The amount of patience in without upgrading your weapon to defeat Margit is amazing. I would have gone crazy and prob stopped playing. Funny that Margit kept trying you to lose your ambition to become Elden Lord, but in the end, it prob happened to him 😂. Also it's interesting that you have not found any weapon you would like to change too. Think there is a sword that is slightly bigger in damage somewhere in the 'starting' area, but it's been too long to give a hint on where it might be.
Holy cow! When you ran out of all flasks, that got intense! My heart was in my mouth! You done so well learning his patterns and perfectly dodging them! Well done! 👏🏻 A couple things I’ll point out is, as a mage build, make more use of your ranged spells when there’s distance. Spam those cheap FP spells, as they tend to have quicker casting times. There was often times in the fight where you could have squeezed another 1-2 more spell attacks in. Make sure you continue levelling up your intelligence as well. The higher your intelligence the more damage your spells will do! 😊
Great job! Margit is no easy boss! Elden Ring was my first introduction to the souls games as well and Margit nearly caused me to quit before I even properly started. It wasn’t until after I took the time to explore and learn the fundamentals of the game that I learned just what makes them so fulfilling and rewarding when you prevail! All the best!

Put points into int, get the meteorite staff, and rock sling. You are making this way harder than it needs to be.
