Newton North High School, 1973-2010: A walkthrough

Before the old NNHS closed in June 2010, I videotaped a walkthrough from Lowell Ave to Main Street, including area outside of library steps/cafeteria and the Little Theater. Thanks so much for this. I was supposed to go there for the final farewell in July, but got waylaid by a show I was hired to do. My only regret is that you didn't get Lasker Auditorium. I spent many hours there before it was Lasker Auditorium! You did get the small theater where I did several shows, though. Farewell NNHS...

The new building looks like a Walmart. I was shocked when I saw it. I was there 2000-2004. At that time was top 10 best public high schools in the country.

I graduated from the "old" NNHS (Barry House) and you have brought back fond memories from 1980. Especially spending time on the steps leading up to the library. Where are Jeannette May and Paula from my AP bio class?

Im going there this septemeber. Finally a 9th grader, except im going into the new one they built. So fucking excicted.

Tens of thousands went to the old school. It had its faults, but it had many charms as well.
