I will never understand people's complaint about the boss battle, it was freaking glorious when I played it a over a decade ago and still just as glorious when I relive it. That cinematic transformation, the huge well animated sprites, and my god the music... classic Natsume stuff. That feel when boss music changes just for the final battle, that was amazing.
Well the bosses were overpowered so it was pure rng whether you would win. At least that's what it was before. With my current gaming knowledge and the exploit that blocking nullifies all damage forever, they would be super easy to beat. But back then I would start over hundreds of times
@@DimitarUzunov1412i remember playing this game ages ago I always exploit blocking even when i was a kid. You could brute force them but the final boss is impossible without blocking
1:57 R. Hawk vs. Mirror Jigen 5:35 W. Swan vs. Camera Jigen 8:30 Bl. Swallow vs. Bus Jigen 11:45 Bk. Condor vs. Light Armadillo 15:23 Y. Owl vs. Dimensional Mammoth 19:25 R. Hawk vs. D. Beast Semimaru (Final Boss)
Area D is my favorite too, but it's difficult to pick only one when the entire soundtrack is just amazing, even the title screen theme is so good that you must take a couple of minutes to appreciate it before starting the game.
Thanks to the Natsume and the incredible Iku Mizutani's sound driver and his partner Hiroyuki Iwatsuki... Chaos World, Shatterhand, Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain, Mitsume Ga Tooru and this.. Forever 8 bit sound..
Before I scrolled down to read the comments, I was thinking damn this music sounds almost as kickass as Shatterhand. It even has some of the same sound effects. Shatterhand has I think my all time favorite NES soundtrack. It even beats out Contra. With a little re-tooling, this sentai game could have been Shatterhand II. I wish we could get a current gen Shatterhand game.
Moreover, Hiroyuki also still active to create music for the console such as Gundam Wing Endless Duel (SNES / Sufami), Wild Guns (SNES), Power Rangers The Movie (SNES), and even the Super Sentai Games on PS1 (Gaoranger & Kakuranger). His heroic music composition is one of the best, especially for a Japanese Superhero games.
I agree with you. It's one of the best sound drivers ever created for the Famicom/NES. One special thing about it is the echo feature, it is the element which gives that "Natsume" sound. And the envelopes for the pulse channels are pretty nice too.
The team who working on this game is the same with Shatterhand / Solbrain, and also Shadow of the Ninja / Kage. That's why you will have the same aura with those three games.
Man I had that game omg! I remember been sooooooo damn good! The pace the movements and especially the music.. remember playing it for hours with my friend. Dying all the time!!! Hahahahaha and the boss battles are so epic! And yes for that time that was a damn good game!!!! 20 years ago man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's quite impressive at replicating the look and feel of the show on the NES. The SNES Power Rangers game was cool and all but it was a lot clunkier, whereas these controls seem a lot tighter. I have NO issue with the difficulty being easier, since one of my biggest gripes about SNES Rangers was how freaking hard/unfair it was. Jetman was a great show, too.
this game is better than Zyuranger (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) on NES, at least in Robot Battle, I can play as a fighting game, but in Zyuranger, all Robot Battle is mini-games! :|
Estive procurando esse jogo a um tempão, e fez lembrar a minha infância, muito obrigado mesmo!! ( I've been looking for this game a long time, and reminded my childhood, thanks so much!) sorry for my bad english :P
Game came out long before 2000, the SNES was on it's last legs by then, the NES long out of the picture. 2000 was the year it got fan translated for English speaking gamers. Yeah, I know your comment is ancient, but this is for those who might think the same thing.
Thx for this, I remembered to have played this, but I was searching this as some kind of power rangers edition with no luck obviously. One of the best music on nes here.
If I was a bootleg game programmer, I would turn this into ''LeapFrog Adventure''. I would recolor the Jetman's sprites to make them look like LeapFrog characters, and the Megazord fights would be recolored into giant frog duels!
"after this one was called Zyuranger also knows as in the U.S. as Mighty Mophin Power Rangers" That actually isn't true. Power Rangers and Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger are so different that they should be considered different series.
Great game albeit not entirely show-accurate in a few parts. The mecha used in the boss fights wasn't introduced until mid-way through the show. Somewhat surprising the last boss wasn't one of the four main villains.
Anybody knows how to trigger "Hyper G Attack" finisher when fighting boss? I mean the Giant Bird-like attack to finishing the enemy. Because when fighting the boss, I always got "Bird Maser" (the rapid fire from the chest). I'm still wondering until now :( Anyway this is a good presentation of a Super Sentai game. We could choose any of the rangers freely, and the mecha battle is good, even there's fighting mode... thinking about not much fighting games available on NES / Famicom. Too bad Zyuuranger didn't as good as this.
I think it depends on the character you choose at the beginning of the level. I mean, when you pick the guy who uses guns as weapons, the mecha finisher will be that giant bird.
Yes, it's a Famicom-game-only. A fans already translated it to English (see at the title screen, there's text written "2000 - Magimoogle" who translated this game to English).
+Ivan Rodríguez Hey man. Sorry to bother ya with this, but there's a certain game that's been scratching at my brain for quite a while and i just can't remember what it's called. It was a game about a pink haired man, wielding a rifle and he traversed the island to get to shore, where he reunited with his ship. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for that game but nothing comes up. You wouldn't happen to know what that game is called?
I'm afraid not, I do not remember any game with these characteristics. However, perhaps the name of the console or company could make me the idea of what the game is.
I keep forgetting that Natsume and Konami have similar styles in the NES/FC era, the music and the sound effects mirror one another.
Well the bosses were overpowered so it was pure rng whether you would win. At least that's what it was before. With my current gaming knowledge and the exploit that blocking nullifies all damage forever, they would be super easy to beat. But back then I would start over hundreds of times

This why I love TH-cam. It's like a time capsule.

If the uploader copies and pastes this into the description it should generate chapters.
This game....
I remember playing this for HOURS and HOURS on end.....
I'm having nostalgia tears right now 8')
This game has amazing soundtracks. Stage D especially is my jam.
Area D is my favorite too, but it's difficult to pick only one when the entire soundtrack is just amazing, even the title screen theme is so good that you must take a couple of minutes to appreciate it before starting the game.
Soundtracks are so wonderful !
My childhood was back when I hear this soundtracks
OMG, my beautiful memories comeback please ..

Sounds like Shatterhand . Looks like another great game missed during my childhood years . Deff getting this ASAP .
Sounds like Shatterhand probably because of Mr. Hiroyuki Iwatsuki ;)
Is a hack game?

Watching this fills me with a nostalgia for a show I never watched.
The complete show is on TH-cam!
THE MUSIC!!
It's awesome
I just beat this game today. Awesome boss battles and music. Amazing overlooked classic game that is easily now one of my favorite games ever.
One of the TOP NES game ever!

Recuerdo llegar del colegio por la tarde y jugar este juego con tanta emoción.
Ja również. Pozdrawiam 😉

Finaly, found name of this game.. so nostalgic :,)

I agree this game have a awesome soundtrack :) love it

Must have played this when I was around 7; it was one of the few games that I could complete on the NES.
*Finally found my childhood game!*
Love the soundtrack!
This looks pretty amazing for a NES game. The title screen says (c) 2000 - these guys must have been experts at NES development :)
Cool music too
Game came out long before 2000, the SNES was on it's last legs by then, the NES long out of the picture. 2000 was the year it got fan translated for English speaking gamers.
Yeah, I know your comment is ancient, but this is for those who might think the same thing.
Nostalgia :D, great super sentai game for nes...
Choujin Sentai Jettoman (Superman Squadron Jetman)
Jetto Jetto Jettoman JET Oh JET Oh JETMAN
Let's Go Tobidase! Let's Go Fly Away!
Jetto Jetto Jettoman JET Oh JET Oh JETMAN
Choujin Sentai Jettoman Superman Squadron Jetman
This show got officially released in America today. So, wonder no more.

finally found this game ! just 15 years since i last played :D
Either you came here because you like Sentai, or you just watched the AVGN Power Rangers episode.
Glad to see that you are doing well, Valis77! Good job in playing that Famicom game to the very end!
The music is awesome!
"after this one was called Zyuranger also knows as in the U.S. as Mighty Mophin Power Rangers"
That actually isn't true. Power Rangers and Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger are so different that they should be considered different series.
02:14 This is the always the best part I liked about this game!
hermosos recuerdos de mi infancia :')
Also, Y E L L O W O W L is the greatest character in the game.
Grałem w tą grę gdzieś w połowie lat 90. w Polsce. I do dziś uważam że jest zajebista. Chyba czas znowu ją ograć na emulatorze
0:27 that music appears in the show?

@@rickybor493 Thanks. Will try it later
Holy Momma what a beautiful kick !
So sad that Gai Yuki died in the Final Episode!
Shouldn't this be for Famicom? Jetman never aired in the US.
Yes, it's a Famicom-game-only. A fans already translated it to English (see at the title screen, there's text written "2000 - Magimoogle" who translated this game to English).
Wow! Power Rangers on NES, i wish they had Power Rangers for NES at the time.
I'm surprised Nintendo never repackage this into Power Rangers to maintain the support of the NES especially from a hot franchise like Power Rangers
This should have been on the new Nes!!
If this isn't Jaleco, I don't know WHAT is.. Shatterhand all the way. Game music was just so awesome back then..
Natsume, nuff said.
now i remember what was going on there and i also remembered that it was very easy :)
What is the meaning of copyright year 2000 magimoogle? It was released in 1991 right?
best OST game on nintendo
Sera que a pessoa que gravou ese video esta viva e bem? Espero que sim

CHOUJIN SENTAI JETMAN
02:37 Epic music!
@Kingofbandits05 We sure. Gatchaman characters had human names (Ken, Jun, Joe) and they weren't color-based
What happened to Valis77?
17년?정도전에 디게좋아햇던 게임..
its Shatterhand (NES) X Tokkyū Shirei Solbrain (Famicom) X Choujin Sentai Jetman (NES036)
Ending theme my favorite awsome!
Me likes the theme song
Power rangers Time Force on the Game Boy must've used this same engine lol
Oh man, I played the shit out of this just for the short robot fights.
Отличная игра!Я ее прошел в 1996 году)))
My NES "Power Rangers" cartridge was this game.
I love version of the power rangers
