I’m still using all the products I bought in Japan from 2016. Some of them are high end like Kosè medicated sekkisei & Pola. I didn’t thought that I won’t finish all of them by 2020 😂 I fill my suitcase with skincare & fooooooood💁🏻♀️

Such a timely video, I was literally looking and doing the ol' Google (unsuccessfully haha) to find the expiry date on some of my Japanese skincare! I wonder if you'd consider doing a video on 'skipcare'? I've got way too many serums and am hoping to minimize steps once I've finished them all. As always love your videos, keep them coming :)
i just found my biore sunscreen that was locked in a closet since early 2020. it's unsealed but i dont recall using it at all. i probably bought it in late 2019 or early 2020. im too scared to use it on my face but i can't throw it away either 😭 edit: nevermind, I've checked it out and it was manufactured in 2018 which means i have to let it go 😔
Really informative video! Seems like Skin Aqua (under Rohto) doesn't have a way of checking manufacturing/expiry dates. So I sent in a buyer's research survey response, requesting that they provide this for customers lol. But who knows how responsive a massive company like that is :P
@@tanjinaazad5034 Not that I know of. Like quite a number skincare products, there are no expiry dates, only "use within 12 months after opening" guidelines, for example.
I read that sunscreens they last three years, although the expiry date is always at the back. I did notice that none of my Japanese products don't have it written on it, I always wondered why as it seems odd. The way I use to go is if it's a 2019 sunscreen version, I assumed it would last until 2022 as many Japanese sunscreens seem to have their year edition
Do you have any videos on if japan or korea test the products on animals? Or if there are asian beauty brands that are cruelty free? Could you possibly do a future video on this topic?
This is super helpful! I live in U.S. and bought some Japanese sunscreen from a online retailer based in HK. I always wondered if the product is new or how many months it's been sitting on the shelf.. I've just tried the app, and the product I ordered this summer is expired if 3 year is considered as shelf life.. ugh.. If I lived in Japan, it'd be okay, but I don't think I can use sunscreens ordered from another country... Thanks so helpful!
Actually what I have noticed with the j products is that they don't have a protective film over the opening so does it really make any difference in the self life is you unscrew the lid or not? Because you can't be sure that no one has unscrewed the lid before you have bought it! Also a big issue since it can be totally unhygienic
There are some korean expiry dates on my products that indicate 2 years after opening? Is this normal? The product date on the bottom says 2023 and was purchased this year?
Ummm disagree american products are horrible at putting expiration date on their products.Some wouldn't even tell me the expiration when I email them the batch code. All sunscreen should have expiration date since it's consider a drug. I notice that Korean skincare that are market for the US have no expiration date on them only a batch code.
@@Jess-737 there are no expiration date on alot of american products unless is a sunscreen. The jar symbol with the number in it is not an expiration date. There are plenty of brands in which you can't search up the expiration date with the batch code. I tried. I even email customer service and they refuse to respond.

I do use a sharpie to write the date of when I opened the product on the bottom
