Loved your video! You amazuig work on your cross stitch. Hang in there with the work you are doing with the arena and your horses. I admire you determinatuon and dream.
I'm glad to hear you are not caving to people pressuring you to take out a mortgage. I did it the way you did - no debt over my head. That makes for very restful nights sleep. LOVE your projects!!
Admire your gumption Holly. Upping sticks to another country and all your ambitions just amaze me. I have recently found your you tube and currently watching all your episodes. Help please - I have downloaded Stormy after seeing yours. The first dmc colour is 32 and shows as white on the chart. However 32 is purple. There are almost 3000 stitches and I don't know what colour to use. Jeannette in the UK.
Thanks Holly. I've heard of kreinik and having found it online I don't want to use it either but have plenty of B5200 in my stash. I have also got Delightful Waltz now after seeing yours. Once again thanks for your help and I can't wait for your next you tube. Your future looks wonderful and I will follow your adventures each month. Jeannette
Thanks for another amazing video. Your WIPs are beautiful. I am from Perth Western Australia and drink tea year round. I find drinking it in the heat is very refreshing. Looking forward to your next flosstube.
Thanks Holly, glad it’s not that temperature here in the UK! Lovely stitching as usual and hope the arena gets moving for you. Every time you show your dahlia piece I smile as here in Blighty we say day..lee..ar as opposed to dar..lee..ar. I have to stop and think what the subject is!! Have a good safe month. X
Hey Holly!! Good to see you again! Just love watching your videos. You are making great progress on all your stitching. You are doing it the right way with no mortgage. We paid ours off way early and now we will do improvements once the cash is saved for that project. You could use room darkening curtain liners on tension rods for your windows. They are easy to put up and take down. I recently purchased The Sweet Life pattern and I deciding on 18ct or 20ct.
Hi Julie, thank you for your kind comment. You are so right re mortgage. Everything is so expensive right now. It will be worth it, and great to see it come together in parts. So excited to get the arena sorted and start work on the barn 😀
Love all your projects and I especially enjoy watching other expats and hearing the accent 😂 I feel your pain with the heat, 7 years on and I still can’t go outside during the Texas summer lol some blinds or shades at the window wi definitely help reduce the heat and give your ac a little rest but it’s almost autumn 🎉 keep chipping away and it will all come together before you know it!
Hi hun. Love seeing all yr wips. I think yr doing so well with yr business without a mortgage. You'll get there hun. The tortoise 🐢 and the hare. Anyway, lovely to catch up. Take care. Xx
Good to see you Holly and your progress😄. Perhaps your two Cardinals are getting ready to have a family if he's feeding her? It's a good idea to save the money up and pay as you build. Mortgages are a millstone around your neck. Glad you eventually got your fabric, personally think two years is a bit excessive. If the lady couldn't cope two years ago she wont be able to now. She shouldn't take orders until she can forfill the orders she's got! Sorry that's just my personal opinion. Have a good month, fingers crossed we'll see your barn progress. Take care and stay cool if poss. 🤗🇬🇧
Thank you lovely. You are so right about the cardinals. I'm going to have my friend make a bird box for me so the can have somewhere to have their babies. I agree with you with regards to the mortgage. It is so hard with a huge amount to pay out. Could be once of the reasons companies go bust in the first year. Hey ho. I will try my best, and will definitely put in progress videos 🙂xx
Fabulous video as always. Love the books I would love to have them myself but I am only able to work on one cross stitch at a time I can't work with two does my head in lol. I crochet as well to break it up. I agree with you save the money up then pay for what you need to be done borrowing I see as a rip off as you know Holly in the UK you pay over the top for everything. Although those buy it now and pay no interest well that is more like it. Would be great to see more pictures of how things are added on the horse land. The birds feeding out your front window that is so cute. I could never go without my cup of tea so I know where you are coming from I have to say when I'm out and about I think about my cup of tea and a scone to go with it. lol.
Hi Daisyrea. Out of all that I just saw scone! Mmmmm. I really REALLY miss scones 😀. But mortgage etc you are right. I would like to make the business as financially viable as possible, so that means financing it without loans. I've heard about the weather in UK. The fact that weather here is so predictable is something I absolutely love! You can always make plans for bbq's and pool parties because you just know what the weather will be like. Thank you for commenting xx
PBS. I know it may feel tacky but just put some alumnifoil on a card board and prop it into the window to block the sun out. Or those auto mobile window shade things that suction on for babies back seat to block out sun could maybe work ?? Or even the big window blocker for the dash board in the car. All portable and could work for temp solutions I guess that's what your looking for?
Glad to see you again. Great progress stitching all my favorites of yours. Do you work with the horse racing community ? Get some good rest and take care of yourself sounds like you work at it too hard sometimes. Take care of those birds. Maybe you should get a bird stitch in your plans to represent those cuties. Take care and tea on!😉
Hi, I don't but that's not to say when I have my gallops and Rehabilitation side of the business up and running that I won't have them come through the door. Trainer's want fit sound horses in stables so I am sure I will end up with some who need bringing back to fitness etc
Hiya, I'm a bit late to watch video and not sure if anyone has mentiioned this before - there are window tints you can place on with just water and can be cut to size that will take down the UVA and UVB rays and keep the temperature down in the room for you. There are some on Amazon but there are specialist companies as well. These tints work really well, it doesn't stop all the heat but it brings the temperature down. Only downside is, the inside will be slightly darker and not so bright. It is November now so it is probably cold now, but just a thought for next year xx
@hollythecrossstitchaddict83 thermal curtains are great 👍 I wasn't sure you could hang any in your windows due to space. Pleased you have them I stalled, they'll help a little now too on keeping heat in ☺️
Loved your video! You amazuig work on your cross stitch. Hang in there with the work you are doing with the arena and your horses. I admire you determinatuon and dream.
Thank you Deborah. Sweet of you to say xx
I'm glad to hear you are not caving to people pressuring you to take out a mortgage. I did it the way you did - no debt over my head. That makes for very restful nights sleep. LOVE your projects!!
Thankyou! yes it is much slower, but it will be better in the long run 🙂 xx

Hi I'm out at mo. Let me look when I get home. Usually its 032 though if the colour seems off. Give me a few hours I'll get back to you 😀
Right the first number is 032 which is Kreneik. I hate using Kreneik so I've substituted for B5200 x
Thanks Holly. I've heard of kreinik and having found it online I don't want to use it either but have plenty of B5200 in my stash. I have also got Delightful Waltz now after seeing yours. @@jeannetteclapperton3208 always thanks Jeanette that's really lovely of you to say. Delightful Waltz is stunning! You'll love stitching that xx
Beading is super easy. If you can stitch you can bead. I have never heard of that monkey saying 😂
What slowly slowt catchy monkey? Lol it's a very British saying I think 🤣 xx
Thanks for another amazing video. Your WIPs are beautiful. I am from Perth Western Australia and drink tea year round. I find drinking it in the heat is very refreshing. Looking forward to your next flosstube.

Absolutely I agree. Thank you for the suggestion 🙂 xx
Lovely progress with the projects you've been working on. Please send some sunshine to the UK as its not summer weather here.
