I've never been a fan or very good of firebrand but being I had geared for celestial willbender I figured I would give it one last go. I seem to be doing better with this build than any I've tried in the past. I feel like things are dying a little slower than some of my other characters would kill but I'm not dying at all so that's a win. What consumables would you use with this?
But where you get the direct damage (power) from the healing the extra boon duration... Celestial is insane right now but you can always go trailblazer 😄
The thing is, you don't need to put stats into burn duration with celestial. There's no discernable difference between 80% duration and 100%. Additionally, if you're running quickness mantra you'll have 25 stacks of might which will net you more than enough condi damage. The burn damage in celestial builds is more of an additional bonus not something you should focus on.
im playing this with concentration and strength sigil. If you go with run of the flame legion you get nice power damage, overall dps should be around same, so its preference. cool guide.

I might go for celestial then, I use viper + trailblazer and lately I struggle to heal and kill champs or even champs (!!!!) but I will give a go to your build and follow your tips. I use scepter/axe + torch but I also saw sword + torch and like you axe + shield on second set of weapons, what is best?
The axe is better more condition and CC there is no logic in going sword with firebrand I would love to use torch but it is so punishing in hard fights
@@maksybuckley8151 I have used his original FB build for awhile now and it is awesome. I just swap shield and torch out when needed. General running around I am on torch or with groups, harder content I use shield. Just put same sigils on both. Works great.
Why do you have "Glacial Heart" under Virtues when you don't use a hammer? How can this be "activated"? Is it with "Chill and damage foes that you DISABLE" from any skill? Thx for your detailed video.
So this one is better then the trailblazer one? I've been playing that one for some time now and now busy charging those quartz crystals to change that build to this one
this one is better because it offers better boons and healing with a little bit of power but overall trailblazer is a little bit extra DPS so you can stick with trailblazer but I would choose cele of course
Just started guardian hit lvl 80 3hours geared now trailblazer scepter+torch why burn guardian is so good 🤨 stays alive maybe too easy and makes awsome damage. There are few immune fire mobs but they go still down super fast no complains so far (playtime 5000h and first guardian here.)
Ok in normal PvE encounter you solo champions or fight a lot of NPC or be in receiving end of a lot of damage burn guard is tanky and have high DPS with boon and good heal on firebrand you still have power damage to kill through and to be honest is it really a thing I hear about it but vaguely remember that I fought some of fire immune mobs 🤔
I dont like guardian Becose its too superior everyway it has no challenge game get booring fast if you have god mode on 😉 even whitout knowing all guardian mecanics its just too easy. I know that condi ranger is fun been playing it about 1000hours, i like those paper professions ele mesmer thief you need learn something to be good whit em 🤣
Ok I honestly never thought of that 😂 But the bright side if we talking about something other than champion you will kill them with power damage and bleeding especially if you run sigil of earth will take time I guess Just like the NPC that take less power damage they can take like 4 times the normal time to die from power builds
Yes if you have HoT it is about 13+ gold now for a piece You can also get 1 piece from wvw each week for free end of bronze chest or play verdant brink and buy bladed armor

Nice that there is another build that can solo stuff. Nothing competes with Renegade though, as Lord Hizen has proven this. He solo'd that mega meta fire/ice dragon event. All. By. Himself. Go check out his vid.
My builds are not dedicated for solo they supposed to be best overall for the class so me and Hizen have different ideas in mind while making this he make the strongest build possible even if there is downsides like his ranger build it is full melee meaning there is no way that will be good running after a tag in HoT events you will be to slow to kill npc 😅

I always use peppermint cake for some good sustain and quality tunning crystal from wvw or any other condi utility if you don't play wvw
I feel like I'm wasting stats and getting different results from your armor. my fire duration is 100% without going full celestial, rune of Balthazar?

It triggers chill on disable like pull and knock back 😃
