Update: It looks like Carowinds will get a kiddie coaster & area in 2025, followed by something water related (log flume or water coaster) in 2026. Their next major coaster will likely come after that. Thanks so much for watching! I have a couple of my best videos in the works one of which I've been working on for over 6 months! Can't wait to share 😉
Here is my ABSOLUTELY PERFECT coaster scenario for Carowinds. This is what I would do if I owned the park: Tear down Hurler and put a ground up RMC Hyper Hybrid in its place with elements from Steel Vengeance, Iron Gwazi, Zadra, and ArieForce One Build a modern GCI Twister wooden coaster in the Dinosaurs Alive Plot of Land with elements from El Toro, the Voyage, and Mystic Timbers Build a Mack Water Coaster in the old Rip Roarin Rapids Plot of Land Remove Nighthawk and Vortex and build a Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster like Ride to Happiness, but can also be compared to Intamin Blitz Coasters like Velocicoaster and Pantheon, among the other best ones, and elements from Mack Hypers. Above the lake.
Have some semi-reliable insider info, near Afterburn there as a huge stretch of Parking and an entrance gate that is almost never used. As well as an old Dinosaurs Alive section that closed in 2019. What they want to do is tear up those sections and through a coaster there. the problem is with how the zoning is it starts to get close to the exit. That and there's an old auditorium that their wanting to tear u and do a Flume ride or some ort of water ride that wouldn't fit in the waterpark itself. since the old one got closed a few years ago.
If Hurler gets the RMC treatment, I think it will be a Twisted Timbers clone since both had the same layout at one point. There just isn’t enough space for a 200+ ft truss lift hill.
I think Carowinds needs to turn The Vortex into a floorless or dive coaster. Nighthawk just needs to change the seats and it will feel more like flying.
I say Nighthawk has a 5 year life span max. They could retire it and wait a few years and get a B&M Flyer or maybe get an S&S Axis. I think this park needs an RMC Family like Kid Flash @ SFFT, RMC Hurler and remove The Flying Cobras and Carolina Goldrush for a massive Gravity Group twister and theme it to Carolina Hurricanes NHL Team. Remove Vortex and Nighthawk you can drop the Axis there. Behind camp Snoopy you could add a new B&M Family Invert themed to Snoopy as The Red Baron and the RMC Family. Behind the Paladium add an Intamin Blitz that combines elements from Taron/Toutatis and within the structure you could also have an Intamin log flume like Chiapas. You could also remove Carolina Cyclone and build another family woodie like Oscar's Wacky Taxi or Wood Express. Add a dueling water coaster to water park and you're done. This would be the best line up in the South.
It's a mistake thinking they're trying to make the ride lineup the best, they made it as good or slightly better than other mid tier parks, e.g. KD. The results are better due to location, but that's all they have to do, but they were starting from behind. Their lineup drops off sharply after the top 4, and 3 of those were from Cedar Fair.
This is the same scenario as Canada’s Wonderland. Coaster collection was bad until Cedar Fair arrived. There has been as much investment in Carowinds as Wonderland despite Wonderland attendance being substantially larger.
All the US based parks need to cone up with something to rival even half of what falcons flight is going to be. Its sad Carowinds gave up so much of its land they could have done SO much over time.
Cedar fair and carowinds meging is a horrible idea six flags doesn't take car of there parks I worked for them for less than a year I quit do to how shitty the park was run management sucks so unsanitary I was payed decently buy it not worth employees geting sick every few weeks I worked at six flags over ga are break room was nasty I would never work at one six flags agin I worked at carowinds for the summer when I was over in charolete my friend got me a Job there my God biggest improvement I seen park was clean there were almost no complaints from employees the break room was nice unlike the one at six flags with the shitty refrigerator
Six Flags under the new management over the last 2 years has been a lot better. They've been fixing up their parks & taking more of the Cedar Fair approach to new investments.
@Loopingthrills but I wanna know who gonna be in charge cedar fair or six flags cause if six flags in charge I don't know we're I'm gonna go for a amusement park
@@hyperpiolet How many Six Flags parks have you been to? There are some awesome Six Flags parks. Great Adventure and Fiesta Texas are amazing. I love Over Georgia, New England, Magic Mountain too. Texas and Great America are great for rides but not very beautiful IMO.
@gametime2473 I've been to around 7 of them they all were unsanitary now I've been to European amusement parks they have a bigger standard of cleanliness than the American parks when I worked at six flags training employees they just gave me half ass instructions left ya to it and luckily another employee helped me they said this always happens the only reason pepole stayed was cause they get a lot of pepole who quit from the shitty working conditions the only reason some didn't leave was cause they gave us a bit of a pay raise they even gave us pizza partys from one of the parks food place I swear that shit hit worse than taco bell now cedar fair they were great I was actually taught how to do stuff and the toilets were clean the employees toilet at six flags you know those tiny toilets you see in some homes and it looks nasty that's what it looked like

Both cedar point and Carowinds are so popular that they even brought steel vengeance and copperhead strike into planet coaster!
They should put 325 in there

How would they fit a hyper hybrid....
I completely agree with everything except the tear down of night hawk. It is only one of two of the Flying Dutchman models left in the world.
@@Jbol-qw1tu I’m thinking relocate nighthawk to Michigan’s adventure
leave the hurler alone it’s the only wooden rollercoaster! they already took away thunder road 😭
@@jesstality that’s why I said build another wooden coaster that’s actually good in a gci. Hurler is garbage
I would love to see a single rail, dive coaster, and less likely an RMC Hybrid.
7:07 they also have a B&M stand-up

That would be a great idea. Hopefully it will have bigger drop than Steel Vengeance.

No enough with the kid friendly crap carowinds was not meant specifically for kids it’s bs
removing carolina cyclone would be stupid it was the worlds first coaster with 4 inversions

I would like to see a dive or wing Rollercoaster
Rather see a hybrid instead
This aged😊

Go anymore extreme then Fury your looking at a total disaster. Fury has a lot of engineering problems.
How so?
so idk where you heard that, Fury is basically never closed due to maintenance/ engineering problems and is probably the most reliable coaster there.
I am so far beyond coasters and thrill rides. Wish Carowinds would do something for those of us that are not coaster enthusiasts.
