    This TJ is the last year of Jeep, 1941 - 2006. Cool video, I dig the interior, lighter color, mine is cool but much darker. Nothing like a TJ, imo the best Jeep of them all with apologies to the MB.

    Boa .... really well cared for! I like these Jeep TJ models very much and the 4.0 machines are very robust! it looks like new ... i like the original instead of tinkering.

      My '05 TJ Rocky Mtn has a modest 2.5" lift with 32"KO2's. I will never go beyond this lift. It's the perfect set up for me and is great on and off road. If you have any skill and common sense, you can go almost anywhere in a TJ. My off roading is mostly beach and dune wheelin with some trails in the fall and winter, but I have to travel to get to them. The aftermarket has fooled most everyone into thinking you need this and that to do anything great or worth while with any 4x4 vehicle.

    • @kelkev85
      @kelkev85 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JeepTJWheelin just about all my 4wding is on the beach also. I have actually been turned off to modifying my 4x4 because everyone I see in my area has every possible modification on their jeeps yet they never bother to actually learn about 4wding skills or safe recovery techniques. They line up on the beach and talk about their ridiculous modifications like its a car show instead of enjoying nature. I know they look at my little stock jeep and think its "lame" but somehow I feel like the smart one.

    • @JeepTJWheelin
      @JeepTJWheelin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kelkev85 Agree, I avoid these people with their rolling aftermarket catalog heeps, especially the 4 dr limos. I can't look at them, they are just fugly and goofy looking!
      Beach and dune wheelin' is definitely my favorite type of off roading. And yet most don't appreciate it. That's quality family time, not dopey jeep meet time. I park as far away from them as possible, which is why Ocracoke Island, NC is the best, lots of elbow room.
      I much prefer stock to "very" near stock TJ's, these are my favorite Jeeps by far. When Jeeps are unnecessarily overbuilt, they ride like shit NO matter what aftermarket parts you throw at it.
      I take my wife and sons to the Outer Banks and that's where the TJ is most at home.

    • @diversecitygarage1600
      @diversecitygarage1600  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thom Elloyan Good luck with your search. If your budget allows try to get the six cylinder. The 4.0 is known to be a bulletproof motor. They are decent vehicles if maintained and easy to work on when something breaks. They also hold their value well.

      I’ve had my tJ rubicon for 16 years. 05 model. 206,600 miles on it. I won’t trade or sell. Love it. My wife ask me if I wanted a new Jeep, told her no way. Whatever breaks on this one I’ll fix. The only part I am concerned about are the computers. You can’t fix those. You have to send them off and hope you get a good one back. Jeep tJ,s are the best. Love my rubicon.

      Sometimes you are fortunate to find a TJ that's in great condition with a 4.0l I6 that's an automatic and it's just too good to pass up. I just bought an auto '05 TJ Rocky Mtn edition and it's the best vehicle I've owned.

      It's a shame anyone buys a Jeep after '06. That's the real travesty!
      Unless you have a great muscle car like a '68 Chevy Camaro SS, manuals are so friggin disappointing going through gears with zerO performance. What's the point??!! And if you ever off road, you would know an automatic is a thousands times better. Don't get me wrong, I love the 4.0 I6 but no one is ever going to mistake it for a performance engine.
