During senior year of high school, a friend and I would go to McDonalds during our free period. I'd always find a $5 in the laundry and use it to get 2 double cheesburgers, a large fry, and a large drink. Total came out to like $5.12 I think. I'm 36 now and much more shy and quiet. Anxiety pretty much runs my life lol. Great video as always, Ben! It's nice hearing about your life while you slam down a meal.
@@callingcaskets i’m assuming that was their way of saying that they can’t really go out much anymore or do what they did before because of their disorder. i could be wrong though edit: i think it’s actually in relation to ben talking about how shy he was as a kid. doesn’t seem as random now 😂
It was definitely the #2! #1 was the Big mac meal, #3 was the quarter pounder with cheese meal and #4 was the mcchicken meal. I worked there in the 90’s. 😂
Can relate so hard to that Korean phone call part. As someone who moved from Korea to Canada at age 5, my Korean skills are stuck at the level of a young child. Even though I can carry a conversation quite well, I'm way too self conscious to speak it half the time since I know I will make at least a couple mistakes. Definitely will just hang up the phone if they don't slow way tf down for me.
1:27 Them soda lids are dope. 2:03 One pickle WTFO 7:25 Homey made a Gordita 🌮🌯 When I was a kid in highschool, we would do Long John Silvers twice a year. Then it was back to pinto beans and cornbread.
Ben, I'm a grown ass woman that grew up as a shy kid as well. And I just wanted to say, I never grew out of having social anxiety. I still hate having to talk on the phone, especially with strangers. Wish my parents encouraged me more when i was a kid but not sure that would have done any good either. Anyways, you're not the only one 😅
Don't feel bad. I have almost social phobia phone is easy with people who aren't strangers, and internet chatting is easier for me that real interaction with strangers.
idk if im as grown but im 21 now and super independent, but I also grew up insanely shy and I still am. I literally bought a home gym a few months ago just so I didnt have to go to a public gym, which i had been going to for years lol. Like not bc i have issues w body image, just because i dont wanna go to a public place lol
I'm in the 50+ age range. I think the best decision I've made for myself was to resist technology (I will keep a phone and laptop until they cannot function anymore) and not to get into the social media space. Not being dependent on technology forced me to interact face-to-face with people. If I had all the latest tech gadgets, I would never come out of my apartment - and I don't want that to happen. And we all know about social media - you can be the person who discovers a cure for cancer, but there will still be a few keyboard warriors out there who will bash you just to bash you for no reason.
I had McDonalds on rare occasions too when I was a kid, my Father mostly always wanted home cooked meals, so it was a rare treat when we got it. But I'll never get tired of the nostailgia. I always thought you were kinda quiet as a kid but I never thought you were painfully shy but you don't really seem that way now. I was a pretty quiet kid too but found out later in life that it was more introversion.
dude watching you eat mcdonalds makes me want to go get some right now lmao i loved going as a kid my grandpa would take me and my brother he would always get hamburgers one of our last meals together was mcdonalds before he passed away but yea as a kid and to this day i get 6 piece nugs, a cheesburger, fries, and it used to be coke now its sprite
My way to go since childhood was a File-O-Fish and large friest with mustard. The perfect combo I still eat to this day, ngl no meat burger out there can beat fish and tar-tar flavor 👌🏻❤️
Ha I remember getting this #2 combo when I was in JHS too. My teacher liked to end school trips with lunch in McDonald's. I'm also old enough to remember supersizing it. I want to say the meal was only $4.29 when I was a kid too.
Two cheeseburger meal was pure classic. Year was 2005 and in Estonia the price for the meal was 2,7€. The two cheeseburger meal has not been on the menu for ages.
During COVID 2020-2022, my McDonalds in Atlanta, Georgia use to run a promotion for the "2 for 3". You could get 2 double cheeseburgers, or 2 6 piece McNuggets, or one of each for 3 dollars. Then for some reason during that time, there was always a free large fry coupon everyday on the app. So for 3.24 after tax, you could get 2 double cheese burgers, and a large fry. If you were feeling spicy, you could get a large coke too for 1 dollar extra. Man I miss those days..
I remember two pickle slices, but even though I ate pickles we always ordered my burgers without them. I refused to eat a burger with pickles on it. I was weird. I can relate.
Ben, please continue sharing details about your life and childhood. Your viewers love it 🤗🤗🤗.

Why don't u just sit down and read some novels, and emerse yourself into the language to become proficient.
Love ya Ben. Love to all the “weird kids”. You don’t have to fit any mold okay? You’re good the way you are ❤

"alright, i gotta go"
imagined him just hanging up on an important phone call in the middle of the sentence because they're talking too fast 😂

they have the snack wrap in korea? catch me on a flight
bruh the 2 cheeseburger meal was it about the same exact time period for me
McDonald’s coke and sprite are truly the best the carbon ratio with the syrup is on point
I remember two pickle slices, but even though I ate pickles we always ordered my burgers without them. I refused to eat a burger with pickles on it. I was weird. I can relate.
I can totally relate to avoiding interaction and speaking on the phone.
I’d really appreciate The Food Review you had… Thanks 😋🍽
You should hit up five guys, it opened pretty recently near my area but its probably a nightmare to get into right now.
Lol, parents, beware: Using McDonald's as a treat or reward teaches your kids the wrong thing and will hook them for life. 😂
The fact that the rest of the world has snack wraps still makes me want to go into full depression.
Damn my meal was number 2 no pickles with a sprite. And I was painfully shy lol. Definitely used to be two pickles on there
1:55 I used to work at Maccie's; always one pickle on a single cheeseburger; doubles, and the rest, get two 👍🏻
Hmmmmmm….
I use to eat the burger the exact same way lol.. and yes they definitely use to have 2 pickles on their burgers lol
I remember it as combo #2 as well.
Could be a touch of the tisms? Sounds a lot like my childhood, weird quite kid 😂
I like when Ben gets McDonald’s. Some of my favorite videos
You and my son, love the same order. 👍🙂
