I have both the original and the AE. They are very familiar when using the silver nozzle. The gold nozzle is just a no for me. It seems to me that it was hastily tuned to just be bright. The rest of the sound signature outside of the upper mids and treble wasn't adjusted to compensate for the boost. Due to this, the gold nozzles come across as shrill and piercing. I'm all for options and tuning nozzles, but only when it's well thought out and done well. The AE is still worth it just for the 4.4mm option. I also may tinker with the gold nozzle and try to mod with that nozzle.
Well said, you've covered almost everything. I'm not a fan of the gold nozzle either, despite its improvement in detail. The main advantages of the AE are the color and, as you mentioned, the cable. For an additional $10 or so, it's a reasonable upgrade. Keep us posted on your results with the gold nozzle mod.
Currently, the price difference between the original version and the AE is around $10. If balanced cables are available at that price (or if someone already has a balanced cable), then of course it’s a great choice. For someone purchasing the Delci new and wanting to use a balanced 4.4mm cable, the AE is a reasonable alternative.
With the silver nozzle, they sound similar, the Delci AE sounds slightly warmer with more bass which makes it more fun and engaging. Similar level of detail.
The EA500 offers better bass quality and better technicalities, but it also has a brighter sound with a more intense upper mid-range. On the other hand, the Delci has a well-balanced mid-range, making it versatile and easy to enjoy with any genre without any issues.

Thanks for the emphasizing the difference between AE and OG Delci and helping a lot of people not have FOMO 😅
Happy to help!
Nice detailed review..🫡🫡🫡
Thank you 🙂
Good review mate, I am also planning to get this one. Looks like an interesting set.
Thanks!
For the price difference between the old to the new, you can buy a good quality 4.4 cable for the original.
Yep I got a nice graphene xinhs 4.4 cable for mine.

I'm also a bit treble sensitive, so the gold nozzle doesn't look good for me. But yeah, appreciate the versatility.
👍
How does it compare with tangzu x hbb xuan nv?
I haven't listened to the Tangzu x HBB Xuan NV so I can't comment on its sound.
Can you compare it with tanchjim 4u

@@Atechreviews thank you. Can you also reach out to Timmy and ask him if he needs any Thai reviewer for his Gizaudio Thai channel?
This or the Shanling Sono?
I haven't had the chance to listen to the Shanling Sono, so I can't really comment on its sound.
