I'm not joking, when I saw the concept art of Woody back with Buzz and the gang, I died laughing. This movie will be what Shrek Forever After was to Shrek the Third where it'll do away with all of Toy Story 4's development and pretend it never existed. Bet you everything I have to my name that they'll do what Marvel did in Thor Love and Thunder. Woody will only be with Bo Peep for 15-20 minutes and then ditch her for Buzz, Jessie etc for the rest of the movie.
No one thinks that is not the case. The problem is that the second movie is just a worse version of the first. All the potential that was missed... if they do the same thing in the third movie, is one more movie that misses his potential.
This is exactly why they keep making unnecessary sequels though. People talk about them and their love for one movie makes them continue to see new ones, even though Incredibles currently has a 50/50 track record
Tbh, you were the first person I was thinking about after I saw the concept art for TS5, the other D23 announcements, and Inside Out 2 😅. Glad your back!

I would pay to see this guy have a debate with Schfillas about Toy story 4. Also there are a few things I do hope to see in TS5: Jessie pull string phrases. Utility belt Buzz returning to stop the army of Buzz's Woody staying with his friends And, good writing.

There can’t be another Woody for them to do an MCU style return because one of the original creators of Toy Story stated that Woody is the only Woody doll in the entire world
Like they care about that lmao. It will be the same woody because that’s the woody people want to see, not because of some obscure information one of the original creators *might* have said
@@grathem9789they didn’t even care to keep Buzz or Bo Peep consistent in 4. I promise you they don’t care about some offhand remark that I’m not even sure exists. They won’t because people care about this specific Woody and would be upset if he was replaced
@@DerrickWilson-fm7vc yeah but changing to another Woody doll is something completely extreme. Also if you pay attention to the concept art you will see that Woody or "SecOnD WoOdY" If you want to believe has no Badge and it's still on Jessie, basically confirming that this is our Woody.
Of course they can, but that’s not the point. Pointing to one of literally 3 good Pixar sequels as evidence of their potential is exactly why they keep doing them. People are more likely to see a sequel even if it’s more likely to be bad
OMG 29:24 I’m in a youtube video! Thank you so much game magic for putting me in the video. And also, I think inside out 2 that was pretty fine. The new things that they add in the movie are really cool but the movie doesn’t pay a lot of attention to the new characters and some feel like family guy jokes and Riley’s friend have no character to them at all. The friend are like stereotypes of friends and you can tell that Riley isn’t the same person anymore for not being based on Pete doctor daughter and with Riley being over, exaggerated by as a teenager making her way less human. But all the new things that they add to the world are really great and the ending was a 9/10 and anxiety was a perfect character. Also I may think that the first inside out movie was better because of nostalgic reasons but the fan videos of inside out 2 may be one of the worst videos I every seen. Wait, what’s the Commons about? oh yeah thanking you. For your award here is a cookie 🍪.

14:30 Just in case you didn’t know and thought this could be a possibility, small as it is, this scenario is impossible. It was confirmed by I think Joe Ranft himself years ago that Woody is a one of a kind prototype. SuperCarlinBros made a video on it
20:57 middle school actually. And everyone memed on it like crazy 29:20 Mom! I’m famous! Here’s my pitch for Dream Productions; We know in Inside Out 1 that each emotion takes Dream Duty at night (Joy: I’ll take Dream Duty tonight. And Fear was doing it during the nightmare sequence) idk why this wasn’t done in Inside Out 2 but whatever. So, the series will go like this. Nine episodes. In each episode, a quick sequence of daytime at headquarters with one emotion struggling with an issue related to their role in Riley’s head then we’ll cut to nighttime when that emotion is on dream duty. The dream will deal with what they were struggling with during the day and help them cope with it and maybe a lesson about a mental health issue. It would also be nice to see different emotions react to the dreams. Disgust criticizing all the plot points, Envy going Gaga for some of the characters and visuals, Ennui’s stoic exterior being broken by the wacky dream scenarios, Anxiety worrying if they are trying to send her signals for what Riley’s struggling with. It has potential and would be beautiful if not just hilarious to see how the emotions react.

I'm REALLY GLAD to hear that you LOVE Inside Out 2 as much as I do! Personally, I think it's ON PAR with Toy Story 2 as one of Pixar's GREATEST SEQUELS, and the more I watch it, the more I both LOVE IT and manage to find the smallest things in it to pick apart and analyze. Here's hoping we eventually get to hear ALL of your opinions on it at some point! Also, DEFINITELY watch Lilo & Stitch at some point, because it's EASILY one of Disney's BEST FILMS, particularly for its BEAUTIFUL MESSAGES about family (that Toy Story 5 could and SHOULD learn from). If you could make a video reaction commentary on Lilo & Stitch at some point........ Then MAYBE I'll consider giving Owl House a shot too. I haven't seen it, but the length of your love letter video has me somewhat interested...
I love how you say ‘case’ and you show a suitcase on screen. There’s so much of those small things and nods in these vids. Don’t think we don’t notice them!
Another thing that kind of confuses me with the screens angle in Toy Story 5 is that based on Bonnie's age, this movie would probably be taking place in the early 2010s (if not 2000s) if Toy Story 3 is anything to go by. Of course tablets and the internet and all that existed in the early 2010s but it didn't have quite the strangle-hold it does today. It's just going to feel weird to watch knowing that this isn't something occuring in modern day.
Toy Story 4 showed at least one modern phone in the RV-hijacking sequence, though at least that movie arguably takes place in 2008-2009, after the first iPhone debuted in 2007.
Just when the world needed him... He's back! Love your analysis on your thoughts of the upcoming Toy Story 5. Hopefully things will work out for the best this time around...hopefully. And hey, you're a Toy Story historian and whatnot, so I'm looking forward to you analysing this treasure with thought, love and care.
So something I wanna mention is not only was Bo Beep missing from the concept art, but Mr and Mrs Potato Head were also absent which begs the question: What is Toy Story 5 going to do with those 2? They clearly didn’t want to replace Don Rickles in the last one, so are they just going to have him on the background and say 1 or 2 reused lines, or are he and Mrs. Potato Head going to be straight gone?
Aw, finally! Where have you been?! You absolute hero ❤ Edit: I won’t be watching Inside Out 2, but it’s good that it wasn’t crap. I just don’t have any confidence or interest in seeing more Pixar stuff or animated Disney stuff for… at least ten years or so. Maybe ever. What does it matter if Disney even does good work and makes good IP/movies anymore if Disney has proven that they’ll just make me hate all of it later???
@@SonicPlayer2004I’m really excited to see more. The Incredibles 2 breakdown really was fantastic. I think the evil buzz army could be about smartphone integration into toys, taken to the extreme where you need a dedicated app thats always connected and will probably be shut down in 3 years to get anything out of it, and a malfunction causes the toys to only act how the phone tells it to and that becomes a problem

Take as much time as you need on the Toy Story 3 video, but just wondering, will it be either… - A chronological breakdown of the the entire movie’s events in the same style as How TS4 Destroyed Everything or… - Split into sections for the story structure, character analyses, and final act in the same style as A Love Letter to The Owl House?
Technology has gotten better and worst since 10 years ago. I hope toy story 5 will have a mature take on toys vs tech. I have a feeling that jessie, buzz and woody will try to break bonnie's ipad which will cause it to malfunction and awaken the army of buzz lightyears
Theory on how Toy Story 5 will play out. This is entirely my opinion loosely based on the things we know. Christmas Break has started during Bonnie’s school year, and to celebrate, Bonnie’s mom and dad take her back to the carnival from TS4. Bonnie’s toys obviously come with and as they explore, they reunite with Woody and Bo (IDK why they’d be out maybe Forky’s knife GF wandered off or smth). Woody and the gang spend so much time reconnecting, they miss the carnival ride and have nowhere to go. Woody decides to stay with his friends/family for the time being before the carnival comes back, probably to Bo’s annoyance, Weeble Wobble, Ducky and Bunny, and Duke Kaboom are left to scout the area, and tell them if the carnival comes back using the computer in the antique store and Bonnie’s room. Since it’s Christmas Break, Christmas is obviously right around the corner, and a new Buzz Lightyear toy is announced. Everyone at Bonnie’s school wants one, except Bonnie as she is already happy with the Buzz she already has (and it was a gift from Andy but whatever). The Buzzes advertised are very cool and more modern than the OG Buzz, and they have mini hang gliders so they can actually fly. Most importantly, they have some sort of Bluetooth connecting feature, that allows kids to interact with others that have Buzz Lightyear toys. Christmas happens and Bonnie gets a tablet for it. She loves the tablet and is spending a lot of time with it, neglecting her toys. Maybe there could be a situation where Bonnie takes a different toy to school every day, but with the tablet, she takes that instead of a toy. None of the toys are happy about this, especially Woody and Bo. Woody is reminded of how Andy treated him and the others in TS3, and Bo is having second thoughts about being owned by a child, since she’s been a lost toy so long. Meanwhile, every other kids has one of the new Buzzes, and loves them, but the Buzzes have learned how to communicate with each other and plan to do something (look I can’t have every answer). One of the Buzzes gains access to the antique store and finds out there is a “rouge” Buzz somewhere. The TS4 group (WW, D&B, DK) try to communicate that the Buzz army is looking for them but can’t get the message out. Bonnie’s group is left to plan how to resist the new mysterious force that wants their Buzz is and why they want him (maybe Buzz can deduce that the army is the new line of Buzz toys that were advertised earlier #letbuzzbesmartagain) I don’t exactly know what would happen during the rest of the movie since we don’t have a lot of details on that. But I do believe that Buzz might be captured at some point, and that there will be news of Buzz toys going missing, maybe on Bonnie’s tablet, and having that lead to an investigation that Bonnie’s family might be involved in. Also there could be a divide between the toys about the technology where some toys like Woody, Rex, and Slinky think they’re no big deal, and Mr. Potato Head, Dolly, and Jessie thinking it’ll eclipse them all. Characters that remain as neutral parties could be Bo as she just doesn’t care as long as she returns to the carnival (but she’s warmed up to being loved by a kid, just secretly), Forky, who probably doesn’t know what’s happening, and a possible new toy that could be introduced IDK. All the toys would eventually come around to them because: A) They’ve been using a computer to communicate with the TS4 gang B) The tablet allowed them to know that Buzz is taken, and possibly where he is. (I’m also fucking convinced there is going to be a Sox reference and you cannot make me change my mind) At the end, they rescue Buzz and defeat the stupid evil Buzz army, and just as it happens, or a bit after it happens, the carnival comes back. Bo wants to get back there as soon as possible, but Woody realizes that he’s been on the adventure of a lifetime to rescue his best friend, and he could have more adventures like that with his family if he stays back. Also living in a carnival gets kinda old. Bo stays back too, as she realizes that she has experienced so much love and affection from Bonnie that she never did at the carnival, and wants to stay for her sake. The ending plays with Woody happily reunited with all his friends, and catching up on all the stuff she’s missed like the shorts and specials. Obviously this is a very messy outline and I left a lot of things up for interpretation, but we need more info about the movie for me to make a better prediction. I’d love to hear anyone else’s plot predictions or if you completely agree with me which none of you will let’s be real.
I really like the idea but it also makes me conflicted cause now the movie doesn’t seem as timeless, kids don’t play with toys as much but toys have and always will be around, the ipad is a new modern thing 💔

I’m honestly really excited about Incredibles 3. They can really improve on what they messed up in the second one. And surely this time they’ll listen to what everyone has been asking for and AGE UP THE CHILDREN
Them just making *_JACK-JACK_* older would've been enough to make me want to watch - Maybe not enough to make me appreciate - Incredibles 2! But no! I haven't even seen - Nor do I plan to ever see - Incredibles 2, and I want *_SO_* much money back, it's.... *_*Groans angrily*_*

@@AbrasiousProductions no point in being pessimistic tho. That won’t help anything
@@bengilhooly3616 I'm a film critic and a conservative with today's climate I've earned the right to be pessimistic about at least cinema, you all have such high hopes for garbage and then feel vastly disappointed when SURPRISE! it turns out to be garbage and I'm proven right once again, I wish I was wrong, I would elated if I were wrong but modern cinema isn't even a corpse, it isn't even bones, it's dust...
@@AbrasiousProductions oh sorry. I wasn’t trying to start an argument. I just wanted to be optimistic because you should always hope for the best even in dark times. As they said in The Last of Us: When you’re lost in the darkness, look for the light
Somewhere in an alternate timeline, Pixar leaves Toy Story in the past and makes Inside Out the spiritual successor to Toy Story.
I'm so happy long form content has survived, this is 10000x better than the modern brain rot you see on TH-cam now. PLEASE SIR, WE NEED THESE VIDEOS
I think Incredibles 3 has a lot of potential but i'm probaly the only one with hope for that movie
Not necessarily, I mean I have hope too. You can thank Inside Out 2 for that, where I hope the children are front and center in saving the day.
If they actually do a time jump and make the kids older, then yeah.
Tbh, you were the first person I was thinking about after I saw the concept art for TS5, the other D23 announcements, and Inside Out 2 😅. Glad your back!

Hello, Trevor's friend
HE'S BACK, BABY
Your editing style and commitment to your channel with all the editing, recording, drafting, production, etc. is so high, Im still surprised youre under 100k, your videos are always captivating and I love them, keep doing you, and dont worry about release dates, im always fine waiting for your excellent videos
I would pay to see this guy have a debate with Schfillas about Toy story 4.
Also there are a few things I do hope to see in TS5:
Jessie pull string phrases.
Utility belt Buzz returning to stop the army of Buzz's
Woody staying with his friends
And, good writing.
Yessss
Seeing Utility Belt Buzz might be cool maybe toy Zurg too
he would easily cook anyone in a toy story debate lol
Well the last one was always there 4 is the best to me
Well the last one was always there 4 is the best to me
24:18 I swear you just have the best ideas for clips to use.
Ik a hundred other people are gonna say it but bro you gotta watch lilo and stitch, you'll absolutely love it
Wait, there's an evil Buzz Army?! Oh no... How did I not hear about that!
I'm shocked too
That is so cool that Owl House crewmembers saw your Owl House video. I haven't seen all of the video yet, due to it being 8 hours long, but I love The Owl House as well, and it's so cool that your vid got that much attention!
Also, glad to see you back!
You have literally all the best takes. They align so well with my own but more thought out.😅 And about the Inside Out 2 breakdown? Yes! Make it!!!
6:56 It's like how Sonic Frontiers doesn't ignore Forces, but instead uses it as a springboard to try and get Tails' character back on track.
I say Sonic Frontiers plot was a look back on Sonic History and say yeah we made mistake in the past, and it will still happen from time to time but we should not ignore them (also like how FOP: New Wish handle later season elements like Poof and Foop)
Well, I don't agree with a lot of your opinions on movies but you absolutely nailed everything you said in this video.
Congratulations for getting the approval of the Owl House team people! That sounds really awesome!!!
There can’t be another Woody for them to do an MCU style return because one of the original creators of Toy Story stated that Woody is the only Woody doll in the entire world
Like they care about that lmao.
It will be the same woody because that’s the woody people want to see, not because of some obscure information one of the original creators *might* have said
@@DerrickWilson-fm7vc i wholeheartedly agree, I just thought I’d bring it up because it was something Magic had brought up as a possibility
@@DerrickWilson-fm7vci think they will care.
@@grathem9789they didn’t even care to keep Buzz or Bo Peep consistent in 4.
I promise you they don’t care about some offhand remark that I’m not even sure exists. If they felt like they could tell a story that would make a lot of money with a second Woody, there’s no doubt in my mind they’d do it without a second thought.
Things I want to see in Incredibles 3:
- The kids are older
- The villain has powers
- Spider-Verse style animation
"If" Inside Out 2 can work, then they could actually make something absolutely incredible!
Of course they can, but that’s not the point. Pointing to one of literally 3 good Pixar sequels as evidence of their potential is exactly why they keep doing them. People are more likely to see a sequel even if it’s more likely to be bad
@@DerrickWilson-fm7vc I'm fully aware.
Like Incredibles 3
Yep. I mean for now Pixar bought themselves time for their legacy movies with sequels, but come next decade... Original great movies need to happen.

27:46 I want a Prequel about the “Glory Days” PLEASE PIXAR DON’T FUMBLE THAT.

I love these so much bro, the 6 hour toy story 4 rant is a goated video and I've watched it like two times already
5:08. Seeing Charlie Morningstar with Forky’s face has made my day.
goated channel, love ya so much, Never been happier wasting 6 hours of my life
Literally the only announcement I've heard of before I watched this was Toy Story 5.
Not only is the complete video of the TS4 series almost at a million, the 5 parts of the original uploads combined ARE over a million. I did the maths, and the 5 parts together have amassed 1.1 million views. Congrats, man.
Scream joy to the world
Inside out 2 has officially dethroned lion king 2019 off its throne
3:27 he still calls him fork face after all this time 😂😂
Id LOVE to see an inside out 2 video from you. Your videos are always incredibly put together and engaging to watch and id jump at the chance to have you break down that movie
Disney is really beating a dead horse when it comes to the Toy Story franchise
If Toy Story 5 ends up doing well, you should really eat your words.
An evil Buzz army?! What?!
Also when you were ranting on that teaser to Toy Story 5 where they put their faces to the camera, I was laughing 🤣🤣😂
11:32 I swear this would be a perfect way to bring back utility belt buzz
I agree with everything stated in the video. This was a fun watch, I honestly enjoy your videos 😂
And everyone memed on it like crazy
29:20 Mom! I’m famous!
Here’s my pitch for Dream Productions;
We know in Inside Out 1 that each emotion takes Dream Duty at night (Joy: I’ll take Dream Duty tonight.
Every clip matches what you say and its a real treat to watch
25:48 I don't know why but I just find the way he says "Turkeys" to be really funny
You were the first person i thought about when this was announced
24:44 I thought when you played that "Thanks inner voice" clip, the joke was that the writers should look to you as their inner voice. But apparently not, judging by your very next sentence. I guess there was more than one joke there.
Gaming magic, the Phineas and Ferb series is now getting remade!
25:38 As someone with an Apple Watch and the Toy Story wallpaper, I can confirm that the animation is indeed the same
Let’s hope when it comes to how they tackle the topic of screen time we get a Michael’s vs the machines and not a Ralph breaks the internet
Agreed
Spitting facts as usual pal!
Very big brain arguments being made that also doesn’t discredit other’s opinions!
GamingMagic13: I want everything that stupid movie stands for to burn in an incinerator forever.
Me: ME TOO!
Excited to see more commentaries, those were always my favorite of your videos!
Always happy when I get a notification for your videos!!
Oh, by the way, I really, really, REALLY can't wait for your Toy Story 3 praise video! It's one of the many things I'm hoping to see for such a long time. And hey, you're a Toy Story historian and whatnot, so I'm looking forward to you analysing this treasure with thought, love and care.
you either die a hero or live long enough to see on of your favorite franchise become :
''PHONE BAD'' :/
I don't want a Lilo and Stitch remake, but the design for Stitch is actually better than I thought it'd be, much better than The Little Mermaid remake
21:29 somehow, no matter how funny or unfunny the clip is, I still laugh when I hear it😂
So something I wanna mention is not only was Bo Beep missing from the concept art, but Mr and Mrs Potato Head were also absent which begs the question: What is Toy Story 5 going to do with those 2? They clearly didn’t want to replace Don Rickles in the last one, so are they just going to have him on the background and say 1 or 2 reused lines, or are he and Mrs. Potato Head going to be straight gone?
GamingMagic13 actually loves Inside Out 2? A modern Pixar sequel at that? Color me impressed!
*GamingMagic13
HES BACK YESSSSSSSSSA
Aw, finally! Where have you been?! You absolute hero ❤
Edit: I won’t be watching Inside Out 2, but it’s good that it wasn’t crap. I just don’t have any confidence or interest in seeing more Pixar stuff or animated Disney stuff for… at least ten years or so. Maybe ever. What does it matter if Disney even does good work and makes good IP/movies anymore if Disney has proven that they’ll just make me hate all of it later???
He’s been working on both this, and his Toy Story 3 video.
@@SonicPlayer2004I’m really excited to see more. The Incredibles 2 breakdown really was fantastic. I hated Incredibles 2 and my husband loved hearing his own problems with the movie broken down by someone else. Toy Story 4 was probably the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life, it was that bad to me. Disney just needs to leave Joss Whedon and his dialogue patterns and ideas behind 😂
Edit: A Buzz Lightyear army?! Oh god! Incredibles 3?! No! Oh my lord 😂 Disney, come get your girl! Pixar is drunk and out here dancing on graves of the IPs! 😂
I hope it starts with woody waking up from a very bad dream (Toy Story 4)
Unlikely
When I saw the evil Buzz army I genuinely had a laughing fit.
I've got to say this video is amazing and I enjoy the content
I have good/bad news it’s confirmed that Toy story 5 is not the last one.
I would love to see an Inside Out 2 video!
I think the evil buzz army could be about smartphone integration into toys, taken to the extreme where you need a dedicated app thats always connected and will probably be shut down in 3 years to get anything out of it, and a malfunction causes the toys to only act how the phone tells it to and that becomes a problem
Oh goddamnit.
29:25 And you said you lost all faith in it last year…what a development
33:10
Great to see your thoughts on everything D23 as well as your upcoming projects. Also I’m really happy that you are gonna make more commentaries because those have become some of my favorite videos you’ve made. Any idea what commentaries would happen soon?
Hi there Trevor I hope you had a lovely vacation, as always good video and thanks for using my tweet as one of the replies to the update news on Toy Story 5 and also my comment to wanting you to do the toy story 3 video next.
And finally take all the time you need to put your price video on Toy Story 3 together and I will see you there.
Holy shit he’s back
So many sequels, Live Action Remakes & originals!
If Skibidi Toilet shows up in Toy Story 5, I’ll draw a high-quality 12-page hentai doujin of your choice.
Can you do it anyway?
Take as much time as you need on the Toy Story 3 video, but just wondering, will it be either…
- A chronological breakdown of the the entire movie’s events in the same style as How TS4 Destroyed Everything
or…
- Split into sections for the story structure, character analyses, and final act in the same style as A Love Letter to The Owl House?
Technology has gotten better and worst since 10 years ago. I hope toy story 5 will have a mature take on toys vs tech. I have a feeling that jessie, buzz and woody will try to break bonnie's ipad which will cause it to malfunction and awaken the army of buzz lightyears
I think 5 will lead another message on life such as nithing stays the same forever thaslts what 4 did for me anyway
Zootopia 2 is honestly the only thing I'm looking forward to.
Looking forward to the Toy Story 3 video.
Bonnie’s group is left to plan how to resist the new mysterious force that wants their Buzz is and why they want him (maybe Buzz can deduce that the army is the new line of Buzz toys that were advertised earlier #letbuzzbesmartagain)
I don’t exactly know what would happen during the rest of the movie since we don’t have a lot of details on that. All the toys would eventually come around to them because:
A) They’ve been using a computer to communicate with the TS4 gang
B) The tablet allowed them to know that Buzz is taken, and possibly where he is. (I’m also fucking convinced there is going to be a Sox reference and you cannot make me change my mind)
At the end, they rescue Buzz and defeat the stupid evil Buzz army, and just as it happens, or a bit after it happens, the carnival comes back.
I doubt it

Honestly the iPad invasion is a good idea for a franchise with animate toys.
Ironic at best.
I really like the idea but it also makes me conflicted cause now the movie doesn’t seem as timeless, kids don’t play with toys as much but toys have and always will be around, the ipad is a new modern thing 💔
