You know I like that book, even been accused of sleeping with it under my pillow 😁😂, but I was surprised that it was the number 1 book in the collection. I’m sure the value will drop next week but this week it is pretty high. Thanks for an awesome comment.

This was fun to see. I dont have enough slabs to make the go collect route worth looking at but did consider using CovrPrice to have a more accurate version of this.

Golden and early silver age war books are so cool. The writers were veterans of WW2 themselves and wrote very good stories. The writing is very much under appreciated.

Yeah, I did state the wrong first appearance for the New Mutants 98. Nice catch. I was completely surprised by the value of that Conan book. It was never the most valuable in the collection before. As always great comment.

You are correct. There is a fair amount of prep time to make a video like this. But it is an enjoyable time as well. Not often do I go through the collection like this to see values. Well to be honest, almost never. The Conan’s are definitely prized in this collection. Thanks for the outstanding comment. 👊

Making a video on the values of books was a trend at the time and I was asked to make it. Besides I can make whatever videos I want. Your opinion means absolutely zero to me. Hi I notice you indicating getting that Marvel Super Heroes Secret War 8 pressed and re-graded, at CGC. I received a $75 refund from a 9.6 newsstand of that, since the seller sent it w/a crack in the side, and there is a dot part of the case, but just below the left foot, yet the surface is smooth, as there is a shadow cast from this dot, so it is part of the case surface... is that a decent refund? Is it a pain these days to get something regraded? Would you recommend I have a local shop do the pressing? -thanks, I am a new subscriber... I honestly cant stand Swagglehaus, or Regie Collects, or ComicT0m or even some of those other hype hucksters that dominate the hype and first appearance and top ten list attention that has been given too much credit, it is fun, but too much it ruined things like Doctor Strange II, yo, but your channel so far seems okay, lol!!
Thanks for the compliment! That $75 refund was outstanding. It only costs around $20 to have a book reslabbed at CGC. The turnaround time is pretty quick on a reslabb. You can have CGC res lab a book without regrading it. If you are having a booked regraded then I would have it pressed as well. I’ve always pressed my own books unless it was already graded. Then I have had CGC do the pressing. They have done well for me in the past. $20 per book per press can get expensive. Thanks for subbing up I appreciate you.

A signed 9.6 CTB is worth a bit more than a 0.5 ASM 1. I love the ASM 1 but it is definitely low grade. Both books are personal grails.
The prices on this video didn't age very well, especially the modern books.
When making that video I also thought the prices were going to drop. Comics had hit an all time high. Fun little snapshot in history.
