If you wanna save that truck from rust give it a good thick coat of fluid film once a year(inside/outside frame, inside doors, rockers, cab corners, remove taillights spray inside box panels). I run Toyota’s and live in the rust belt of Ontario, Canada, it’s the only way to keep the rust away and the trucks on the road.
@waynetharp a friend of mine has piles and piles of red and white oaks just smashed together. I cut whatever is convenient, don't separate it, and I stack it to season. When I get enough pallets I'll be switching to the bin method. It seems to work for Chris in his woodyard

A Tundra in The Tundra. Great find My late brother worked at a GM Dealership in Wilksnoro NC. All of his vehicles were trade ins from Grandma who only drove the vehicle on Sunday to church. My dad's sister asked me why Joe always had older cars. I said he is a mechanic who can spin a wrench with no payments. He sees no need for anything new, or the psyments. For a while, he had a run on Grand AMs. Used one for parts to keep three others running. Be careful or you might end up with al Al Roker Shart. True friendship when you can get gassed and still laugh. Two more years and I can get old plates on my 2006 Impala SS. 40,000 miles and never driven in snow or salt.
Least wise the road the dump was on 30 odd years ago, I have to explore a bit more the next time through town as I generally only stop to visit the cemetery now days.

Who would have thought in the early 70s with Toyota trucks being so small that they would turn out 50 years later to be equivalent to a full-size American truck.
Love those plastic bed liners. Saves so much wear and tear, not to mention rust. Pulled one out of an abused, overworked, 20yr old truck once. It was factory new underneath. Only con is load shift. Sometimes thats to an advantage though. You can stand at the tailgate and pull drag heavy stuff towards you.

Ive got 800 miles on it cause I'm always working, and i couldn't stand making it into a work truck until my other one dies. It's probably gonna be new for quite some time. They run forever, but at some point they become somewhat worthless because of the mileage. Might as well drive them till they are dead. Keep on cutting.
That's a great choice for a truck. Barring a collision with a yahoo driver that totals your or Ken's Tundra or my Tacoma, these trucks should outlast all of us 😊😊😊
Ken stacks it for good reasons. He has a few great customers that pick up and haul their own wood and buy 20-30 face cords every year and having the wood in stacks allows people to get what they want and Ken does not have to be there.

Hi Chris, your Kenny has his "head screwed on" as they say. A well maintained 20 year old pickup will haul wood every bit as good as a 2023/24 one costing thousands more. The money is better in Kenny's pocket than a dealership. Toyota have a good reputation the world over. Great video as always 😊

In our province vechicle needs to be 25 yrs old for "Collector Plates" my 95' GMC Sonoma has the collector plates can't have rust or body damage ,interior no damage etc! But insurance is cheap $300 for a year!
I believe that has a timing belt not a chain so if it hasn’t been changed it’s do, it’s also a interference engine so if the belt goes the piston smashes into the valves 😬
Any advice, I can’t seem to sell any wood this year. I Have it priced at $60 for 1/3 of a cord delivered and haven’t had a single customer. When I check online many other people are selling 1/3 of a cord for $35 delivered. Last year I had no issues selling at $80 per 1/3 cord.
I had a 2006 Tundra that I got t-boned in last year. got hit by a Dodge van doing 65 on my door. Lucky to be alive. Mine had 145,000 on it. It was barely broken in. They are great trucks. I have had 3. I couldn't afford a new one, so I bought a Tacoma. Could barely afford that on retirement. You won't get 20 mpg. That is the only negative of a Tundra, they get horrible mileage.
One of my firewood customers this year said he likes the idea of me using a beater 2002 Silverado for firewood. We were both like, "Why beat the hell out of a $50,000 firewood truck?'
Every state has a different version of registrations for “classic” vehicles. You don’t have to register it that way but if you do, it comes with certain restrictions. Sounds like Wisconsin is no driving in January. In my state it is no driving at night and there is a mileage cap you are supposed to keep it under.
Heck yeah, toyotas go forever almost right on. If ever it just dies for no aparent reason, while driving, or wont start its a ground strap. Been thru that a few times with late 90s early 2000s neighbors toyota trucks. Easy fix once you know where it is.

I have had 2 fords and 2 chevys and one tundra... the tundra is by far the best truck I have ever had/driven.
Round bales are normally more like 600-1000 lbs each. Depending what cutting, bale size and type of hay.

So, in Wisconsin, you can get antique plates after 20 years. I just found out in Florida it is 30 years for the plate. My truck truck is a 2001 F 250.
Thats probably because vehicles last so much longer down there...
Washington state is also 30 years old. But there are some rules that go with it, but not many follow

It is a Cheaper form of Registration for a Vehicle that is over 20 years old .
