Like what kind of vetting does she do on these employers? Has she ever sent girls to him before? It’s a little funny Helen tells Josh to absolve his guilt when she probably quickly resolved any guilt she had for sending Candace there (and that’s only because he got caught, imagine if she stayed quiet and it was a he said she said)…

Looking back at these films with you guys makes me realize how genius Tyler Perry is. Regardless of the stereotyping he constantly uses throughout his film, its the fact that he did everything by himself .

Oh, most definitely "Soul Food." I saw that when I was in high school and loved it. Vanessa Williams, Nia Long, Vivica A.Fox, those three ladies right there made for one hell of a line up. AND it had nothing to do with Tyler Perry! No disrespect to Tyler because I love the "Madea" movies. Shoot, that was pre Tyler Perry I believe....Another good one is "Bringing Down the House" starring Queen Latifah, Steve Martin and Eugene Levy. The Madea movies have always been sort of a big part of my childhood ever since I discovered Tyler Perry when I was around 7-8 years old (I’m 18 now). So I’ve always had sort of a soft spot for Tyler Perry and his movies (specifically Madea).

I'll admit that it bothered me when he told the story and violadavis character basically he shouldn't feel guilty because she had problems before that. Which is bullshit getting gang assaulted at a party the one person your friends with invited you too then left and then having him continue to act like he doesn't know you or like it didn't happen is 100% what sent her down that path and ruined her life. Her life was hard like everyone else's and if her biggest issue was not having friends in school I highly doubt she would have still turned out like that

As well as Big Happy Family - 2011, which goes more into Madea's family structure and much like his other movie has a mix of comedy and seriousness, this movie also reveals more backstory of Cora (Madea's daughter) and then Mr. Brown (Cora's father, the man that is always wearing the wacky clothes)

I think we're all recommending the plays without telling you which one to start with. "Madea's Family Reunion" is the most popular. It's hilarious, amazing cast, Mr. Brown and Cora are in it and Madea lands her best jokes and squares up with the best villain characters. Keep in mind his plays are musicals too, so be prepared to sit through about 5-10 songs per play.
You guys are my FAV duo on this channel! I know you guys are still on the Madea Trail but I would love to see you guys react to "The Perfect Guy" with Michael Ealy, Morris Chestnut, and Sanaa Lathan! Also the movie "The Intruder" with Micheal Ealy, Megan Good, and Dennis Quaid! I think you guys will love both thrillers and black lead casts as well! 🥰

I love the contrast of your analysis watching African American films. I would really like to see you guys do the movie “For Colored Girls “. This film is one of the most amazing films ever created in my opinion. The film is about the different obstacles that lies in many different African American woman lives and each actress is taking on one of the issues.
