Kendo 5th Dan ( Godan ) Pass Vs Fail Analysis
In this video I review and discuss my first attempt at the Kendo Godan examination which I failed and compare it to my second attempt a year later where I pass.
This is a deep dive so it's a lengthy video, but entirely worth watching if you're training towards Yondan and or Godan. I sincerely hope it can be of benefit to others in their training.

Thanks for the detailed analysis. And congrats on Godan. This gives me some things to think about in how I train now and what I need to concentrate on. As Fisher Sensei says. Great Kendo Video!

I just passed Yon Dan after being 3rd Dan for many years. Make sure your posture and balance are good. Hit a Kote-Men or Kaishi-Do or Kote-Do. Something you have obviously practiced that is a combination beyond just Men or Kote. Have a loud Kiai, good follow through and Zanshin and you should do well. Do not get overly concerned if you get scored on. Stay focused and GOOD LUCK!! Let me know how you do.

Thanks for the feedback. Like I say, if it can be of help to someone then that's what this channel is all about.
