There are two (and a half) theories as to why Babidi couldn't MC Buu: 1. The simplest answer: Buu was too powerful. If he could one-shot the Devil himself and go toe-to-toe with SS3 Goku, it was probably a safe bet Babidi couldn't do jack :P 2. THIS version of Buu has the mind of a child. Children are (usually) innocent and pure-hearted, so that excuse could work. 2.5: "Fat Buu" contained several Kais within his make-up, which facilitates both pure heart(s) and God Ki which, despite not being expanded on 'til Super, could also be a valid excuse for his immunity to control.
@@zenkye23 not really vegeta broke free because as he himself said he let himself get mind controlled like he wasnt pure of heart in the buu saga but even the dragon balls recognized him as a good person Plus buu is literally made of magic
@@danielgonzalez-vm5lj Yeah I guess that makes sense. I think Babidi's magic makes it easier for him to tempt one with darkness and evil in their heart, and Vegeta saw that path at the time the only way to rival Goku.
You're technically right although it's also correct you're not being able to be controlled if you're past a certain power, Vegeta actually resisted Babidi's control in Z

Vegeta admitted to Goku that he let Babidi take over his mind so that he could grow strong enough to challenge Goku at SSJ2, and nothing else mattered to him. Vegeta at Super Sayian Blue (a.k.a SSGSS) had long since stop being so obsessed with surpassing Goku, thus Babidi's mind control wouldn't work.
@1:51 Maybe he does still say it in a way by mentioning revenge, but imagine Trunks said something of the sorts "This is what you get for taking my dad away from me" 😢
Wouldn't that be utterly humiliating, to have Goku Black forced under Babidi's control? The enemy of the Kais bringing the Zero Mortals Plan to a screeching halt?
What happened in Future Trunks's Buu Arc is that he got trained to wield the Z Sword by Supreme Kai and Kibito, then they fought Debura and Babidi when they showed up on Earth. Supreme Kai and Kibito both died in the battle. The Z Sword was turned to stone by Debura's spit which killed Elder Kai. Trunks achieved SSJ2 against them and prevented the Revival of Majin Buu. Babidi is an evil guy
Do supreme kais have god ki? Pretty sure they would have noticed not being able to sense Shen in the Buu arc if they did.

In xenoverse 1, Demigra couldn't control people with god ki, granted in 2 Fu could, but it's likely similar to demigras power
