I saw a tip on ATK -- grate the cold butter on a box grater to make it easier to blend into the flour!

Thanks! I never make things that require cutting the butter into the dough because I hate doing it! I’m definitely going to try this!

Grating frozen butter for your pie crust works really well also requires less work

You could also use a pastry cutter or even two forks to work the butter into the flour. Less handling of the dough that way.

These are wonderful. I have made them with bacon, ham, sausage, peppers and onions, broccoli, corn, canned chicken, and chicken a la king. I have also used pie filling, pudding, and as funny as it sounds, cinnamon and sugar, nutmeg, and sweet potatoes. I even added marshmallows for my hubby. This is a versatile recipe that you can really make your own. I want to try thickening beef stew and using it as a filling and try the same with vegetable beef soup with barley as my hubby loves pot pies...ooh, sausage gravy inside....mmmmm. macaroni and cheese bombs? Mexican street corn with chicken bombs? Chicken broccoli Alfredo bombs with mozzarella? Hmmm...

You can take your ingredients and put them between two slices of bread, cut the edges and press to seal and then fry in a sandwich maker or fry pan.

Great idea! Love how you made the crust using Dollar Tree items too. I bet those would freeze really well and the toaster streudle sized ones would probably reheat well in a toaster oven like a savory pop tart 😊 Really enjoyed this recipe and also wanted to say your hair is gorgeous! Great job! 🥰

I love your reactions when the food comes out great. Almost like you melt right into the food. Love your videos but also love your recipes you come up with. I’m not a creative person. I cook the way my Mom use to do. I have to have a recipe to go by.

I keep my flour in the freezer with my butter so both are cold when I bake

I do breakfast tacos, assembly line, tortilla, slice of cheese a 1/4 cup filling or choice , fold over, wrap with parchment or wax paper and freeze in a zip storage bag. Microwave or air dry for crispy tortilla. Add hot sauce or salsa if desired.

Those look delicious!! And for so cheap? Just wish I had the patience to make actual pie dough. I guess I could always get some frozen stuff from Walmart… Not too much more expensive, since time is money! But awesome job, thanks for the inspiration!

My original version of this used crescent dough but dollar tree doesn’t carry that so absolutely use premade if you can ;)

This is the sane filling we use for breakfast tacos except we use real cheese. We use a glour tortilla suff it put the cheese on and fry on each side. If my tortillas are fragile and wont wrap easily i make breakfast tostadas.

2 sticks of frozen Margarine cubed
    Mix in:
4-6tbsp Ice water at 1st, then 1-2tbsp more at a time until all is flaky
Flour the countertop & put all dough on top, and form it completely into a nice solid ball

When ready roll dough on a flowered countertop
