I love it when people are this transparent about what they spend etc. Garage looks A1, Deffo added value to the property, even for non petrol heads there's loads of things you could use that space for. 👍👍

It's £20k but you've probably added at least £20k to the value of your house so money well spent!

To be honest you’re adding value to your property and the next owner may turn it into an office/gym etc.
Good video. Cheap labour and materials where you are. The digger and breaker £80. Mega that.
What, jcb to break out concrete£80😳 and a grab lorry where I am in Sidcup is around £300 each ! Would have deffo been a lot more , looks good though👍🏻

Hi Adam loving the garage mate ,just a few things I think you should do ,1st get 2 very study pull up bollards fitted just inside your roller shutter and another one outside, bit of a faff but security is a must .2nd get a very decent 4k cctv system fitted cameras inside outside and also one outside that covers the garage door area 3rdly an alarm. People know whats in your garage, so it makes sense to go beyond what you would normally need .keep up the great work mate 👍.

Garage is looking mint fella👍🏻I’m in the trade and a good rule of thumb to work to is, how much you think it’s going to cost and double it. So using that you were about on budget🤣🤣

@@juicybear7696 I think so too. It takes up a massive amount of his garden and it's single skin so will be freezing. Obviously it's what he wants but there may not be many people who see it as a positive.

Nice breakdown. I built a cabin/bar during covid with hot tub, log burner, fully insulated, wifi, plumbing, toilet/shower etc, learned a lot of skills.
Building the main house now, think I'm gonna concentrate on the integrale bedroom first. I planned for electric roller door as I have patio windows at the back of it facing the back garden but now thinking about bi-folding main entrance door instead.
The integrale room, is joined to the main living room, the wall between has a log burner in the middle with two single patio doors either side so you can look at the car from the road, the back garden or the living room haha!!!
Bargain price, especially as you paid a lot of contractors to do the work for you. I built a 30sqm double garage myself last year from Timber and that cost me 13k all in. Cheaper up north it seems :-)
I'm glad you broke it all down so people can see what things cost because as a builder when you price a job up like yours people just don't believe the cost of materials I think you've done well so far spending what you have 👍💵💴💶💷💸
All the mad cars you have had on here, but this build is by far my favorite. You will have to take your shoes off when u enter in a couple years 🤣🤣 but fair play, and cheers for the videos mate

It soon adds up. My 6m x 6m double blockwork with electric roller shutter etc and quality roof was bang on £8k. Did it over lockdown. Worth every single penny.

Adam I live down south in Oxfordshire just outside Oxford, and your garage would have been around 40k/ 45k
Looks awesome matey, would probs be worth getting some cctv installed aswell.
Also some retractable bollards might be an idea for some extra security/deterrent.
Bollards is a great idea probs cost abit BUT not nearly as much as that cossie to the heart its priceless ❤
You got a lot of that done cheap mate, I’ve been in the game 34 years and that seems very reasonable to me
It surprised me how much it all cost, but it does look amazing, in the long run it will be well worth it😊!!.
good price i reckon, having been there myself, theres quite a bit of odds + sods + they soon mount up, insulation is a fortune at min.
Nice. Would be interesting to know how much it would cost now, with prices of everything shooting up and also the cost to build down in Surrey would be £££ more

Belter of a garage! Your Bricky was cheap there. That was a good bloody rate compared to site rates in Edinburgh. Can’t wait to see it finished. Maybe one day my nova can have nice digs 😂

It’s surprising how it all adds up but it’s a proper job that and it will stand the test of time , would love to have a garage with lift 🤓

My garage is 9m long single garage door but opens to a double garage at the back- could extend it another 8-10m if I wanted but love it as it is- looks great mate

How and earth did you get them French Doors and roller doors so cheap. For a similar size roller door the best I can get quoted is £1700 and French doors £1100.

@@paulg5811 I've got a skip at work I'm taking a van full of stuff every week and the stuff in the house is still increasing. Mind blowing how it accumulates. My dad is definitely a horder he lives in half of one room in a 3 bed house the rest of the house in not accessible. And his garden is full of dismantled washing machines.
Having done my own recent upgrade to an already existing double garage, I did laugh at your optimism at the beginning and thought, "naaa, will be double that mate" LOL. I think I will be about right by the time you have finished :). Looking forward to the updates :).

Get a diesel burner if needed for warmth 👍🏻.

Getting rid of the concrete floor was a bit steep they get a free tip so it would have been diesel and the labour for them good wages

Looks not bad at all. But single brick. Be fcuking cold in winter. A double skin would of made it warmer cause u could insulate it. Did u look into using bigger blocks to build it may of saved a bit of money. Over all it looks the part. We'll done that man.
