This is honestly the best performer on Britain's Got Talent!
First comes on looking dorky and awkward and the judges immediatly judge him thinking it will be a terrible act.
His poem is so freaking clever and hilarious. It actually made me laugh out loud. And the way it ends is really sweet and cute.

The first reactions show you the inherent power of conditioned perceptions and related conditioned reflexes. I love how Eugene blew all of that away, particularly Pierce who is seriously suffering from lots of odd conditionings. Eugene, a simple but brilliant soul. A lot wiser about life than many of us.

This was actually a bold and fascinating artistic performance to see how popular audiences treat those whom are kind and considerate yet malformed in some way. Eugene is a character created to test the bullying potential in people we've made very rich and famous such as Simon Cowell. By being honest in his performance he knows his words will garner respect. A historic time unrecognised today.

That is his stage persona, not his real mannerisms or dress sense. They get a lot of people turning up that aren't serious competitors and they also appear on the stage like that. It's his job to be judgemental...especially when he's faced with people acting like idiots for attention on the stage with no talent on a daily basis (Eugene not included, he's a pro)

Piers is a prick. Simon is usually honest, he might press it early sometimes, but thats usually cause the act takes a bit to get started properly. Piers just hit it as soon as he heard what the act was. Crucial difference, one is a judge, the other a self rightous prick.
I agree with no name, the shots that Simon fires aren't completely uncalled for. Piers being on this show is uncalled for.

I have to watch this from time to time, I enjoy Eugene's sense of humour and honestly, I could easily see him being a good friend. People far too often write other people off based on first impressions when in fact if we got to know the rejected people, they are some of the nicest and most loyal people you will ever meet.

This is Adam Gitlin - although you may know him as Eugene the Librarian, the nerdy poet who created quite a stir on this year’s Britain’s Got Talent show on ITV.
Mr Gitlin, a dentist (the teeth in the picture are fake) who lives in Plymouth, went on the program to help establish himself as a stand-up comic.
His alter-ego, an amusing, self-deprecating poet, received a standing ovation, was described by judge Simon Cowell as “pretty remarkable” and has since attracted more than 2.1 million viewers on TH-cam.
Although Mr Gitlin, 37, did not make the final 40, he is more determined than ever to do comedy poetry and is now planning his comeback in the next series of the hit show.
He tells People: “I’m definitely going to have another go next year. I have had some great feedback from the show.
“My routine has been the 15th most viewed audition on TH-cam.”
He says: “I was always worried the judges wouldn’t realize I was in character. I am Eugene the whole time I am on stage. I don’t think it would have been credible if I had taken time to put on the glasses and put in the fake teeth.”
The father-of-two was watching Britain’s Got Talent with his daughters last year when he decided to enter. “I thought: ‘I could do better than that.’
“I would really like to do more stand-up but it is such a hard game to get in to.”
Mr Gitlin works at the Maple Croft Dental Practice in East Looe, Cornwall. He attends Exeter Synagogue.

I think it is safe to say that he did indeed go out there that night on that stage and was a white knight on the stallion of poetry.
