@@Oversoul225 yeah pretty cool and then i was able to meet Ross in person! he drove to my house. he's in one of the episodes i uploaded. :) great guy! awesome build!
This kit car is about 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of most kit cars. I have spent under $9000 for the kit, with the options I have chosen, and another $1000 on a donor vehicle. I will probably have another $2000 worth of incidental costs, yet to be determined. Their website has a good cost estimator: dfkitcar.com/budget.php
Yes, this car has inner and outer tie rods for steering. It has them on the front wheels, and on the rear wheels. Most vehicles don't have these on the rear, but this car does. It would be easy to make this a 4 wheel steering vehicle, like a rock crawler.
are you going to document the build process? i'm starting one of these in June and would love to see what you do. i'll be getting the turbo though.
Yes, I am documenting my build process... more videos to come.
Ross Lawrence awesome thx. I subscribed. Will keep an eye out.
Fun to see this comment 2 years later, and on the suggestions list immediately to the right is you driving it! I'm also looking to start this June!
