Agree. If today social media shuts down, 95% of these new riders will stop. For a lot of us who have been riding much before social media came in, travelling was about travelling and enjoying and not about posting content on social media. But majority in today travel to create content and not to enjoy travelling by itself.
Best advice I have heard in a long time “You should work to change your life for better, instead of waiting your motorcycle trips to do it for you” Thanks
I’ve ridden bikes since I was ten years old I’m 67 now and still ride. It’s hard to explain but I’m at peace while riding. I don’t need to share it with the world.
I love to travel with motorcycle. And i love to take photo and video along the journey and destination. And the bad thing,i'm hardly to post in the social media.and make some of my friend didnt trust when i tell them about the place i visited, until i show to the photo in my phone gallery, hahaha😂. But someday,i will post it in the social media.to be as a memory of mine.
Thank you, Pavkiv, for your wisdom and effort in making these videos. My only long distance motorcycle road trip was in 2021 from Phoenix, Arizona to southern Minnesota to see my sister who turned 75 that year. I’ve been riding motorcycles since 1978 and have always wanted to go on a trip like this. Finally, just after I purchased my 2020 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited motorcycle, my wife suggested I go on this lifelong dream. I was prepared for everything except the wind, which proved to be very difficult to ride in day after day. Sometimes, the sheer force from 50 MPH wind gusts was enough to scare me. Others than this, the trip was excellent.
I'm old, but new to this. First adventure planned in September. France to Scotland. No Gopro, just our phones for nav and photos. Excited yet apprehensive....
ive been an instructor since 1999, i started instructing in the forces then when I left I trained from starters to racing on tracks and enduro, I watch you here and yeah still learn no matter what as different tyres different bikes etc etc I'm not saying I agree with all bite always nice to listen and learn....
This is strait forward and to the point. This. The final comments of it not changing his life's routine is key, but live live live! Thank you for this sir
For me, what ED MARCH did with his absolutely enjoyable unique way of motorcycle travelling proves the esence of Motorcycle Travelling itself: enjoy riding and don't give a S*&^t about what people say or comment. As you said this social media transforms and creates human behavior on a different reality. At the end, the personal experience will be remembered or NOT, the one who travels just for likes will remember nothig at the end of the day. It's like in nowadays concerts where 99% of the audience is filming with the mobile phone and not enjoying the actual concert. Great topic as usual, Greetings from beautiful Romania !
Talking about social medias, people who were born in the 70's or 80's have a big advantage: they grew up before the "digital era". So they (or most of them) can tell exactly where the real world stops and where the fake universe begins. Kids today live in very messed up social environment with all the consequences.
Very wise comments Pavlin, I first started long distance travelling long before internet was rolled out nevermind social media. I still don’t have any social media accounts except TH-cam, I don’t know if that is a good thing or not, but I am not influenced by anyone and never will. Like I tell everyone I talk to just be yourself,
The benefit of riders posting on social media, provide many of us an insight to places that most are not able to get to. I get emense pleasure from such, yet also learn from their riding skills and situations that they sometimes get into. There are number of people that do produce greatdocumentories and tutorials ( Pavlo is one of the channels that watch with prequency) whom provide good advice, tips and share their knowledge to many od us newbies. Yes at 60 yrs, I still consider myself as a newbie. lots to learn, see and experience. Ride for the pleasure it gives you, not the purpose. It's not all about money or becomming "famous".
Back to the future!!!! In 1999 you were riding a bike from 2009....interesting. Do I get a free sticker being the first to spot the deliberate mistake? My reason for travel is to learn about other people, the cultures and customs, I am addicted to new horizons. I went to 13 schools when my father moved, 2 technical colleges to do my engineering, traveled whenever I had a little money, I have traveled in 70+ countries and am now living in my 6th country. Good video mate.
I have been riding motorcycles since 1988, and I started traveling around the world, like a normal tourist in 1999, traveling with a motorcycle in 2009. I hope that it is clear now.
Hey Pavel, i have a question, can you set up a tent in a public forest in Bulgaria, we are 2 motorcycles coming from Romania and would like to go camping in the Veliko Tarnovo area. Any advise for us please?
I have agreed with you totally since I acquired my first motorcycle 2017 to commute to work but I have come to love it untill of lately I found my self upgrading for better motorcycle which I have been moving to different places here in Kenya 🇰🇪 which I prefer more than moving with vehicle. I really love your lessons I have learned a lot from you .🙏🙏🙏
Before you set off keave everything as you would like to find it when you return. It's like making your bed and tidying your room in the morning. Agree completely with your analysis. Ride safe 👍
make sure your mental health is spot on.from experience i can tell youi if its not the journey could possibly be hell and difficult to manage.i survived and learnt a big lesson.
Thank you. Wise advise from an experienced rider. I ride because I like to travel submerged in the local environment. Only motorcycles and bicycles and horses do this. Bicycles require and provide superb physical condition and this reward makes cycles hard to beat. Horses carry you and are lovely but you have to work your life to keep them well. Motorcycles are a lovely machine and provide greater range but require great concentration. No place for mistakes here.
I totally agree, I was once just traveling with my motorcycles six months ago, I have discovered that I can combine making money while traveling on motorcycle. Anything is possible! We all just have to see it in different perspective. I wish you well Pavlin. Thank you for this video.
That is so true with the first one and second, . There are many many times where I rarely take pictures or video. I'm doing it for myself. I'm a curious person and I like to find out about people and places. What I've learned about riding motorcycles for 37 years. It doesn't matter where you go, in what country, what tribe. We are all basically the same. One thing I'm very sure you have some across before. Let me give you an example. When I rode around Burma. So many people ok mostly Americans, we're saying don't go to Shan State. Now Shan State has had a civil war going on since 1948. What I discovered was a group of very lovely people and spending a night in a bar with a group of rebel soldiers drinking, eating, smoking/ I could not speak Burmese they could not speak English. But, we ended up having a good time. the time I have traveled to places that some might consider dangerous. From my experience if you know a few phrases in the local language like; Where can I get a drink?, Where can I buy cigarettes? Where can I find petrol?. And do everything with a smile. It's amazing at how welcoming people can be. That night was fun because we ended up teaching each other bad words in our respective language.
I would love to have tome to travel on my motorcycle. Unfortunately i cornered myself into a life that leaves me no time for that. I do draw a lots of purpose and happines from the life that i have chosen, but, maybe one day i will be able to do at least one week vacation traveling on my motorcycle. Thank you for video!
I am in the same situation but as I approach the age my father died I'm acutely aware that "one day" may not come. So I am putting a definite plan in place to make it happen. Failing my first A license test at the age of 58 is just a speed bump on my travels!
Agree. And actually I would be too lazy to arrive in a hotel or even a tent after a full day's ride and start editing videos. Nevertheless I like to see motorcyclist experiencing adventures in other territories than I have travelled to and so I am "cheating" by subscribing to channels like yours and being entertained while having a glass of beer. Thanks for the video.

I don`t think that 95 % of the riders do it because of social media. I think, that the riders who show up on social media are a minority of total riders. I think most riders simply prefer the agility of a bike to the heaviness of a car.
