Mia Larby I’ve got a coat that I bought from primark at about that time too. It’s a little worn now but still looks pretty good. However, when I bought a coat from primark last year it looked a mess (pilled in some places and worn out in others) after about a month and a half. I was actually embarrassed to wear it it was that bad. Makes me think the quality has gone down.
If you put white vinegar on your top where ever you need to it gets rid of smells, works really well on men's white shirts too , stops discoloration and smells, in fact get yourself a book about vinegar as it's amazing , brightens colours , softens towels ,cleans loads of things ,trust me you won't be disappointed x
I really do love the candles from Primark, in my opinion the smell really stays even after relighting them but they might not cover a big room with the smell. Tho they don't burn equally which sometimes can end up in your candle not lighting up again while there's a lot left on the sides.
I always buy those long sleeve tops to wear as a thermal type under my work polos ,I like them because if you roll your sleeves up they still seem to hold their shape which I like for £2.50 haha
I actually have a different opinion on the thin sweaters and pajamas, I love them! Mine look just as good after a wash, and they seem to last a while as well 🤔 I agree on the majority of the rest, specially Primark underwear, they are amazing !
I love primark but I'm all about m&s for PJs and bras. They're a bit pricey but I don't think the prices don't break the bank iykim. The jumpers from primark don't last me at all either
I've started buying my toddler clothes from m&s now he's not growing so fast, so much more expensive but so worth it! Washes well and doesn't go bobbly loose their shape. Completely agree with you 🤗
@@parissummer2182 yes! Definitely worth it especially if you plan to more than one child. I have two boys and spend more on my eldest clothes so they can be passed down to the younger one. Whereas I only have one girl and I'm not so quick to spend much on her clothes as I don't have anyone to pass them to. I don't want to spend loads just give them to the charity shop a few months later. M&S is such excellent quality for women's clothes too. Everything I have has lasted years. Their leggings and tights are great quality too 😊 I don't find too many younger m&s fans anymore 🤣
That pink throw is amazing! Totlly agree with you on those cheap tops about the smell. I think it's because they usually contain a lot of polyester rather than cotton-makes you sweat much more or at least it does me. For t shirt type tops I definitely prefer to pay a bit more and get cotton. I also agree with you on the pyjamas-often don't last long, go bobbly and get holes in. I really like Asda PJs for reasonably priced ones, they wash and last well and they tend to have cute Disney ones etc x
I would also recommend Primarks panties because they are good value for money, heads up on the size though because depending on the model and the material it can look really weird 😂😘

If you see it up close you might change your mind. It looks very pretty from a distance / on camera but in reality it just looks really cheap. I don't want to put you off buying it but it screams " I can't afford better quality so I got a cheap imitation". But by all means, get it if you're happy with how it looks. x

I have always bought my pyjamas from next, they might be slight pricy but I have had two pairs that have lasted me literally years, I’ve had them for four years, they wash well and they don’t shrink, honestly couldn’t recommend enough x

Do be careful tho - seen too many warnings about pound shop chargers catching fire ! I got mine from Amazon - an Amazon branded one. It was a little dearer, but I do feel much safer leaving it charging overnight x
Roisin Kennedy Gill that’s a shame, I’ve been using it for my iPhone XS Max and it’s absolutely fine. You’ve got to expect the battery to become worse over time anyway so it’s probably the age of the phone rather than the charger.

I have a story about primark water bottles. So I bought this huge one and it actually made me drink a lot more water. So on this day my school bag was apparently reallyyyyy heavy so I dropped it when I got into maths and the whole bottom of the bottle smashes off and it was full and 2nd period. It was an actual nightmare and I am never buying a water bottle from primark again

Pink hat looks very nice. I got one in black and pink shimmer checked design. And bras from there are real great and wash very well with some beautiful designs and they got super pj's now too. Love the video 👍
Primark candles are really nice as a decrotive item but I agree with Claire there smell disapears rather quickly and is nowhere near as strong smelling as Yankee or bath and body works candles; but they are ovbiously a cheaper fix if thats what you want. :)
I used to spend over a hundred pounds in Primark every month without fail and now I completely stopped going there. Their garments are so poorly made, they fall apart after being worn a few times. And we're not even talking about discoloration and shrinking in the wash...etc, etc. A total waste of money. If you're on a budget, add a couple more quid and get a much better item from H&m. 99% of Primark stuff are disposable unfortunately. Perhaps it's good for fast fashion and it is inexpensive. However, if you go there often and spend a lot of money then it's not worth it because most things you purchase from there will end up in the bin very quickly. Just my opinion. A genuine one though!
Yeah I agree the only things I buy are pyjamas and blankets . Occasionally I will be some home clothes but I never wear their products out of the house
I dont burn Primark candles either. Well, I did with a few and your friend is right. It doesn’t really smell alot. When I burned the candle down I use the container for storing brushes, makeup etc.
If you can’t get rid of body odour try rubbing bio/non-bio (whatever you use) on it first before washing and the just wash as normal, my mum does this to my teenage brothers t-shirts! xxx
This is so great. I love this ‘what to buy and not to buy’ video. So much more useful than the ‘haul’’ videos. Will always keep a lookout for them in the future. PS; matalan is good for cheap pjs. If you want to spend a bit more Debenhams would be my favourite go to shop for ‘posh pjs’
I agree with the aesthetics of Primark candles however the fragrance is not as concentrated as the scent leads you to believe. I also think the selection of scents is quite poor but what can you expect when you're paying £3 I guess! P.S I love that pink hat!!
No. Absolutely not. Mine smell all the way to the bottom. Remeber you get used to the smell after a while. Just go outside for a walk and when you come back in you'll be amazed by the scent. That's how noses work.

tbh i genuinely prefer primark candles to my yankee candles cause i think they burn better and scent my room more nicely, i think if you put the lid on when you’re not burning it it really helps! but each to their own. thanks for this video :)
Loved this video, never watched you before! Love the pink blanket! Just a tip on bobbly clothes, I got a little tool like basically shaves the bobbles off really easily (I think they are called a 'de-fuzzer'), I've brought a few jumpers back to life with one of those. :)
Hi Lucy. Love your videos. I can highly recommend the jogging bottoms. I bought them together with the matching hoodies and sweatshirts for my daughter for college last winter. They wash well, hold their shape, don't need ironing and still look new. The defusers are good too. She uses them in her room at uni.
I have tried the primark £5 jogging bottoms and they are great until you put them in the wash, they start to bobbly up. Pretty much like the primark sweaters however I still wear them around the house :)
The "velvet leggings" are amazing!! wear them every day to school and they keep me warm and are not see through. My friends and family love them xx they are different to the cost leggings xx
The Poundland phone cables that have the weaved fabric round tend to last well. Also I pick up cotton pads and cotton buds in the baby section as they are way cheaper than the beauty aisle in supermarkets

That throw is coming home with me 😍 it’s so pretty. I got the new reed diffuser from the Christmas range... I can’t even smell it in my living room so I wouldn’t recommend either. I love the hat with the bow too, I need that in my life 💕
For the tights - they have different colours on them depending on the thickness - the pair you showed are quite low down so are supposed to be that thin
I LOVE this kind of video! - Your hair and makeup are so great. - LOVE the pink in your room! - You know, I really despise Primark pants. They're either utterly massive in the legs, or they're bloody TINY. And they always seem to fade/rip easily. I prefer Tesco's boyshorts, they last aaaagesss. - I've purchased a total of two Primark candles and was so disappointed by them. The smell completely disappeared after one burning, and that wasn't even my olfactory sense getting used to the smell. It just became nonexistent. - I was going to get those cosy leggings, so glad I didn't now! - I love the second hat on you! The first one has a Mario Bros. vibe to it somehow! I'm a bigger chick and I find that a lot of Primark's tops and jumpers come up super short, even when they're my size. They're wider than they are long, haha. I think I might have to stop by Primark tomorrow and try those makeup wipes and that pegboard!
I agree in most of the items, the knickers, gosh NO, it's like wearing kiddy undies lol (but I do get the full size ones for you know monthly, but after couple of use they need to be thrown away, they start coming away) A NO NO to the diffusers, don't bother with them, you have to bring it up to your nose to smell anything! Love the second hat with bow, might have to get one! I do love the throw, it's so pretty but a bit too pricey for Primark, Primark now think they are high branded high street store lol and still no website... You are looking gorgeous as always! 😍
There is no website because the price of a warehouse to stock all the stock they carry and for the demand would be so expensive. Plus a lot of primark stores would end up closing like every others high street store that has a online website you can buy from because people would just buy online. As for the prices going up, yes some items do cost more,that is the way retail works, but where else on the high street can you get a T-shirt for £1.80 or a top for £2, it still has its bargains.
The diffusers actually do work. I was abit sceptical about them aswell so I thought I would try one as it was only £1. I got the pink lemonade and it works wonders! I use to buy my diffusers from body shop but they’ve stopped doing them
With the stensals ur supposed to put them on ur eyebrows colour it in with black eyeliner then pluc or wax of the hairs that aren’t coloured in. I tried the primary ones would recomend
The grey hat with the bow looks lovely on you Lucy. Primark are great for some basic things I really, like their bedding, hair clips bedsocks & homeware is really affordable. But the small £1.50 diffuser is rubbish, I've bought two in the past, but unless they are situated in a small space (I used them in my toilet which is only small) you get no lasting smell. X

I always get the long sleeved tops from primark, as I have noticed some of them are different materials, the grey one in your video I agree are definitely not worth it, they also bubble out abit after washing, however they also do a more thicker smooth material type long sleeve with I would 100% recommend
Loved this video!!! I get the leggings for 3 pounds and I feel they are a good bargain!and for that price if they last a few months your ok! Off subject a bit but I was in homesense on Saturday near lakeside, I was walking past the area where all the lovely little dining chairs are, a lady was in there she bought the whole lot :0 were talking 12 or more, there was a lovely crushed velvet and dimonte cushion in there I thought to myself if you had seen that you would of picked it up quicker than anything! I love the men's joggers for wearing around the house there so comfy 😍 and men's hoodies lol... haven't tried their big candles but I've used the tealight candles and they smell lovely for a long time ... I love PMs home stuff I've got the Jersey bedding set there like a jogging bottom material and it really comfy snuggled up in your bed ... love that throw that's going straight in my basket!

It seems like they spray the top of their candles with the scent and after its evaporated, it literally has no smell x
Cheap candles only have scented wax in the top inch the rest is just scentless that's why after awhile you can't smell it

Hi Lucy. Love your videos. I can highly recommend the jogging bottoms. I bought them together with the matching hoodies and sweatshirts for my daughter for college last winter. They wash well, hold their shape, don't need ironing and still look new. The defusers are good too. She uses them in her room at uni.
I have tried the primark £5 jogging bottoms and they are great until you put them in the wash, they start to bobbly up. Pretty much like the primark sweaters however I still wear them around the house :)

I agree with Claire about candles! They are pretty though and smell nice before they are burnt :)
The "velvet leggings" are amazing!! wear them every day to school and they keep me warm and are not see through. My friends and family love them xx they are different to the cost leggings xx
The Poundland phone cables that have the weaved fabric round tend to last well. Also I pick up cotton pads and cotton buds in the baby section as they are way cheaper than the beauty aisle in supermarkets
i find it funny that you make a video on what to get and what not to get when some things you have not even tried, eg. the candle

Such a great video lucy ! Primark candles I think are fabulous smell lovely as display and your room will smell lovely too of you burn them. I loved the blanket/fruit bowl and vase ! X
That throw is coming home with me 😍 it’s so pretty. I got the new reed diffuser from the Christmas range... I can’t even smell it in my living room so I wouldn’t recommend either. I love the hat with the bow too, I need that in my life 💕

For the tights - they have different colours on them depending on the thickness - the pair you showed are quite low down so are supposed to be that thin
Glade candles are amazing. The brand glade. It’s sold everywhere. I get mine from Morrison’s.

- You know, I really despise Primark pants. They're either utterly massive in the legs, or they're bloody TINY. And they always seem to fade/rip easily. I prefer Tesco's boyshorts, they last aaaagesss.
- I've purchased a total of two Primark candles and was so disappointed by them. The smell completely disappeared after one burning, and that wasn't even my olfactory sense getting used to the smell. It just became nonexistent.
- I was going to get those cosy leggings, so glad I didn't now!
- I love the second hat on you! The first one has a Mario Bros. vibe to it somehow!
I'm a bigger chick and I find that a lot of Primark's tops and jumpers come up super short, even when they're my size. They're wider than they are long, haha.
I think I might have to stop by Primark tomorrow and try those makeup wipes and that pegboard!
I agree in most of the items, the knickers, gosh NO, it's like wearing kiddy undies lol (but I do get the full size ones for you know monthly, but after couple of use they need to be thrown away, they start coming away)
A NO NO to the diffusers, don't bother with them, you have to bring it up to your nose to smell anything!

Kay Kay i think those throws are pricey but you literally couldn’t get them cheaper, they’re really expensive to produce!
There is no website because the price of a warehouse to stock all the stock they carry and for the demand would be so expensive. Plus a lot of primark stores would end up closing like every others high street store that has a online website you can buy from because people would just buy online. As for the prices going up, yes some items do cost more,that is the way retail works, but where else on the high street can you get a T-shirt for £1.80 or a top for £2, it still has its bargains.
The diffusers actually do work. I was abit sceptical about them aswell so I thought I would try one as it was only £1. I got the pink lemonade and it works wonders!
I use to buy my diffusers from body shop but they’ve stopped doing them
I have the eyebrow pencil and it’s amazing. I love it, use to every time I do my makeup.
With the stensals ur supposed to put them on ur eyebrows colour it in with black eyeliner then pluc or wax of the hairs that aren’t coloured in. I tried the primary ones would recomend
Avon pjs are a must have especially the Disney ones

The grey hat with the bow looks lovely on you Lucy. Primark are great for some basic things I really, like their bedding, hair clips bedsocks & homeware is really affordable. But the small £1.50 diffuser is rubbish, I've bought two in the past, but unless they are situated in a small space (I used them in my toilet which is only small) you get no lasting smell. X

I always get the long sleeved tops from primark, as I have noticed some of them are different materials, the grey one in your video I agree are definitely not worth it, they also bubble out abit after washing, however they also do a more thicker smooth material type long sleeve with I would 100% recommend

Off subject a bit but I was in homesense on Saturday near lakeside, I was walking past the area where all the lovely little dining chairs are, a lady was in there she bought the whole lot :0 were talking 12 or more, there was a lovely crushed velvet and dimonte cushion in there I thought to myself if you had seen that you would of picked it up quicker than anything!

I love the men's joggers for wearing around the house there so comfy 😍 and men's hoodies lol... haven't tried their big candles but I've used the tealight candles and they smell lovely for a long time ... I love PMs home stuff I've got the Jersey bedding set there like a jogging bottom material and it really comfy snuggled up in your bed ... love that throw that's going straight in my basket!
