I'm so proud of the Kep1er girls. I watched gp999 and gosh they've all been through sm. I loved WA DA DA. Apparently, now I'm paraphrasing, from a comment I saw on Jre's channel, WA DA DA means something along the lines of running towards something. I know people found the title weird but this would most probably make things clearer with the other lyrics like vroom vroom like a supersonic/ Wa DA DA/ run.

the chorale and the classical music we all hear at the background is in minor key. And because of the many sharp and flats happening in the background, people might find it scary, sad, unsettling, or even melodically messing up with the whole song. to be honest, i think SM did that just to flex that even if there were many sharps and flats in the background, the girls can still sing on tune LMAO.
Kidding aside, SM is really experimental for doing such song. Also, by looking at how they structure aespa and NCT’s songs, you can really see that SM doesn’t follow the sound or trend of the popular music. instead, they try to experiment outside the music the current generation is accustomed to listening.
That’s why when baekhyun’s candy dropped i had to double check it again if this is really an sm produced song because it is so refreshing to hear them making a song that is so in with the loop.. something that’s not diversely structured/hard to digest in one listening (by the general public) like nct’s songs.

This rotating concept has actually been Lee Soo Man's idea for probably the long time, like since Super Junior debuted. They literally started as a rotation group called Super Junior 05, but fans at the time didn't like the concept and stopped after just a year if I'm not wrong. But then NCT happened, and I was like "So it has come back" 😂 and thankfully it worked out well.
