You said in one video that an E was already a high note for you. Can I ask, what do you personally feel happening as you go from a 'low' high note like that, up to Gs, As and Bs? Ps. You know how people always talk of 'open throat'..? I currently think I can get top notes out more easily if I feel the space at the back of the throat a bit *smaller* than in middle voice, but at the same time dropping the jaw more? Does that make any sense to you? I've not really heard people say that 🤔
Hi Liv! Thanks for writing to me. Very good observation, well after E I have to treat my voice differently. I can’t just ”open throat” anymore. If I just would opening my throat and dropping my jaw, the result would be an unhealthy spread the voice without any focus or formants in the tone. Instead of opening the throat I would try to find the placement of the tone, in my face, nose, sinuses or head. Every tone has its own place where it starts to vibrate and resonant effortlessly. I think a wil go a video about this subject in the future 😊
But it depends on what you mean with dropping the jaw.. dropping the jaw can be a very good way to release tensions from the mouth, that would result to a better placement for the tone. 😌
@mariacasemyr Hi thanks Maria 😊 Interesting. Glad you agree though, that as you get higher it's not useful to keep thinking of more and more throat opening.
@mariacasemyr yes, I drop it open to the maximum, but without forcing it open, at the highest pitches.

Great, you have such nice control over your voice over the full mezzo range 👏 I'm still working on better high notes, but my voice is a bit lower than yours and I think this aria won't be for me 😢 But never mind, there are plenty of beautiful things with no Bs!

good instrument, thanks for sharing!! You do need to fix the diction on the r, you keep saying lindorro sarrà vincerrò etc that’s an issue which will come up in all words and you can fix easily. Single r is one tap not trill xx
in general the diction should be less Germanic and more elegant instead
but I say that from a good place :) I liked the video
