These people see the world in the way it should be seen. Every day people with sight do nothing but endless judgement on the look of things. Nobody sees real beauty.
Every time someone looks at me at school, they look at me in disgust. Not enough people are grateful to see color, look at flowers, find someone without hesitation. I'm glad that these people are able to live their lives without complaining about how they want to live normally. We need to realize there's more than meets the eye, and these people describes it perfectly. Enjoy our eyes, while you still have them. Don't go harassing innocent people because of their looks, race, religion, etc. Don't stand by while some innocent person is accused of things that they might not have done because they look like a hooker or something.
I love the blind because they never judge anyone based on looks. They judge based on the kind of person you are. They can understand beauty the way its meant to be, not based on appearance or what others might say beauty is.
+Ruth Ortega I somewhat disagree. I personally don't think that there is anything wrong with seeing beauty, in people, in objects. But, I do see where you are coming from.
+hyu munu she didn't say it's wrong to find physical appearance beautiful, she just said she loves that the blind don't base their opinions on that, and judge people because of that.
Beauty to me is feeling a real connection with another human. Sharing their laughter and love, feeling peace surrounding me and the warm swirling spark of happiness in my gut. It's everything you FEEL inside your bones, and sight is just a fraction of that experience.
sight isn't just a fraction of beauty but a huge part of it, connection's with others humans is beautiful but there's not only that, seeing a landscape, the sun the color, a movie, a baby an animal and painting etc saying all those things are insignificant is madness
I honestly think if society followed the standards that the blind people set for beauty our world would improve a million times over, yes they are blind but that doesn't stop them from seeing things i will never get to see
Of course, we're extremely visual and visually-dependent creatures, so it's hard to put visual aspects aside, but this definitely made me think. Beauty is deeeeefinitely so so SO much more than what something looks like. This was a beautiful video. :)
I cant help but feel so bad for blind people because they never get to see the blue sky or the leaves change color in the fall. Sometimes it makes me wanna curl up in a ball and cry
This almost made me cry. I thought I will be like meh, I'm just going to sympathise them. But when the guy said that beauty is about experiences, like the smell of cookie I think of people, like me, who can see the world and thought, simplicity is something we should have to feel happy.
i did cry.. i realized how mamy things i dont notice every day ... and how happy i am when i do .. like all those little things they mentioned ..(excuse my inglés )
Blind people are the best of us, in my opinion. You're not judged by the clothes you wear, or how you present yourself. You're judged by the things you say, the way you act, the ones you know and love. There's no way of telling what color your clothes are or what color the clothes of others are. Blind people see clearer than anyone with normal vision. They learn to see the beauty past what is explicit, they experience the sounds and feels of life, the things that people who can see will never experience. Respect everyone around you and live a life free of judgement.
These people are such beautiful people. I could never cope with being blind. Just the thought of not knowing what was around me makes me so overwhelmed I want to cry. Bless these people.
I wanna hug them all specially that blond guy omg to think someone actually loves the way he is. I can't even freaking walk for 1 minute without my eyes open I feel so sad and lost and he thinks it's a blessing... how wonderful is that man
A quick message to everyone in the comments asking why "the blind guy is wearing glasses." The blind can wear glasses to protect their eyes, as they are more fragile and susceptible to damage than ours. They can be easily hurt, but glasses provide a decent barrier that also looks normal to be worn.
My classmate always judges me by my looks because I'm different and i wear weird clothes, but my friends say i have a wonderful personality. One day the bully said i looked like a pig and i was so sad, until my brother showed my this video, and know i feel happy, because even blind people have better feelings for persons who aren't perfectly slim and beautiful like me, even though there are amazing people out there who have same struggles! Sorry for bad english i'm not English.
When I was in primary school I went to a tiny school and I would always get bullied by the boys and a this girl that had a lot of problems in her house. Now I understand why she would bully me. Anyway, they would always make fun of me for my hight, and my hair color. I'm super small and I have honey brown hair. When I left that school I grew up super s of conscious about how I looked. And seeing this video has helped me a lot :)
I'm crying so hard right now, like you know english isn't even my native language but I feel so bless to be able to understand what they said because it's so beautiful and I wish I will never forget what they said they are brave people and I think they learned to change their "handicap" in a advantage and I just want to hug them and thanks them because in just 2min they learned me more meaning things than I can learn in one year. I wish everybody could think this way but I guess it's just a dream :)
So you needed to see a video of Blind people speaking about invisible beauty to learn that there's other beauty in the world that eye's can't see ? wow you're special
To be completely honest, I wouldn't mind losing my eyesight, because like the blind, I tend to find beauty through other senses, like hearing music. Now if I ever were to lose my hearing, I would probably go insane. A world without music is too much to bear for me. (No intentional offense, if you're deaf)
I'm not blind, but the way they perceive people is the way a person should be looked at, and i try my best to look at people that way, I once heard looks may catch the eye, but personality catches the heart.
Bobby Joe haha! I still cannot believe I got to collab with them. Amazing! So many opportunities came up for me recently, I'll be on Channel 4 on Tuesday night, have an interview with my national T.V station (RTE) about potential presenting opportunities etc & so many other things...meanwhile, I'm trying to finish uni. AHHH! Thank you for subscribing!
Bobby Joe it's still unreal to me as I'm pretty new to TH-cam, too! 4 million views almost, that's shocking. Ireland is so small that's probably the entire population of Irish people in the whole world haha! Cool though :)
My eyes couldn't be better, yet the most beautiful things I've experienced haven't been seen but heard through music. Most of the things these people describe are exactly what beauty is to me.
Beautu for me is waking up extra early on a summer morning and walking without shoes through a pathway or park feeling the grass and watching as nature and the world awakens with bursts of color, and sound, even smells I love doing that. I havent in a long time I think I will this weekend.
To be honest,I envy blind people in a way.I envy deaf people in a way.I envy the ones who can't walk. Why?So simple. They just have no prejudices towards other people like most of the people do.They feel the essential of a human being, something people world wide forgotted how to.For example,I cry from time to time cuz I can't change that I have skinny legs,or that I am tall,or that my hair grows too slowly,or that I can't afford some clothes,or that I can't go somewhere cuz I know people would point out things I don't want them to point out, like my height,my body weight,I struggle every day to live up to other people's expectations, and FOR what? Because of what? I am fighting to look better for people who don't know me,who will never know me. And not to mention love .. People became so worthless to one another,so easy to replace.Shallow, and throwing one another into desperation and depression, and eventually,we all are looking for what these people feel at first about one another. True essence.I am deeply ashamed after watching this. To be honest,I think I am a great person, for my own damn bad luck.I expect people to behave just like I behave towards people. But it never happens. I truly truly envy people who cannot feel these disgusting feelings that most of people around the globe are blinded by and corrupted with.
I have never thought about enjoying the sounds of birds or the waves or to enjoy the beauty of feeling grass underneath me and the sound it makes when I step on it. I think I take all these beautiful things for granted. It's sad because time will pass by and it would be too late for me to realize the beauty around me. It is truly up to us to make beauty out of everything. I think blind people are more blessed than I am. But ultimately I thank god for giving me the gift of sight. I'll make sure to use my other senses and not just my eyes from now on!!!
They're more blessed than we are.... You don't realize what you say here blindness is a terrible disability that makes you unable to see and live so many important great things. If you can't see other beauty than the one your eyes gives you maybe the problem isn't your sight but you... And tell me why you would use your other sense I . what occasion you will use less your sight but more your hear ? When you walk outside you hear and see and that's perfect I don't know what you wanna hear more than what you already hear.... Sight is our primary sense it's normal we use it more than the other's that doesn't mean we don't use others...
I think that the blind perceive greater beauty than we do. Instead of judging by our looks, they know and feel and judge us by our heart, our mind, and our personality. And that's beautiful.
Just goes to show that even though these people cannot see beauty through their own eyes, doesn't mean they are unable to experience beauty through their other senses; just goes to show that people can still be happy with what they already have.
"When i see close my eyes i see a gentle light, i have no concept of the colour." That blew my mind and I'm not really sure why. I think its because I have always known what colours look like and the idea of not knowing is just so alien to me that i can't really comprehend it.
This made me cry. The truth is, I don't think anybody feels truly beautiful, I know that I don't feel anything close. The fact that these people love somebody for who they are inside, instead of the disgusting standard of "beauty" we've set, is truly touching.
they are blind, but they can see more than us. it makes me cry, that's so emotional to see their vision of the beauty, all the respect they have for humanity or the world, and how much they feel blessed. thank you to all of them.
Beauty to me is pureness, when people care, when people love. There really is no other way i can explain this. this Really touched me. Everyday i used to this that I was ugly, but now beauty on the outside doesnt matter to me anymore, beauty on the inside is what counts. NEVER JUDGE YOURSELF. LOVE YOURSELF.
They see the true souls, the essence of all feelings and get through all prejudices we are imposed though sight and physical standard. In a way, you all blind people are privileged, you are so poetic in your words that makes me feel warm again...
Wow, it's amazing how we can take things like this for granted. We complain about stupid things, when we are so lucky to even see! Watching this video made me remember how blessed I am to have sight, or really, everything. I'm thankful to be alive! Even though sometimes I think I'm better off dead. The point is, be grateful. Please.
Beauty doesn't depend on your looks. Being beautiful to society is having flawless skin, hairless legs, the "being pretty" standards to our society is looking "good". All beauty is, is how you act. What you are. The common saying "what's on the inside is what counts", is more true than it seems. I bet that most people think that your attitude and being yourself is more beautiful than looking like a Photo shopped supermodel. I know I do. You can't judge a book by its cover, although everyone does. Even I do. But you have to know someone first to make your judgment on them. Even then we might think that someone is mean, or rude, or nasty, and yet we still haven't seen the real them. If you agree let me know
Whilst this is true, our judgements are based on first impressions, which is a survival instinct. Therefore, it cannot be stopped. However, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try and surpress it in some way. I agree with you completely. :)
Proof that you do not need your eyes to see how beautiful the world is. How beautiful nature is. You can see beauty simply by hearing smell and feeling. Beauty is an amazing feeling. This video is amazing
We often think that we are more blessed that those who are blind. But just through this video, without even seeing anything, they understand the world more than we do.
After watching this, I kind of wish everyone in the world was blind. If everyone were blind, no one would be bullied about appearance, no one would care about nationality, they'd judge each other on the true beauty. :)
think of the confusion, horror of all people going sudden blind in thr whole world a brief moment, there'd be alot of accidents, no work can continue since their blind, and deaths from car crash... no, it would be horrible if everyone was blind.
Trying to think of something beautiful. I can come up with the stereotypical things, such as a sunset, flowers, people getting along, and yes these things are beautiful, but to me the most beautiful thing I can think of is a person. She makes me feel all warm and fluttery inside. Makes me happy just to be in a room with her, to hear her voice. Yes, she is pretty but it's the person inside that makes her truly beautiful.
I was at a dance cometition in Florida and the hotel I was at was holding a blind people convention. It was really hard for me to be there because I know I have more than them and I can't share what I have with them. But my sister came over for the last 3 days and we were at the pool along with a bunch of blind people. I'm not very open to talking to new people but my sister is and she talked to some of them. I realized even with out their sight, they have extremely happy lives and help society in ways I never thought possible. I will always become sad when I see someone with a disability but now I know they can still be happy and that makes me happy
I cried so so much at this. Just look at how ungrateful people act today, and here is a blind woman not being able to see her children. A blind man saying his blindness is a blessing. THIS is beautiful.
I met a couple of older women (60's) who were sisters, and didn't know one of them was blind until a lot later, because she seemed to be able to see you when you were talking. She said she could see light, but that was all. She was the most genuine, warm and loving person I ever met. Her blindness came upon her gradually, due to getting hit by a car when she was a little girl. Her parents tried everything to get her vision back, but she was able to read braille, and later taught braille to other blind people and children. She also came to different children's hospitals to talk with children who were dying of cancer. She was such a loving person.
HenrikHollen Are you kidding? Blind people can have preferences. Things like tone of voice and the way they walk (pace and such) exist as desirable traits to blind people. The person I know who is blind has preferences for how their date's skin feels, how they touch them, and how they breathe. They can feel with their hands, too. I let them touch my face to feel what I sort of looked like. I bet there's something they can prefer there, too.
This shows sometime, inside is more important than outside. Some girl can be skinny, pretty, but who knows are they are the right person. For blind people, that doesn't matter, feelings are more important. Don't make society thinks who you are, but be who you are
I am blind, and listening to this video truly moved me. When you lose your sight, you have to start feeling the world instead of seeing it...in may ways. Do I wish I had not lost my sight...yes. However, I have just tried to find the gifts it has given me as well.
If they are smart, they would dislike this because they want to say to their blindness that she sucks and they want her to get out of their eyes. Or they are just bunch of hicks.
before i watched this video, I actually wrote a short story where I put myself in the shoes of a blind high school girl who is trying to understand what beauty is by asking other people.
This video has restored my faith in humanity. That there are people that can still appreciate what someone is like, not what they look like. Even if those people are blind.
I cried when the one lady started talking about her kids. It's so amazing that she'll never know what they will look like but she finds beauty in them.
Oh my gosh, when she said she doesn't even know what her daughters look like. .. help I'm gonna cry.
same :(
+Elizabeth Ashley SAME!!

how the blind see beauty is how it should be seen
true ♡
lol for me deaf people see it right xd
So true
Definitely
Brenda yes, I agree.
These people see the world in the way it should be seen.
Every day people with sight do nothing but endless judgement on the look of things. Nobody sees real beauty.
You don't even know how much I agree with you.
Every time someone looks at me at school, they look at me in disgust. Not enough people are grateful to see color, look at flowers, find someone without hesitation. I'm glad that these people are able to live their lives without complaining about how they want to live normally. Im goona try this
Kebabs Are Not Satan. im blonde, skinny, but i wear glasses, i think that helps me understand beauty. so dont judge a book by their cover.
RandomTXDude210 You know what I mean
People who can't even see, see the world better than we do, they see the way it should be seen.
Uzumaki Naruto You're right!
Uzumaki Naruto u said it so beautifully....thank you
Uzumaki Naruto Preach!
Yeah, it really puts stuff into perspective...
Ps. I LOVE NARUTO! Its my fav show!!!!! My fav is Sakura
just beautiful words..
I love the blind because they never judge anyone based on looks.
They judge based on the kind of person you are.
They can understand beauty the way its meant to be, not based on appearance or what others might say beauty is.

+Ruth Ortega That's why they are beautiful people.. ♥

I actually cried right from the start but it was more like... happy tears?
give'em eyes and they'll brutally kill each other for a penny. It doesn't matter what they say, read Draco Xorro's comment, he's 100% right.
Yeah me too i guess we are just thankful that we had eyes and just realizing what's like without one.
Irish Anne Ugat they do have eyes is just that is useless
I'm giving you your 200th thumb up, cause I agree.

Beauty to me is something pure. Nature. Something unaltered. The sound of the wind. The stars. Something that us humans have not altered.. yet :(

Pretty inspiring to hear the honest opinion of someone who hasnt been diluted with the media on what beauty looks like.

Blind people are the best of us, in my opinion. You're not judged by the clothes you wear, or how you present yourself. You're judged by the things you say, the way you act, the ones you know and love. There's no way of telling what color your clothes are or what color the clothes of others are. Amazingly inspiring.
Do people like you take 30 minutes on 1 comment? It's inspiring though.
Nicely written!
That is easy to say so long as you have your eyesight.
These people are such beautiful people. I could never cope with being blind. Just the thought of not knowing what was around me makes me so overwhelmed I want to cry. Bless these people.

There are levels of blindness. He may be able to see vague shapes or light but still be considered legally blind.
I cried when the woman was explaining how she thinks beauty is when she's on the shore just imagining what the beach and sky looks like.

I'm shocked at the dislikes... This was so touching. You could feel their happiness, pain, and power in their words.
when the guy who said that being blind is a blessing... made me start to cry.
This made me cry. You never really appreciate what you have until you see someone without it. These people are wonderful!
This video was so beautiful. Many of us take so many little things for granted.
"everyday is a feeling" how profound this video is
This is so beautiful, I wish all of us saw beauty this way.
The blind definitely sees beauty way better than people with sight.

I think that the blind perceive greater beauty than we do. Instead of judging by our looks, they know and feel and judge us by our heart, our mind, and our personality. And that's beautiful.
I feel that blind people appreciate the small things more in life. That thought is just beautiful to me. :)
Just goes to show that even though these people cannot see beauty through their own eyes, doesn't mean they are unable to experience beauty through their other senses; just goes to show that people can still be happy with what they already have.
I literally just started watching Fullmetal Alchemist today. What a coincidence.
Wow, I love how they can't see but they can see the truth, what is true beauty, they clearly know.
Preach!
what an eye opener (no pun intented)
I just want to hug every single one of them and say, "You're so amazing..."
I actually choked up during this video. There's so much to be learned from this.
We should be more like these people, they enjoy life even when they don't have what others do.
"When i see close my eyes i see a gentle light, i have no concept of the colour."
That blew my mind and I'm not really sure why.
"its a blessing" .. that was so touching, most people would probably complain if they were blind but these people seem grateful and happy :')
anyone else crying?
almost D':
Here I am...a teeny tiny tear
No
it hurts me to hear the mother say she doesnt know what her own children look like...
Me no care. When me baby me mother no see me
Me no care either nobody see me when I was baby. So you shat ap you spoiled shet
This made me stop and realize that we that can see are so "busy" with stuff that we sometimes forget the essence and beauty of life..
they are blind, but they can see more than us. it makes me cry, that's so emotional to see their vision of the beauty, all the respect they have for humanity or the world, and how much they feel blessed. thank you to all of them.
I kind of envy blind people. We that can see might see stuff we do not want to see...
They see the true souls, the essence of all feelings and get through all prejudices we are imposed though sight and physical standard. In a way, you all blind people are privileged, you are so poetic in your words that makes me feel warm again...
I agree with what you said, but if I was blind, I wouldn't even make it from my kitchen to my bed. I'm helpless without sight.
Naomi Davies Well, I do think that blind people has someone to help them
Naomi Davies you would cope.
Aura, frickin auras!!!
I teared up. It was emotional. And it was beautiful. Thank you.
Blind people smile even though they have never seen one :`)
Nikolaj Bolgann Its human nature.
Please.
this video was the most beautiful thing ever. beauty isn't looks, its character. sometimes I wish we could all see beauty like this.
I totally agree. Don't judge a book b y its cover.
totally agree
This was so beautiful! We take all this beauty in the world for granted.
If only all human beings could see beauty like these wonderful people. This coming from someone overweight and bullied a lot.
I love the effort and art the buzzfeed experts put into educating masses, and each video takes me on a roller-coaster of emotion.
Galaxy Gaze Only if there were a possible way...
Yeah, or we could try to find a way to make people be like that without blindness. c:
funny thing is .. most American's are blind, even if they can see. know what I mean jelly bean ?
And we'd all be dead. so.
Their idea of beauty is... beautiful.
Two and a half minutes of this is what it takes for me to cry...
Hearing them express themselves is beauty
Trying to think of something beautiful. I can come up with the stereotypical things, such as a sunset, flowers, people getting along, and yes these things are beautiful, but to me the most beautiful thing I can think of is a person. She makes me feel all warm and fluttery inside. Makes me happy just to be in a room with her, to hear her voice. Yes, she is pretty but it's the person inside that makes her truly beautiful.
I feel so bad I take this kind of stuff for granted, I'm gonna turn off my phone and the tv and go outside and look
Me 2!
How i see beauty: These people
I cried so so much at this.
It makes me tear up to see this, knowing some people in the world only care for what's on the inside. Sh
They kinda have no choice
HenrikHollen Are you kidding? Blind people can have preferences. Things like tone of voice and the way they walk (pace and such) exist as desirable traits to blind people. The person I know who is blind has preferences for how their date's skin feels, how they touch them, and how they breathe. They can feel with their hands, too. I let them touch my face to feel what I sort of looked like. I bet there's something they can prefer there, too.
They don't really have a choice, literally speaking.
This is so amazing and beautiful. . . I almost cried of joy. It makes my dad so much better and happier even though i'm commenting on Easter.
This shows sometime, inside is more important than outside. Some girl can be skinny, pretty, but who knows are they are the right person. For blind people, that doesn't matter, feelings are more important. Don't make society thinks who you are, but be who you are
Not sometimes, always. Inner beauty counts a lot more that than the beauty of someone's appearance
I think that just listening to their message with your eyes closed is the best way to feel the impact of their words.
I am blind, and listening to this video truly moved me. When you lose your sight, you have to start feeling the world instead of seeing it...in may ways. Do I wish I had not lost my sight...yes. However, I have just tried to find the gifts it has given me as well.
this is really inspiring!!! I wish everyone could/would "see" the world like this!!!
Maybe world will better place if we start to see with our heart and stop judging with our eyes.
Maybe it's best if we do both. But with care and due attention.
You are the first Pillow that has ever made sense in my life.
listen to your brain. Your heart is stupid.
I think we're all missing the point here now. T-T
Exactly
It is so terrible that people have to live without their eyesight. "But remember, god loves you and everything happens for a reason".
Beauty for me is a quiet evening reading with a family member, just talking, their voice sounds so warm and familiar, it's just nice to hear them
beauty is the sound of a band of choir, music the kind that pulls at your heart and leaves you wanting more.
how do people dislike this....
sometimes i just dont understand
If they are smart, they would dislike this because they want to say to their blindness that she sucks and they want her to get out of their eyes.
Or they are just bunch of hicks.
This video Gave me chills... Sometimes I freaking love people
before i watched this video, I actually wrote a short story where I put myself in the shoes of a blind high school girl who is trying to understand what beauty is by asking other people.
This video has restored my faith in humanity. That there are people that can still appreciate what someone is like, not what they look like. Even if those people are blind.
I cried when the one lady started talking about her kids. It's so amazing that she'll never know what they will look like but she finds beauty in them.
