I have a progressive disorder so the older I get the more drs offices/hospital rooms I end up seeing. I was so used to being ignored and treated poorly until my mother in law-who works at a dr office- started coming with me while wearing her scrubs 😂 am I a grown adult going to see drs with a parent? Yep! But do they give SO MUCH MORE information and treat me more seriously now that they see another medical staff member in the room? YEP!! 🤣

One thing I learned from my doctor, not sure if others know, so worth sharing. If your mother had it, the recommend you get your first mammogram at the age 10 years before your mom was diagnosed (if it’s before the recommended age to start) . For example, if your mom was diagnosed at 40, you should get your mammogram at 30.

I really appreciate you putting yourself out there like this, telling us your story as you experience it. I’m sure it’s demystifying cancer for a lot of people. Who may feel less overwhelmed seeking help for symptoms or supporting a loved one. Wish you all the love ✌️

I was diagnosed at 31 in 2019. I wish I had recorded more of what I did. A lot of my memories of that time are fuzzy and lost because it was just a LOT to process.

Appreciate this openness with your process. A couple of friend went through lymphoma and blood cancer during covid, was not able to join them physically during the ride and every time they would tell me the stories of chemo sessions i would picture them not like this hahaah i always thought it was painful. They are both in remission, two years and one year respectively. You got this ❤

The day before I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, I underwent a sternotomy to have the mediastinal mass that was near my heart removed; since they didn’t know what it was for weeks. It has been such a rollercoaster and recently finished my second round of chemo. I truly appreciate you for sharing your journey! I don’t feel so alone during this process and hope for the best for you as well during chemo treatments ❤️you got this!
