I've had my LG set for over 17 yrs.. its literally their first steam sanitary set. Ive had few issue's with stupid things like drain hose or foot screws rusted.. but... nothing i couldn't fix myself. I clean the vent tube every yr by taking it apart and hosing it out. I've taken my dryer panel off to clean access lint if there is any( none in 17 yrs) it drys hot and i love the steam for pillows etc... hint put a bit of fabric softener inside.. n they come out sanitized and smell amazing and they barely need drying. I do our pillows every 6 months. I am so happy with my Tromm motor. I spent $3500.00 on the set and its the best money ever spent.. I've had a samsung fridge and its barely 2 yrs old its a lemon.. my next one will be an LG. Thanks for the spin tip.. i never knew this.. i know much more but that was a new one!
Glad to hear we're not the only ones having issues with Samsung fridge. Cheap sensors going out to ice makers breaking. Need new washer and dryer left our old junk set to our home buyers. Had Kenmore frontloader for years finally died by tearing itself apart, got a GE one and same thing happened but in a year. Last one was top loader impeller and worked well. So now need to order a new set, thank you for taking the time to share review/info, really helps!😊
I live in London UK. I have only ever used Front Loaders. They are fantastic. Wash well. When visiting my relatives in the states and using their top loaders, the clothes seem to come out with more creases. I just prefer front loaders. I also own LG turbo wash. Brilliant machine but it takes a while getting use to the settings.
Doesn’t wash everything out though. If your the kind of person to have tons of dirt and grime or even medium heavy stains… The front load washer my parents had 10 years ago wouldn’t get them out, even with the heavy duty wash. I’d have to re wash them again. But soon after I moved out and got a top load with agitator in it, and only had to worry about hitting start. Didn’t have to worry about stains or dirt and grime, it got it all out. Now I have a top load with a removable agitator that whirlpool makes. Comes with all the bells whistles like steam settings. Now I can wash my king size sheets in my washer and dryer.
But it’s whirlpool. They absolute garbage. Also front loaders have come a long way especially Lg, they clean the dirtiest loads on even the normal cycle
LG is awesome but I'm always open to other new innovations by other brands. I did some research on which new washer I needed after my last LG model went down after 15+ years. I looked at the different brands on the market but then always came back to the LG models. Well, I ordered this bad boy today and this video makes me feel better about my purchase. I guess it's all up to the test uses now. We shall see but it's LG, lol. I'm sure I will like it.
This is reassuring, I'm in the exact same boat, had a kenmore which lasted me 15 years but it finally died and in my research I keep coming back around to LG
@@saggypantsandsquats460 Never tried a Kenmore washer but from what you mention it seems pretty durable for 15 yrs. usage. Yeah-I figure it was best to go with what has worked. I never really had any issues with my old LG model over the years until recently when it started making some strange grinding noises and wouldn't spin anymore. Called a local appliance repair shop and the guy told me it most likely had something to do in with the drum bearings. Replacement/labor cost for it would run me 600-700 dollars. Welp, I figure it was better to trash it. It's been a great long run lol. I figure anything that works over 15 yrs. without any major issues is an excellent brand.
whats better the WM 3600, WM3900, WM4200. and whats the differnce between the 4000 and 4200. thanks trying to decide the 4000 isnt offered at my costco
He meant 4000, with the turbo wash feature. It was the second washer he reviewed. He came back to it at the end of the video because it’s the best overall. His review was exactly what I needed. I was going to buy the 3600 but for $100 more, the 4000 offers the speed cycle and steam. I’m in Southern Calif and Home Depot has the best prices right now thru 6/9/21 for the white set ($1596 for the set, savings of $502).
Always buy LG washing machine, the first one last only 5 years, the 2nd one last 7 years..so i decided to buy different brand, the best washing machine, "Miele" lasted 20+ years
0:36 Oh, OH! I know the answer -- a STAINLESS STEEL SPIDER SUPPORT to connect the inner drum to the bearing shaft! Oh, dang, except that every manufacturer these days makes them out of cast aluminum so they'll only last as long as the warranty period.
Consumer Alert! I purchased a front loader manufactured by LG in late june. In july the front seal developed cracks. LG has not honored it´s waranty in more than 3 weeks of being notified. CONSUMER BEWARE!
Yeah! Right!!!! One of our Samsung washers exploded, and they were asking about our house model number or something instead of actually solving the issue, and only when we got extremely angry that they finally gave in, and they told us that to fix this it would cost 800 dollars, never buy Samsung again!!!
@@wellszhou8286 that's bad luck but nothing is perfect in life and there are always a few rogue products from time to time from any manufacturer. You were unlucky sadly.
... "wahrshing" machines? ... perhaps that's why market- leader Speed Queen is not mentioned ... they only make great "washers" ... oh ... & because Speed Queen will not sell thru big box stores ... only indies....
The WM line of washers are LOUD. The inverter sounds like a high pitched turbine, when it fills with water it is like a loud hissing fire hose, water valves cause thumps thru the water lines in your house. Don’t buy this LOUD washer. Our 20 year old Frigidaire was way quieter.
Not entirely.. it depends on brand. I'd never be able to wash my cali king down comforter and linens. Also the adjitator destroys your clothes. Just let the washer air out... top loaders are always open.. so keep your front loader open too! You can buy a door holder or use a rolled up rag and put it in the liner... also clean your liner often esp. If you have pets.. hair builds up in all washers
We bought a top of the range LG machine and it was the worst decision we ever made. despite the largest size drum the clothes always came out tangled and creased. After a years use, it developed a fault which turned out to be a burned out heating element. LG customer service is absolutely appalling. 6 weeks after we reported the fault to LG, the machine still hadn't been repaired. We then gave up and purchased a more reliable and more efficient German made machine. Do not be fooled by Turbo wash, yes it is quick but does not wash, rinse or spin efficiently. DO NOT BUY LG, you will regret it forever!
Front load washers seem designed to only last 5-7 years. I've had 2 front loaders so far (Maytag Neptune and a GE) - both lasted around 6 years. The tub bearing went bad on both and the repairs were very close to the cost of a new one. I'm shopping for a replacement for the GE now.
@@darrinmc my first set, a Kenmore, lasted almost 20 years. I’m hoping my new LG does the same. You cannot overload. Use the correct HE detergent. Always leave the washer door open to air out between loads.

Such a great review I just got the lg 4000 and can’t wait to get it I feel very confident in my decision since seeing your video
Use it with powder detergent. It says so in the manual. Liquid detergent dissolves fabric. I only use it for prewash.
Thank you.
Based on my experience, LGs are the best hands down. Other brands can't even match when it comes to steam cleaning power.
With Turbo Wash can the recirculating pump and lines get clogged with lint and pet hair over time or is there a filter for the recirculating pump?
My favorite is Whirlpool.. My childhood Whirlpool lasted over 35 years.
Times have changed. Whirlpool makes plastic trash now
Thanks for clarifying if they stackable
