Pretty slick sled. On the hinges, you could upgrade them to Gemlux friction hinges to circumvent the not having shocks issue. It'll hold the hatch in whatever position you open it to. Cost a little money but they do make a hell of a difference.

Appreciate the honest review. I always liked these from watching saltwater experience but I see after practical use there are some improvements needed to this skiff.

Pro trick : watch series on flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies recently.

I appreciate this review very much! I am in the market for a flats skiff and Yellowfin was on my list. I like the 18 Hewes the most at this point. This boat retails for close to 70K brand new! At that price, everything on that boat should be the best of the best, but evidently it is far from it. Once you told me it's wet, that is a killer. Your paying for the name Yellowfin to ride around and look good. I'd rather spend my money on a boat that has everything this boat doesn't from the get go!!!

Yes it has many solid points and has been a great boat. But I agree for the price you be left wanting for nothing. Good luck in your search

Nice skiff...love my Bossman skiff as well. Like you, a few things I would change but overall a great boat. I fish Caranchua Bay if you ever want to hit some different water let me know.

Brad did you get the front platform from the same place that did the sea deck. I’m running a Ranger ghost it’s very similar to your yellow fin

Yes Sir, Its a Husband and Wife who own two different Companies. So they built the platform and then seajacked it for me. Look up Sabine Skiffs and call Brian and ask for a similar deal. He should be able to take care of you!

Hey bud I saw where you said you live in Santa Fe I was curious if were running Basford Bayou if so do you know if you can launch at the boat ramp on Harborwalk Blvd publicly or is it private. Just curious it’s the subdivision on you right as you come out of the bayou. Thanks.

Harborwalk Launch is private but you can join the Marina and use it. I have considered doing that buts it's like $1100 a year for access to the ramp

Thanks bud I think we are gonna put in next to Tiki island tomorrow and try them out. If you you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

The water has been all but gone at that ramp, only advice I have is look for some deeper guts near flats and you should do well! Good luck tomorrow!!

Nice boat but 42mph seems awfully slow for a 115 on that little boat. A buddy of mine has a 19 foot center console more of a bay boat with a 115 and his runs faster than that with 2 adults, fishing gear, a big cooler full of ice and drinks, and almost 50 gallons of fuel.

Yes I agree, I thinks she's propped really bad. I keep planning to re prop but just haven't yet.
