Using Maiden's effect in game 2 was actually the right call, but she should've put blue eyes in defense
Yeah but had Sykkuno played his cards right, it wouldn't matter. He still had 1 Poly in his hand and 3 heroes other than Vision. He could make a Sunrise that targets 1 card when another heroes attack and he still had Sparkman with more attack than Leslie's LP.

You cant summon the second blue eyes in defense. Even then. He'd still wipe out both blue eyes, and his other monsters would clean the field and then attack directly.
He won as soon as he summoned Destiny Hero Trinity.
@@solidmoon8266 You can summon the Blue Eyes in defence, and his remaining monster would just kill the Maiden. She could buy her one extra draw but it would most likely be over for her.

toast did practice using numeron on stream yesterday haha! he was new and listened chat's advice when they told him about meta ftk decks
@@2xdeluxe Numeron is usually an OTK, not an FTK, deck, but depending on variant, it may become an FTK deck

@@2xdeluxe OTK means One-turn Kill it usually means that you ve killed your opponents the 1st turn you can attack so the 2nd turn of the game.
FTK means First turn kill, it's when you kill your opponents before he can take he's 1st turn :))))))))
@@ComteOlche i know what otk and ftk mean lol. what i didnt know was that numeron is typically not an ftk deck. i thought it was supposed to be one but toast was a new player listening to chat's terrible advice so he couldnt play it the way it was supposed to be played

@@shinemumaung337 Not really, she could just put the 2nd Blue Eyes in defence position but it wouldn't made no difference compared to her not activating the Maiden at all. That was a misplay by Leslie but she thought she could Summon another Blue eyes to save him for her turn (That's my guess) since Vision's attack would become 2500 after his summoning turn passes. Yugioh is way more complex than people realise and even reading the cards doesn't help sometimes. But the thing is, it never helps when you don't read them🤣
@@shinemumaung337 But honestly sykkuno had the upper hand either way coz even if she saved 1 Blue Eyes, he could just enter his Main Phase 2 and use Polymerization to fuse into Tornado that halves opponent's monsters attack permanently. Heroes deck has so many possibilities and win conditions.
It looks so much fun seeing they play but when i actually play here comes link pendulum etc and have to wait 30 min for the opponent to end their turn

For real, I downloaded the game because I saw one of these videos from these 2 playing, and decided to play for good old times, but then I had to wait like 30 minutes per turn because not only did my opponents summon like a million monsters per turn, but bullshit monsters who could get thousands of attack points as bonus, I'm from the generation in which summoning a 3000 attack points monster was insane and extremely rare to do, a time when monsters had reasonable effects, and summoning 2 or 3 monsters in the same turn was an insane play, yet, now there's synchro, link, pendulum, and a shit ton of other things, not to mention monsters with like 3 different special effects... The world is not what it used to be :'v but I'm slowly getting used to it, I even learned how to summon and use link monsters, I couldn't do that when I started playing the game XD
@@pierocubertino5845 completely agree. I used to play Duel Links which had synchro and Xyz, but didn't have Link and Pendulum. Less frustrating, but you also got limited in options and I didn't take it all that serious so I got slaughtered by some meta decks every now and then
@@maurits4845 I personally think that as impressive as those meta decks are, they take the fun out of the game, it's seriously not fun to have to watch 10+ minutes of some playing card after card, effect after effect, summoning like a dozen monsters, all in one turn, and at least 1 with ridiculously high attack points, just for the match to end in 5 turns or less.
I used to have so much fun playing 10+ turns with friends, and even the best decks when I was a kid had at most an Egyptian God, playing any monster with above 2000+ attack points like the red eyes black dragon, dark magician, and blue eyes white dragon, etc. Was already a winning play, but it would take like 3+ turns before you could even play them, and summoning 2 monsters in the same turn wasn't just rare, it was already an incredible play, but now I have played against randoms who summon like 20 monsters in the very first turn and easily monsters at the level of a blue eyes white dragon or superior with pretty broken effects, all in 1 damn turn.
Maybe I'm just old and that's why I dislike the new mechanics of the game, but I feel that at least 10 turns would be more fun than less than 5, I would rather summon one monster per turn but having to think of a careful strategy instead of just spamming like a dozen broken special effects in 1 turn, I mean, the point of a game is to have fun, but how much fun can you have if you barely even get to play?

holy shit, sykk's deck really complete, he has stratos, 3 blazeman, every hero fusion, even trinity. there's no way he didnt swipe at all for those.
its pretty solid deck, if lud's tournament only allows the player to play classic yugioh up to gx, then... his deck definitely top tier.
lets see if there's anything that can beat this, if leslie opt to build a blue eyes deck, its kinda incomplete, since the perfect blue eyes would require some synchro summons, with that white stone of the ancient.
maybe a dark magician deck with magic circle, or red eyes deck could give sykkuno a hard time.
Pretty sure his deck has cards outside of gx era.
you could actually build a pretty good deck without swiping at all. By just completing the tutorial alone, you could get a decent deck to play in ranked because you would have enough gems for 70 pack openings and some more. I have built a complete sky striker deck with some staples in just a few hours of playing the game without even paying a single cent.
He summoned Flame Wingman and used skyscrapers like in the gx anime LOL!

I like yu gi oh but have not played it for years, i like that they describe what some of the cards do and not just play 100cards consecutively and they just win
I'm from the old times when summoning a 3000 attack monster was a big deal, a time in which summoning 2 or 3 monsters in the same turn was already an insane play, and when even the monsters who had special effects had relatively reasonable effects. Now some monsters have like 2 to 3 different effects, you can summon like a million monsters in the same turn, and monsters with effects that give them thousands of attack points as bonus, plus synchro, link, pendulum, etc. Although all of these new things are interesting, the game kind of loses the fun when you have to wait like 30 minutes per turn to play, and every match ends in about 1 turn after someone summoned like a hundred monsters in 1 turn, I miss when the matches would last like 8 to 10+ turns in total, and you had to actually think about each play instead of just using dozens and dozens of special effects in the same turn and win with no challenge or struggle whatsoever

I don't believe so and even then if she did I don't believe she will know how to bring then out unless she has the requirements on the field and it glows yellow in the extra deck and she is like oh I can do something...

@@mr.turtle6414 if you atk maiden while she's in facedown defence, her effect won't activate, read the ruling, she must be face up to activate her effect.
As a blue eyes player yes maiden is really slow, and had to take her out of the deck to make room for eggs and sage but before that she needs to add trade ins, blue eyes alternative, jet, spirit, maybe dictator and take out the other stuff
@@mr.turtle6414 I'm gonna be a bit of a nerd here 🤓🤓. So in Yugioh, there are different steps during the battle phase - Battle Step (or Attack Declaration), Damage Step and within the Damage Step, Damage Calculation.
"Maiden with Eyes of Blue" has an effect that activates during the Battle Step - hence, the phrasing "When this card is targeted for an attack..." but cards are flipped face up during the Damage Step (before Damage Calculation), so when it is flipped face up, it misses the timing for activating its effect for the Battle Step.
Maiden basically telegraphs your moves too much and is really easy to play around, like Sykkuno did - not to mention being really slow having to rely on your Opponent attacking or targeting it with card effects first.

Personally, I think that one day they should host a yugioh tournament and they all reach out to professional or more knowledged yugioh players to guide them build a deck and see what happens
As someone who knows what "real" modern yugioh is like, definitely not. This is way more entertaining. That only goes for the deckbuilding aspect. I do think it'd be interesting to see MBT or Distant Coder as a caster for these ridiculous games.

They did fine for casual players
They don't stream/create Yu-Gi-Oh content for a living. People watch them streaming games in order to have fun and relax, nobody cares that they don't know shit at games because whether you like it or not, some people don't like to watch sweats. It's not top tier gameplay, yes, but who cares when they are entertaining to watch, not everyone prefers the same cup of tea. I'm not a fan of theirs but I still tune in every once in a while to just chill and have a good laugh.

It’s a children’s card game that most people am have fond memories of. Leslie and Sykuno are great entertainers and just act silly. Combine the two and it’s fun.
Maidens effect only works if it's attacked with effects or monsters not if it's sent to the graveyard she is wrong
