If you search Sabine's background , you will find that she is far from an ametuer and has performed internationally. She is a skilled writer as well, and performs difficult editions of traditional , folk music and her own original pieces. She is often innovative and inputs her own vision into a piece. There fore, you can be assured that she did not make a mistake in Hanks song, but inserted her words ,as many singers do, to to make her version special and uneque . Maybe ,also, just having a little fun with her friend , the fiddle player.
+Doug Miller Rhiannon Gibbons has a turned up nose and much flatter hair and a much higher voice. Rhiannon would never screw up the obvious title words of a well known Hank Williams song. This girl does a nice job singing it, though. I don't understand why the fiddle player didn't whisper the words to her. the first time, instead of foolishly copying her later.
The trombone player is Carlos St. Ana from Dizzy Birds. The singer does not appear to be Rhiannon. From a distance I thought she may be Leyla McCalla but as I got closer I realized she was not.
+azzbo43 You might be right. I started thinking about that, too. But I would think that's something you might do with your own band, not a band like this. On the other hand, famous lyrics are often changed. to fit the singer or the band's own personal interpretation. She's very good, whoever she is.
Sabine McCalla, the younger sister of Leyla McCalle, herself an accomplished cellist, singer and player of Haitian style banjo. Leyla used to be a member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, but went on a solo career.
A nice effort, even if she did struggle with the words of "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You" (or as she sings it "I Can't Help It If You're Still In Love With Me")
Sabine McCalla has such an expressive voice and is absolutely gorgeous.
Pretty sure I fall in love with her every time I watch this video 🥰

Cheers 🍻! I didn't know that about Sabine. I'm going to have to check her sounds out some more.
I wasn't before watching but sure am now
you enjoy my life! day by day!
👍 Schöne Musik! Danke!
The singer is Sabine McCalla.
Thanks Raul. I first thought she was her sister Leyla. I was close but no cigar. They are 2 very talented sisters.
Her and her sister are both RIDICULOUS .
Fine voice.. The horns are good not overloud. Strings good..percussion good
Queen Creole ?
Sabine has a very talented sister that they sometimes perform together. Check out Leyla McMcalla
You are correct, LEYLA McCALLA
th-cam.com/video/HWgpyApBMME/w-d-xo.html ...
(Carolina Chocolate drops) , on peut voir Leyla et Rihanonn ... Le débat est clos ??
Yeah. The girl singer is Diana Patton, and the trumpet player needs to tune his horn
she is nice to look !! and the band is great.
Muy lindo.
El que esta en el banjo es Nick Hans?
I think that might be Rhiannon Giddens. The trombone player is one of the Dizzy Birds.

Possibly the lyric change had some personal meaning for her.

Her sister sings with Rhiannon in Carolina Chocolate Drops, if memory serves.
What is a title of that song, please?
ALL ''BLACK''SINGER'S HAVE AN SPECIAL VOICE.-MY ENGLISH I'TS VERY BAD,SORRY,BUT I LOVE THE MUSIC FROM N.ORLEANS
She is half white obviously, not that it matters, it is all jass, check out Tuba Skinny Erica
Definitely not Rhiannon Giddens does anyone know who she is
This singer has an older sister and more known, will see if I can find her.
dochutto : voir Carolina Chocolaté Drops ...

give that girl a mic

Any ol' Hank fan would note that! But, I like her voice.
I think you are conflating struggle with satire. And the fiddler was in on the joke. You seemingly aren't and neither was I at first.
They definitely shared some knowing looks during that verse. I’d suspect young love 😉
The Girl is Rhiannon Giddens
WRONG1
She is Sabine McCalla, the sister of Leyla McCalla, a cello player and singer who spent time with the fabulous Rhiannon Giddens and the CCD--
Not bad, but they ain't Tuba Skinny and Erica; and the awesome Shaye!!!
shurshot 2 : Ils ont délégué Barnabus ...
Speak English when you're talkin' 'bout ole Hank!!! Hombre!
Barnabus Jones on the cornet instead of his usual trombone.
Bit of a turn around, but nice.
no es rihannon
