As far as I know after this game they only made games for Wii U and Nintendo DS. I didn´t have them or want them. I waited for a PS3 release but it never came.

I miss it, loc lac, the story, the first time hunting, the hard as hell alatreon, the bugs in volcano and the island, running out of time in jhen hunt, the first time I hunted barroth, the bowgun system...

is it just me or this game is just pure awesomeness... beautiful graphics, nice gameplay and controls, catchy story. This is one of the few games that makes the Wii worth buying and playing. This is one of the best games I've ever played and I'm saying this after playing Skyrim.
Im glad to see there are still games out there that are difficult enough to warrant guides on the internet. So many games these days are just too easy. Sometimes I hate how difficult G-rank quests can be solo but at least its a challenge that's worth the time.

The description explains why he used a water weapon(it does more raw damage). As for this video I'll give you a quick rundown: he bombs himself to less than 10% HP which activates a skill(Felyne heroics) which gives him 50% more damage. When Deviljho sleeps he takes triple damage from the first attack that hits, so the barrel bombs do significant damage since it bypasses defense. This video is impressive because this fight usually takes a team of four, yet he's soloed it in a (very) decent time.
Watching these vids i understand why they say mhw is the easiest, cause it became a lot more hack and slashy with less strategy and stuff like using these blue steaks.
(old post I know, bear with me) Honestly, kindly disagree there, because the only reason MHW was easy for a lot of people was because a lot of people who played it were also veterans of the series, so they had an easier time, but the game is genuinely pretty hard from beginning to end. MHW is easier to learn, harder to master, but honestly, it all depends on the player. I think all of the games have their own charm with difficulty, I don't necessarily think some are harder than others and vice versa.
I have some questions that needs to be answered because I am a noob at Monster Hunter Tri. 1.So the barrel giving you damage make your health go down so your defense is higher? 2.Do you use the small bombs or the Large bombs to gain attack power or just get defense? 3.How do you even raise your attack really high and what kind of decoration (idk what its called to attack to armor) do you use to kill it so fast? Why am I asking these noob questions? Because I never seen anyone kill it in 10 when I do it in 50 with 4 people online until Nintendo shut it down for online.
They use the bomb because of the 'heroics' skill, which massively raises damage if you are low on health. To get low on health they use bombs before fighting the monsters.

Okay So, the earliest switch axe you can get that has green sharpness is the "Assault axe" which you get from upgrading "bone axe+". But you need Barroth parts for it so it won't do you much good since that is what you are fighting. You can, however get the knight lance from your point in the game. First get iron Lance, upgrade it to iron lance+, then upgrade to Thane lance, then upgrade to knight lance, which has green sharpness. You will need a lot of metals including pelagicite ore which is..
From what I know there are no invincibility frames in Monster Hunter. I think there is a skill that makes your hitbox smaller, so you can roll through their legs or under their tail when they swing it. The general Monster Hunter playstyle is to run circles around it until it does something, then stab it a couple times, roll away, repeat. But you can go a level above and do what this guy is doing to maximize damage output.
In MH2G (MHFU outside JPN), you were able to nullify earthquake by taking advantage of the brief amount of invincibility during rolls. I'm guessing the same works for Tri.
I hunt fairly often with a guy that had said "after a while you focus on trying to maximize damage and tend to care a lot less about defense..." I think this is an awesome example of that idea.
There's a petition on change.org to bring back the online servers for this game. I think we all want it back lol can people spread the word? Pretty please?
I really doubt that would happen considering not only does it cost money to keep up those servers, but the MH3U version of this game is on Wii U which is an enhanced version of this game that is really supporting the new system. They'd be dumb to give people any reason to ignore the new game if they want Wii U to succeed.
DisturbedKoala I can't blame Capcom for shutting MH3 servers to fund the free servers for MH3U instead. Remember that in Japan, players are actually paying fees for the servers. We should be thankful Capcom has provided us them for free here. I don't think they can be financially stable attempting to run two separate servers for free that encompasses thousands of players each. Nevertheless, I'm happy to say I had thorough enjoyment out of MH3 way before the servers were shut down. Running with three characters with one HR 999. The game is now 3 years old; if you bought it within the past year, you should have enough time to pretty much accomplish everything you want. It's not like an MMO where it can go forever. There comes a point where you've done everything possible in the game (not including raising HR beyond 51), and all that's left is to just have fun with friends. Oh and it's quite sad; I want to play MH3U but have absolutely no interests in the Wii U nor its current line up of games. Hence, I'm not going to shell out $400 just to play one game.
Wonderpierrot You should get a 3DS, then. Sure, MH3U can burn through the battery (unless you turn wireless off), but you can get 60 fps and (improved) content from Portable 3rd. Also, MH4U is coming out early next year.

@quietLP 1 she has evasion+1 which increases the likly hood of rolling through attack so the dragon breath.2 heroics is a food skill she used which increases your attack by alot when your weak (like she was) (heroic is a food skill;)
Evasion+1 or +2 make it much easier to dodge things. If your having trouble learning how to dodge, just make an armor set with those armor skills and practice until you feel confident enough to start trying to dodge the same attacks without evasion skills.
There is a food skill known as "heroics" It increases your attack by at least 3 when your health is low enough. so he put his health low enough so heroics would be activated.
HolySoldier162 well it a useful skill I can roll through roar without being stun or roll into an attack without being purnish for it. Don't underestimate avasion up
I have defeated nearly 200 deviljo in MH3, I did it sometimes solo but never that fast. Your skill to dodge is very impressive with so few health. Personally I mostly use alatreon lance against this monster, it is very effective if you know how to use it. My question for you is why you use a water weapon, it is not effective against a deviljho, because it is weak to lightning and dragon elements only. You could finish your fight even quicker if you use black harvest or thunder strike.

The little health bar is part of the strategy, there is a skill in that set that gives you more damage if your health is below 25%

@quietLP 1 she has evasion+1 which increases the likly hood of rolling through attack so the dragon breath.2 heroics is a food skill she used which increases your attack by alot when your weak (like she was) (heroic is a food skill;)

It's a switch axe. An axe which can we switched to a sword. It's much more powerful when in sword mode. You need to reload it to keep being in there.

It doesn't make your hitbox smaller.The evade skill increase your invulnerable time when dodging
Evasion+1 or +2 make it much easier to dodge things. If your having trouble learning how to dodge, just make an armor set with those armor skills and practice until you feel confident enough to start trying to dodge the same attacks without evasion skills.
There is a food skill known as "heroics" It increases your attack by at least 3 when your health is low enough. so he put his health low enough so heroics would be activated.

When did you learn that? New to MH and I never found a good way to utilize barrel bombs.
I guess 2 skill was evasion +2 and tremor resit
since the duration of invulnerability was slightly longer than normal roll
yup yup, the 100 plus evasion gives you ten hours of sidestep invulnerability.
HolySoldier162 well it a useful skill I can roll through roar without being stun or roll into an attack without being purnish for it. Don't underestimate avasion up
This dude was trapped in a room for a year with a Wii and one game and made the most of it.
I have defeated nearly 200 deviljo in MH3, I did it sometimes solo but never that fast.
Your skill to dodge is very impressive with so few health. Personally I mostly use alatreon lance against this monster, it is very effective if you know how to use it.
My question for you is why you use a water weapon, it is not effective against a deviljho, because it is weak to lightning and dragon elements only.
You could finish your fight even quicker if you use black harvest or thunder strike.
