Lots of people hate magpies, this TikTok-famous bird is changing that.

Magpies are cheeky birds known for digging through trash cans and being a general nuisance around neighbourhoods in Edmonton all year long. Many people search for ways how to get rid of magpies, how to build traps to catch magpies or how to scare magpies away from their yards. Despite their bad reputation, magpies are smarter than we think. These birds are intelligent members of the corvid family. They can remember human faces, solve puzzles and some magpies can even imitate human speech.

Circle is the name of the magpie who found friends in local artists Trew Facks and Gabs. When Trew and Gabs discovered Circle, he was injured and abandoned. They nursed the magpie back to health and he keeps on visiting the young couple, squawking a special chirp whenever he wants to fly by. Trew and Gabs even have a TikTok account for Circle with almost 200k followers.
