Why not be polite and invite the person in, instead of acting like you have something to hide? Its paid for by the public, assuming like the older guy said "unless you have business" allowing you access then anything sensitive would not be in view.

Who IS in-the-right when it comes to there being an open gate/ a form of open access? Last week an auditor filmed while in a police car park. However, there was no fences and no walls. Not even a hedge! The car park was edged by pavements. All he did was step off the pavement and, voila! He was in their car park. So were you in-the-right? I ask for I need to understand their attitude.
I must remember that when I’m in France, to complain that the locals are communicating in their native tongue, when I know they can speak English… if you’ve spoken to someone all your life in welsh, that’s your first language, then it doesn’t automatically spring into your head to use your second language!!
It wasn’t the fact that she spoke to you in Welsh, it was the fact that she switched to Welsh from English having established in her mind that you were English speaking. Very, very unprofessional.
But her colleagues are 1st language Welsh speakers. You can't dictate what we speak anymore
Their conduct is disgraceful. If it were the creator speaking in another language to his mate if he had one there in front of them they'd have something to say about it. Rude arrogant woman and the man is a manager! People like this only get less respect from the public. The only one who was respectful is the uniform
Don't you think that someone in authority or representing an organisation whose property you've entered, even if there's no barrier or signage, has the right to require you leave the area? Its like they become the barrier or sign, which is the organisation's prerogative.
I don't know why auditors push this point.
He was always going to go, he just went on his own timetable. They probably spent more time arguing with him then it would have taken to leave him to his own devices. But of course with police,it's always a pissing contest.
The broken gate was not the auditors problem --- ,it was theirs.
@@ianhill4585All points spot on.
In the updated NPCC/Home Office/College of policing, guidance on public photography it is made clear that simple straight forward explanations go a long way to dispelling the suspicions of both parties. Officers/staff must clearly identify and say why they require the person to leave and what powers they intend to exercise. HOWEVER it can all be avoided by a sign at all entrances saying NO PUBLIC ACCESS.

Because when dealing with a member of public that may not speak Welsh and you were previously speaking to them in English it is rude. They could be mocking the dude being unprofessional and saying anything. They also refused to declare what rank they were
