    Great ideas! Some I was already including but after I watched the video I literally went around my house finding things to add to my planner. The most brilliant idea was using plastic packaging! I cut to size the package from some stickers, put the stickers on the plastic then tipped it in my planner. So pretty. I love the feeling of the packaging.

    as a frugal gal myself, this is why i created a shop with printables! so you can buy once for a few dollars and then use over and over! i love printables because you can find so much beautiful art and get to use it again and again!

      I have printed on tissue paper (you use when wrapping gifts). So inexpensive and easy. I just tape it to regular copy paper and send it through.

    • @Daksina
      @Daksina  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kat hie Ah so clever!! I’ll have to try that. All the tissue paper I have at the moment has foiling on it so I don’t think it would print nicely, but I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for regular tissue paper. Thanks for sharing!!

    You can use a sheet of acetate to color on with your water based markers, and then use a wet paint brush to pick up the color and apply it paper just like watercolors. You can also use this method to mix multiple markers together to get unique colors. If you have red, blue and yellow then you have the ability to mix a huge amount of shades. Any water soluble colored pencils, pastels, crayons, or other products can also be used like this by coloring it on plastic and picking up the product with a paint brush. You might have to try a plastic surface that isn't so smooth for these, so just experiment and try to find plastic that has some texture to it like paper has. I've heard of people using yogurt lids and all sorts of other "trash," but you can also buy palette that's meant to be used in this way if you want.
    For paintbrushes, I would recommend Simply Simmons synthetic watercolor brushes as a good set to start out with if you have $10-$15 to spend, but there are also many cheaper options from Amazon that have good reviews.
    A tip: make sure not to leave your brushes sitting in the water cup, because that will damage the hair making it misshapen and weaken the glue holding the brush together. You'll notice on your brushes that there are crimps where the handle is attatched the metal piece with the hair on it, and right above that is where those 2 pieces are glued together. You want to try and avoid getting water any higher than the crimps and just try to keep it dry. Your brush won't be ruined right away if you don't do this (if you leave it in a water cup overnight then the bristles will absolutely be bent. That can be fixed, but you have to buy a product be able to do it.

    This is one of the things I love the most about the Stalogy books is that no two books will look alike when we’re finished with them. We make them our own adding pieces of not only our lives but our personalities to them. I’ve cut and tipped in tags from clothes I love, Christmas cards, invitations, stickers or washi from happy mail and wrapping paper too. I used to use my daughter’s Crayola watercolors too until they broke but they work fine if you don’t mind chalky. 💛☺️

    • @Daksina

    Love this!! I'm always shocked imagining how much money planner people spend on stickers alone. I definitely support people investing in things that bring them joy, but imagine it can also be fairly compulsive for some.

    • @Daksina
      @Daksina  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree! I go through phases of not buying any stickers, and then I'll buy loads! I am definitely trying to be more diligent though😊❤️

    Hi. Daksina, I absolutely love watching your videos. You are so creative, & you have such good ideas for the different things to put in a planner. I'm just not creative at all. lol. And your color combinations...wow...love, love, love it. I also love how you tip things into your planner. I've tried tipping things into my planner but, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but, I just can't get mine to look anything like yours. Could you maybe do more videos like this one please? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

    Daksina this video is just great. Anyone who watches your videos knows you explain your tips along the way but here the tips are altogether, and one can refer to it often. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I have an inkjet printer. The ink is black of course. I hear the printers that use color ink are inexpensive but the ink is expensive I hear. Is this true? Anyway I really enjoyed this and all your videos. BLESSINGS- Pat
