    Hey I understand you. I got cut my last three years of HS, but overall it made me better as a player/individual. For me in HS it wasn’t about my skill or game that got me cut, it was more of the coach political view. After HS like 5+ years later, I reconnected with basketball and started playing it and now I’m just an amazing all around player to the point where I can hold my ground/compete with D1 basketball players and play Semi-Pro. HS is just an illusion.

    Same here bro I tried out many times for my high school times but I got cut 3 times 3 years in a row and My coach said to me that I had a lot of good skills but at that point, this was a few years ago in 2017/2018 2016 but my coach said at that time I was close to making it but I was cut! then I was pretty disappointed after a few weeks and months passed I never gave up and kept working on my craft and after 7 long hard intense years of basketball, I have put myself in a great opportunity to make the college team since Covid 19 helped give me extra time to train and make my goals come true in life! The past 3 years of me playing ball every summer for the last 2 years has greatly made me reach the next level I enjoyed your speech thanks homie for this wonderful life experience! u shared! this year my college sports, in general, got cancelled including basketball 2020 fall season and 2021 winter season which is good news since I can train more for half the year at most since I live in Toronto, Canada!

    • @teamdreamcatcherbasketball3045
      @teamdreamcatcherbasketball3045  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You never know what to expect. Every coach is different and every system is different. All you could do is work hard, be conditioned, and make sure you are as prepared as you can be. There will definitely be conditioning, ball-handling- and shooting.

  • @top2x441
    @top2x441 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What would you say when you hit all those colleges up? Im in a similar predicament & I always thought it was futile hitting d1 coaches with no film

    • @teamdreamcatcherbasketball3045
      @teamdreamcatcherbasketball3045  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You just gotta sell yourself and show to them that you are the worth the opportunity. I asked for a workout to get my chance to be on the team and told them who I was and what I thought I could bring to the table. When trying to walk on to a division 1 school first and foremost you gotta be a leader

    • @teamdreamcatcherbasketball3045
      @teamdreamcatcherbasketball3045  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@delan_lan Honestly, probably not. Coaches aren't usually allowed to watch open gym unless its something that they are hosting. You have to just show your face as much as you can. It doesn't matter if you think you better than the scholarship players, you got to prove that to the coach. You gotta be willing to put in that and live in the lab.
