make me wonder if the pavers didn’t start to move already because of pressure. But I admire the hard work and that you kept it real with no mumbo jumbos
Hey! I actually thought about doing a 1 year update which is a great idea!! I may upload something at some point when it starts warming up. It has actually held up great so far, and I would be honest with you if it hadn’t! This was a first time project for me. I have no settling or up and down movement happening.. I should probably use some more of the sand mix and brush it in between the cracks as some of that has washed away
No! They make some edging pieces that are supposed to hold everything together right.. we did not use them. It’s been around 9 months and everything still looks great!
I got lucky and asked some guy about a super old abandoned house that collapsed on his property and had a ton of bricks from the chimney still in great condition. Probably saved me $500.
How much was the tile saw? What a joke this project was. People planning paver projects: do not watch this video. Their faulty techniques can spread like the plague.
Hello. Please your advice: If I hire a company to install brick pavers or do the concrete (estimated to be 1236 square feet), which material is better and more expensive?
It’s a great video, but honestly i think the husband literally did everything!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Sasser for your hard work and dedication. Making your project a massive success!

Good Job .Very simple and economic. Thank you.
It's funny how, in the beginning, she says we are doing this project, and you never see her again 😂 classic honey-do bait and switch 🤦♂️
🤣🤣 is that what this is called
Someone has to do the camera work!😂
😂😂
Good work!
Good job you guys!!
Thanks for this video. Did you put anything on edges of the pavers or just that last bag of special sand ?
No! They make some edging pieces that are supposed to hold everything together right.. we did not use them. It’s been around 9 months and everything still looks great!
Great job.

So you didn't end up using any gravel at all?
I have a question, do you think you need to grind (pickling, polishing) the bricks?
I did not! I only cut the edge pieces with a tile saw with a masonry blade.
@@sasserhouse Ok :)
Thank you
You are welcome! Good luck with your project
@3:22 basket weave (90 degree)

Very good but you forgot putting plastic under sand
Elite
The wife should have given 100% of the credit to her husband because for sure he did all the actual work 😂😂😂😂
This pattern is called Basket Weave

Lost interest at "we dont know what we're doing" good luck every one else.
This is exactly how to not do a project!! DYI doesnt mean done right. Thats why it was done so cheap. Not right, cheap/
Might not be pro.. but it’s been over a year and a half now and looks just like the day it was set! Not everyone can afford to hire a pro!
