You, Sir, are a gentleman and a scholar! I nearly ripped the thing out by hand....then thought better of it and started manual searching. Which gave me nothing. Wound up here. Happy now. ;-)
Great video! I attempted to remove the spray arm for 30min before seaching the internet...and within 3 mins I had the arm removed! Thanks for the video!!!
Thank you so much for posting this. I was trying to clean some foriegn material from the strainer, but couldn't figure out how to get the spray arm off to access it.
@tomgamon I was stumped too, I talked to some appliance repair people and they told me "turn it counter clockwise and pull up" I finally crawled in there and saw that leaver. Once I found it, it was simple. I'm glad it helped you out.
Thank you so much sir you are a blessing. We’ve been working on our GDS7100V70WW for a couple days and we could not for the life of us figure out how to detach that sprayer arm. Thank you so much.
Thank you sir. I looked at other videos and none explain how to take the spindle out, they justt showed taking it out but left out the part that there is a clip handle behind. I spent 30 mins trying to figure it out, until I seem your video.I was about to make the mistake of using force to pry out the spindle. Thank you.
Finally, Thank you. I have a GSD1300N00BB that come out that way. I spent way too long trying to figure this out. GE had so many ways of doing this, that finally finding the correct way is a relief..Thank you
Excellent Video. I have a GSD2400. Spray arm easily removed. Really want to remove that filter to really clean it off (mine is very gross). Do you have a video which goes into that part? Or a link to how to remove it? Would LOVE to see that. Thank you so much.
I will echo all the other comments on here, this is my sixth video of the day and the first to ACTUALLY show what I’m supposed to be doing w the flat head! All other vids it just magically snaps out and they carry on, TYSM!!!
Wrong model but it helped me figure out why I couldn't get the sprayer arm loose. Mine had a tab on the front to hold it in place and I didn't think there could be one in the back as well. Not the best location for it.
omg that worked for my dishwasher too! This was a great help!!! Mine is a GE2304k000. On mine there are 2 wee tabs on the arm that you need to jut pull out a bit and then the arm snapped right out. Be careful though, mine is an older washer and the tabs are plasic. As plastic ages, it gets more brittle and I almost snapped a tab right off but I think it will still be ok.
Thank you Sir, It is criminal what these companies do to milk money from their customers. Anything I buy new won`t be GE , that is probably why they are having bankruptcy problems.
thanks helped me so much! haven't had dishwasher for a month because i couldn't get -afford someone to do a service call. BTW mine is hotpoint but exactly the same configuration.
Thanks for the video, very helpful. Dishwater was not cleaning very well so when i took out the spray arm i noticed either build up or some plastic pieces in both ends blocking the end holes. Haven't tested yet, but should solve my issue.
I broke mine a few days ago as well. I found the parts online but seems like the whole DW needs to come out to replace that from the bottom up. WD12X10244 was the part I found - Anyone know cost of having someone replace this for me?
Thank you for the video it was very helpful. I only have one question though if your spray arm filters underneath the spray arms are black, do you need to clean them? If so how?
yay thank alot for that info.....my boyfriend could not figure it out.....so i got on you tube seen this video and than i went and done it myself...lol i showed him
bummer. i should have watched this before the lever broke. is the cylinder head that has the lever (holds the sprayer) replaceable? doesn't look like it. new dishwasher in order?
