It show the (delete for everyone) option , but it only delete MSG from senders phone not from receivers phone...
As you mentioned you can delete your one month old or one year but few days older msg it cannot be deleted from this option it shows only delete option not deleted from everyone after following your all exact steps

1. Very 1st you have to close internet and then change time and date to match you msg sent time.
2. Then open what's app 1st and then open internet.
3. Then delete it for every one.
It's shows in my phone that msg is deleted but msg is intact in other phone as it is...so I think this trick does not work.

I tried it at first I got a relief that the msg got deleted and then I got a confusion if if got deleted from the other phone or not so I took a firm to check it. Are you sure you succeeded? Did you check the recipient's phone? It did show you deleted this message on my side, but the messages were still there on the recipient's phone
@@yijiegong9168 in my case i deleted the msg around 12 hours old msg.
And also check with other members of group. They confirmed that msg was deleted.
Try follow steps which i mentioned in my previous comment.
