Warlords of Draenor turned 10 years old only a few weeks ago. For those who played it when it was current like myself, you will remember the unparalleled beauty of its zones, mystical and ethereal soundtrack and best quest experience ever brought by an expansion at launch. This could have been the GREATEST expansion, if it had been finished. To this day we mourn the loss of content like Farahlon, the Ogre Continent and Island, along with many questlines. This is a tribute to the spectacle that it was, and the masterpiece it could have been!
@@TANGL3_BURR Yes. They always were. There were a few NPCs before the Shadowlands expansion that mentioned it. ShadowLands is a place your soul goes after you die in Warcraft universe. Except - originally it only worked like that for the races of Azeroth. The souls of demons and Nathrezim (and Illidan) were originally sent to the Twisting Nether, where they can regenerate and come back. For Orcs and Draenei it was unknown. The Shadowlands expansion has changed how everything works, making every soul come to the ShadowLands which I think is a shame.
Any WoW player's see this on Battlenet before ..? Says "been a player since Cataclysm" but i bought the game in November 2004 launch . That so weird on Blizzard part
Velen never "came back". This Velen that sacrificed himself here is an alternative timeline version of him, just as all other Draenor characters are. Our timeline's Velen never died.
@@joezar33 it's an alternate timeline, Ner'zhul could die, Gul'dan could die, Velen, Durotan, Blackhand... any of them could have died in alternate draenor and it would not retcon anything from our lore because its an alternate timeline and it had 0 impact on azeroth other than what Garrosh changed up which led to the Legions invasion of azeroth in the Legion expansion

Had great potential, a shame so much was cut. Karabor and Shattrath could've been so epic if fully fleshed out!
I'm still waiting to see Yrel again.
main universe velen is still alive and quiet well.
And successfully doing nothing since legion sadly, except play space checkers on his spaceship to pass time

@@magius9866 Interesting. I thought all souls went to the twisting nether and ShadowLands changed that, but now I know.

WoD had the best cinematics of any expansion. The zones were amazing
It'll be interesting to see if Yrel comes back in one of these upcoming expansions as a villain, given what we know happened after we left Draenor.

This could have been so epic but the cheesy cheap dialogue ruined it. And i never understood how velen came back.
