I loved that Crewe Works engine you were driving at the end there. I imagine firing that was a lot easier on the back than the miniaturised standard gauge locos.
Lovely Tom. Nice to see Alex not dressing up for his Hols!!! For work he just dons a High Viz and he's away FULL SIZE. We defected to FULL SIZE today and sat behind Betton Grange at the Gloucester and Warwickshire Railway. What you can do with dedication, 27 years and 1,300,000 from savings. I got a tea towel 20 years ago which was wiped upon the hollowed footplate, it can never be washed. Love David and Lily. More work on the 01 in the A M.
Rewards at last after your previous soaking. Lovely loco with great detail, But never understand sticking an elbow in the exhaust. Yes, it keeps it away from the driver, but completely spoils the look and atmosphere. Wouldn’t be the same if you didn’t get a smut in your eye or a face full of steam. Great 3 days look forward to the full video.
I now it is not the best looking exhaust, but it dose a job of work keeping the smut out of my eyes, it is not fun having your eyes balls scraped with a Scalpel remove the smut?
The Black 5 was built by Dave Beaumont, a SMET member. It always looked good when it was based up at the Wester Pickston Railway. Still looks a treat!
You are correct the loco was built by him Thanks I have done my best to look after the loco and has given me many hours of pleasure

Nice. Used to run there every year with our scot. Gutted we couldn't make it this year

Gotta say, I do agree, although not my loco to decide with, but it really was a lovely loco to drive.

@@bryansharp-tn5zf no, I think I’ve been close to that before now too. Completely understand the need if it’s one that has a tendency to shoot sparks.
Hello! Can you tell me, which country is this service and experience in?
Good video, like😄
Tom have yo got the loco in second regulator
Barely got in first… lol. Miniatures don’t tend to have two stage regs like full size.
