Sorry for the dumb question but I just want to ask a cake decorator personally, did you take school to get a certification or something? And was it culinary school or pastry chef school? I’m thinking of maybe trying to take a path to be a cake decorator. Don’t know where to start tho. Even tho it’s 3 years later hopefully you see this lol
@@gsanchez5116, though schooling would have been super cool and helpful, most cake decorators I know (including myself) are a combination of self taught and learning from others in their area! Unless you plan on going into a high end bakery/restaurant, your experience and presentation of skill is what will matter most!

My coworker’s best friend is a cake decorator so I’m thinking of asking him for like an “in”🤔🤣 I’m artistic and I already like drawing and painting and making all kinds of stuff so I think I could be good at it and it seems fun. Would you say it was easy to find a job, or was it kind of hard?
