    He so nice and sweet. He has no British uptightness or cynicism. Usually they have a no nonsense approach and give very short answers, but not him. He's always sweet!

    omg if david would've said those kind words to me, I would've been doing two of these things: Blushing like crazy or flying into his lap, and the rest would've been history haha ;) jk I probably would've died right there

    FYI, there are comments here from six years ago by a guy named Walter Peretiatko. It's clear his own narcissism gets in the way of his actually understanding Bowie....maybe Walter has evolved as Bowie did in these past years!

    You do get to know people by what they say and when and how they say it. Bowie is no different.

      Claudia Risley 1987, during the Glass Spider World Tour. I did the interview when he came to Italy. 😊

      @@kayrush ok, I thought so. I can usually tell by his hairstyles what time period...:-)

    It's not that he has made a statement but the nature or slant of his statement tells me a lot. You must remember that this was the 80s and many musicians were on the band wagon of various social causes. It was the thing to do if you were commercially inclined -- which he was at this point.

  • @Elfinacht

    Hahaha: "I´m a good dancer." No, David, you´re not - and we love you for that ;-)

    If you follow somebodies career -- watch their interviews, see them live, buy their music, read lyrics, etc. -- you do get a sense of who they are. And, yes, he is a self-centered lunatic... and very charismatic and charming as far as lunatics go.

  • @BlindEyeJones
    @BlindEyeJones 15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I said enough important books. It's not the quantity of books but the quality of books that matters. He is one of the most self centred people I know -- most artists are.

    David is amazing and always will be. This interviewer is really bad, she won't shut up, won't let him answer the questions and keeps interrupting his comments. What is wrong with her.

    • @tessieification

      +chrissy andrusiak Kay Rush (the interviewer), first of all, is extremely smart and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, and you can see throughout this interview that Bowie is smitten. She's not "really bad"--she's interested and having a conversation with a man who is her intellectual equal. This is a great interview. Perhaps if you opened your mind and didn't expect interviews to be as boring and contrived and dumb as they are today you'd learn a thing or two from these two.

    • @atlmswbko4394
      @atlmswbko4394 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      She's no intellectual equal, she can't be.... agree with everything else.

  • @BlindEyeJones
    @BlindEyeJones 15 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Rarely do we like the totality of a person. There is always something, even parts our selves, that we don't care for. Bowie has made some great music & art but he is still a self centred lunatic -- as are most artists. It comes with the job.

  • @BlindEyeJones
    @BlindEyeJones 15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    She's enamored of him, he's a self centered lunatic who doesn't read enough important books -- books that answer the harsh question of poverty -- and whole thing is a flattering up of Bowie during his worse musical period .
