Baking soda is hard to get out of the oven. You will think it is out, turn on your oven and then see a white caste all over your oven. So rinse it thoroughly.
This is why you use vinegar to get rid of it. The acid in vinegar will react with the soda, and make it foam and loosen up, then it's easier to get off.
@@stardusth2o I find it weird that "chemical" has come to mean only unhealthy or toxic chemicals, when really most of everything is chemicals. It's important to remember that not all chemicals are bad and many of them are extremely useful, and using the word in this way can cause people to turn away from anything that has "chemicals" in it, even if they're completely harmless
Dawn power wash. Spray, let it sit a while, then baking soda sprinkled on and a scrub daddy. If glass is really dirty use a flat razor scraper to scrape burnt on food residue
Put racks in trash bag. Add ammonia. 1/2 cup to 1 cup.Tie up tightly.Put in direct sunlight. That stuff wipes off so easily after a couple hours in the sun.Rinse with hose
I am PAST due for a deep clean, but bc I HATE using harsh sickness inducing chemicals, I am def gonna see if this will make a dent! Thanks for sharing!
Fun fact : every time the self clean has been used in my oven, it has burned out the temperature sensor making it non-operable cause it cant regulate its temp. The first time this happened was on christmas day. I had to put casseroles on my grill.
Commercially available aerasol oven cleaner is harmful health-wise to you and anyone in your home. Thanks for posting this informative video about a completely safe alternative, simple and inexpensive!
This is the second video I've seen saying to use baking soda to clean, then vinegar to clean off the baking soda. Must work. Gonna give this a try. Thank you, sir!
(Easy oven cleaning Ever). 👉Just turn on oven cleaning knob! 👈Follow stove cleaning setting,Leave racks inside. It Takes a couple hours. It will burn at high heat ,once finished you’ll be left with ashes. Once oven cools,Vacuum out ashes or/wipe with damp paper towels. Done! No messy, Cleaners.
Most oven doors are removable so you can more easily reach the inside. We just slide our oven out and clean the underside and backside at least once a year. Trust me you'll find that lost utensil or washrag and some cobwebs for sure.
Takes forever to wipe out the baking soda and I've never had success in getting the really burnt on grease. I do use the baking soda method just on the oven floor for a good wiping out sometimes.
I press the button on the control panel which says Clean Oven. Then I press the plus or minus sign to change the time of cleaning. Then I slide the door lock to the right and press start. After cleaning, I vacuum out the soot.
Just pull the oven away from the wall and mop the floor and clean the walls of the side of the oven. You will be surprised of how much grease of the buildup
Sodium bicarbonate (IUPAC name: sodium hydrogencarbonate), commonly known as baking soda or bicarbonate of soda, is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3. It is a salt composed of a sodium cation (Na+) and a bicarbonate anion (HCO3−).
This is for the people who don't want to worry about "chemicals" and also if they don't want to go out to buy Easy Off if they don't have it already In their defense, Easy Off is pretty nasty stuff if you accidentally breathe it in due to bad ventilation, I learned that the hard way.
That product is dangerous. You’re heating up left over fumes and they become extremely volatile. When you inhale those toxic VOCS, you can suffer neurological damage.
Pull that whole stove out from the wall and sweep and mop under there. Then go get a steamer and it will take all that off super easy with minimal cleanup.
You wipe it down again and again. And AGAIN. If you don't get it all off and you use the oven, then the bicarbonate becomes a burnt on residue that needs to be cleaned off.
This is for people who clean their oven often. I just cleaned mine the other day... probably been 8 years, AT LEAST since the last time I did it. There's no way baking soda and vinegar would have helped my situation. 😂
A chemical is any substance that has a defined composition. In other words, a chemical is always made up of the same "stuff." Some chemicals occur in nature, such as water. Other chemicals are manufactured, such as chlorine (used for bleaching fabrics or in swimming pools). Light, heat, and sound are not chemicals-nor are thoughts, dreams, gravity, or magnetism. You can't actually clean your oven without using chemicals, unless you have a self-cleaning oven that uses heat. Ignorance is not bliss.
@jenniferbellamy1862 yes, if you have that feature. Oven locks and get super duper hot for a few hours. Your house might smell so if you can do it at a time of year when you can open your windows, that's ideal.

That "Oh God" at the drawer was so real, I hate discovering what's fallen down there

Under the fridge too!!
After cleaning put aluminum foil on the bottom to catch whatever drips. It keeps the bottom from getting nasty.
Never doing this method again. Cleaning off the baking soda was super difficult and it leaves a white film on the finish and takes forever to remove.
Use vinegar
Thanks for sharing 😮
YES It really does!
Did you use vinegar?
@@quentinmckinley2083 I’ve tried with and without vinegar.
Also check if your oven door is removable, it makes the cleaning much easier
I love that you used the vinegar and the baking soda seperate
If you vacuumed food particles empty your vacume!
Rotting or molding food hiding in a vacuumed canister can make you sick.
It's burned up dried up food. Nothing will happen.
Sick with what exactly
"Chemical-free"
Sodium bicarb is one of the most important chemicals we have.

Wish someone would invent an oven that you get in there easily to clean...my poor back and legs when done😢🙄😮💨
Oven doors are removable to make access to the interior easier. Enter into your TH-cam search feature "How to remove an oven door" to learn how.
Yessss I don’t even clean mine. My guy complains about it all the time. Supposedly it’s my job since I cook 😂
But not! My knees won’t let me

I swear less than 5 mins ago (I’m moving) I said “I need to look up different ways to clean an oven” and this just popped up.. crazy work.
It’s not magic or coincidence. Our phones literally listen to our words and recommend what we say.
Yeah the phone secretly pick up information that we talk and Google about. It’s no coincidence.
Pro tip if you need to hand clean, many oven doors are easily removable. Makes cleaning inside much easier on the body

How would you clean in between the glass?

Add lemon works much faster but cheap lom juice with baking soda.

Cool. So, baking soda and vinegar are not chemicals?
This seldom works, you're better off getting an oven that can incinerate clean.
It hasn't worked for me.

Easy Off...Works Perfect!!!

Or you can use a scoring stick and water works amazing doesn't scratch the inside of the oven.I would use a SOS.Pad on the glass to avoid scratching
I get what you mean, but I find it hilarious that there are genuinely some people that absolutely despise using “chemicals”

Great solution. Now how about the cleaning between the glass panels of the door
Water is a chemical. People need to stop saying "chemical free"
My oven doesn't have a drawer and if it does I ignore it.
Chemical free what do you think vinegar and baking soda is
Or you could just turn on the self clean. After 5 hours, you open the oven, vacuum all the ashes, and wipe away.
