Excellent video. I love seeing the "storm precipitation" you got when you added the reducing agent to your pregnant chloroauric chloride. In this video, I believe that you said you're using potassium metabisulfite and that you rarely use sodium metabisulfite anymore. If I may ask, what advantage do you observe in using the potassium rather than the sodium metabisulfite? I'm sitting on my back deck right now, by the way, stating at a 1000 ml beaker that has 150 grams of tops that are nearly gone. The sulfuric acid is think and dark purple. I'm just waiting on it to cool for long enough to be able to pour it off. This is such a hazardous process, but we'll worth it, especially compared to the fumes that come with pyrolization. It's amazing how many people toss the tops of the bga chips when they see the gold on the bottom part, never even realizing that 90% of the gold is hidden inside of the black top. This was one of the happy finds when I first began recovering. Like you, I do still process the bottoms. It's a tiny amount of gold, but it's still gold and very, very easy to recover. There's no way I'm giving it to the garbage collector.
Anybody reading these comments there is deadly consequences if doing this method goes wrong please do not attempt unless full safety is in place you know how sulfuric reacts when heated to boils and or other organics present not to mention the violent reaction with water full cautions and full experience working with this stuff must be obtained if not you risk life changing accidents including DEATH....

You can do these with a small rock grinder. You can make one or buy one. You grind the chips up and process from there. Only takes a minute or so to grind them.
I get about 30% less when I work with a blue bowl, but now I am currently working on a new rinse aid tool that will return 95 % of the gold to get this method out of use. Of course, I always keep all the black sand from the chips so that I do not waste anithing!.
Awesome buddy you know I've done this with 7 pounds got 21 grams per pound thoe I'm getting 3-4 grams average but this method is too dangerous for me to continue to do in my back yard setting I've done this like 4 times and made amazing results every time....

Hvala na lepim komentarima druze :) I kod mene je isto bilo u pocetku kada sa pocinjao sa ovim,dosta zlata je otislo niz slivnik,ali polako sam ulazio u stos i ucio na greskama,cak i sada se poneka podvuce ali se da ispraviti.Zato sam i poceo sa ovim kanalom,da podelim sa drugima ono sto znam ,isto kao sto su drugi to delili samnom.Naravno jos uvek ucim dosta toga,niko ne moze sve da zna.I ubuduce vas ocekujue jos dosta video snimaka sa razlicitim procedurama.Pozdrav druze !!!
I've been doing some experiments here and I've seen that the fiber part is not worth much not in your opinion do you think it's worth the fiber part of the bga chip
In my experience, they give far less gold than caps, and when I say far less, I mean the tenth part like caps. I still process them because I do not like to do anything, but I just put them in Ap and I work them when I have nothing else to do.Low grade gold :)

There's a LOT you're missing, but hoping you've figured that out in the six years since you asked. The danger with this method is NOT to the population. It's to you. You're dealing with jot sulfuric acid, which, if splashed onto your shirt sleeve, will eat to the bone before you can get it neutralized. It's also a very nasty acid to use near water, as getting even a a drop of water into the hot acid can cause an explosion of the acid which will cover and dissolve your face.
Tim's X GF .. almost.. small traces are lost to oxidisation but very minimal.. its size will decrease once melted dramatically as it becomes more dense but will weight almost exactly the same

Nico Locasto 1 litar sulfaric acid will desolve 300 gram ic chips. I dont have that video mate. You will need a bowl of at least 50 liters for a bath of 15 kilograms of chips.
You can not make Smb, you have to buy it. Instead, you can use potassium metabisulfite or coperas. Smb-Sodium metabisulfite is an additive used in the food industry.Ratio smb in solition is 1 gram Smb for 1 gram gold which you expect.
I have a question regarding the needed H2SO4 amount per kg of chips. Is there an estimated amount of acid I need? For example I had 2,5kg small DDR Ram Chip BGAs and I used 3,5 liters of H2SO4. Unfortunately after more than 3 hours cooking, everything became hard and sticky. I coundn't wash it out properly anymore. And even by adding slowing H2O to neutrolize the acid and to get it wet again, it didn't work. I created a lot of mass and at the end I was so upset that I gave it up.... Do you have a tip how much BGA chips I should use in a batch in order to make the wash easier?

Ne,za kuvanje cipova se koristi sumporna kiselina 96%. Ne mozes kuvati cipove u Hcl,moze u Azotnoj ali to je veoma zeznuto zbog isparavanja.Ovo drudo si sve otprilike pogodio,samo ne moras ti tacno da dodajes kolicine kiselina kao ja u videu,moras se ophoditi prema materijalu i prema kolicini zlata.
ive tried 3 times to use a stainless steel pot to heat ic chips and the sulfuric acid eats through it every time , i dont understand how it works for you
@old school honour and respect. i dont know the thickness , just normal pots that you would use in the kitchen . im assuming it must have been a low grade stainless steel because ive started using a stainless steel kegg and that works with no prob

I think 250grm of tops is the best way to go in all my researching.
